I have been having an Acai Bowl at this brazilian lunch place next to my gym. I'm doing it post workout and I'm wondering if all this sweet goodness is just my insulin shooting through the roof. Is Acai good for bodybuilding or just more sugar?

Packed with calories bro, a lot of sugar in all of its forms. Once in a while maybe treat but not for daily consumption.

There is too much sugar. As mentioned above, you can eat it from time to time, but it should be considered as a hella cheat meal. It is definitely not a diet food.

Depends man. Sugar can have its advantages. Overall I would avoid it unless you know specifically what your doing or maybe if you were experimenting with insulin.

Fruit can be eaten in moderation but overall it's not the best choice.

Remember that fruit is approximately 50% fructose. Fructose is only able to replenish liver glycogen. Your liver has a glycogen capacity of roughly 50g. Anything above that will be turned into body fat through 'de novo lipogenesis'. That might be more science then you're after but in lay man's terms: it's okay for once and a while but I wouldn't consume it regularly.

After your workout, wh not have a whey protein shake (such as isolation from n2bm.com) with a serving of oatmeal and a banana?

A little sugar can help on a bulk but just the sound of that seems a little much, maybe once a week tops after a great leg day or something but I think you'll be able to manage without it
