Hi all I'm just wondering what different ways people train... I was in the gym yesterday and got talking to another person and he said the best muscles to train together are chest shoulders and back in one session then biceps and triceps in another and then legs on another day... he had a good physic but to me that's too many big muscles all in one session?

Depends on the intenisty you train them where your at with your physique and your goals i mix it up constantly but I train chest back and legs (major compound movements)3 times per week then shoulder arms and calves 2 a week mostley isolation

His programm looks quite feasible to me. However, it greatly depends on your individual traits, as you may have an easier time training certain parts of the body, so you can add in there more muscle groups. Besides, it will also greatly depend on the intensity of your training. For instance, I do at least 3-4 sessions per month, where I workout on all of the bodyparts, and it works great for me.

You can split up the way you train your body parts many different ways. There is no 'right or wrong' way. The most important thing is to not train the same body part two days in a row, because you won't allow time for it to recover. This is my current workout split:
Day 1: Legs heavy

Day 2: Shoulders and arms heavy

Day 3: Chest back heavy

Day 4: 30 minutes of cardio and abs

Day 5: Legs volume

Day 6: Shoulders and arms volume

Day 7: Chest back volume

Day 8: 30 minutes of cardio and abs

You may respond well to various routines. For me right now, I am cutting and doing a 3 day split...push/pull/legs. I do some volume and some heavy days but really focus on the cardio.
