Silk Amino Acids

Have you guys seen these at the stores? they are suppose to mix easier and regular amino acids, have you tried these?

Yes i read this in a magazin it has some 18 amino acids in silk protein or some sort. I think BCAA are a good addition bu not vital, since you should get enough protein from your diet, and now these aminos just sound like a better way to take a non essential supp.

Silk amino acids are vastly inferior to BCAAs and EAAs in practically every regard. They've been mis-marketed and the claims being made about them are based upon shoddy and irrelevant rodent research. If you want to use them for their overpriced gluconeogenic capacity, you're better off using carbs.

I am a strong supporter of BCAAs - to me they have proven themselves to be much more effective, and quite cheaper in the end of the day. All these claims about aminos solving better etc. are just marketing hypes that are not backed with evidence. Don't let them fool you.

Silk amino acids are garbage. It is all marketing hype. They actually have a very poor amino acid profile. One study showed them being LESS anabolic then soy protein.

Stick with BCAA or EAA. They have much more evidence backing them and have been proven to be effective and cost effective.
