Glutamine is good for gut health and immune function, but it will do very little for muscle growth and recovery. It isn't even an essential amino acid.
BCAA are much better in that regard. The amino acid L-leucine in BCAA directly signals protein synthesis through the mTor pathway. I personally use the BCAA and bovine plasma serum protein gear from n2bm.com. I use 1 serving before and after each workout.

I would personally just use BCAA and save your money on the glutamine.
