betaine

betaine used in Bodybuilding for a while now, also known as trimethylglycine (TMG) or betaine anhydrous. Betain supplements have been discussed on several websites and trimethylglycine written about by Jim Stoppani and other reputable sources. This is extracted from beet root.

I'm looking for real user betain reviews. Do any of you guys have anything to report on betain supplements?

I have never used betaine as a supplement by itself. It is in a lot of pre-workout products I have used and can't say I have noticed any difference using a pre-workout that contains betaine verses one that doesn't.

I personally would just eat beets. Beets are extremely healthy. Anything that deep in color will be full of carotenoids and anti-oxidants. Beets are full of nitrates, which will increase blood flow to your muscles. They were actually used by the Romans as an aphrodisiac.

I wrote a very in-depth article for my website on my 5 favourite non-conventional foods. Beets was #5. Give it a read:

Thanks for the interesting information. Have read the article with a lot of joy.

I've only seen it in pre workouts, but from the reading and research seems like a pretty solid ingredient
