Day 6: Dole Day Shopping & Dinner
Meat is back on the menu boys

Tuesday 6pm is when my dole cheque appears in my account. I got a fat key of steak and a few cans to replenish the bed-tuna stores. It's weekly, $351.78 Sir Edmonds, £156.09 Pound Sterling or $209.86 United States Dollars. We gotta make it as anabolic and protein laden as possible

I can't wait to become a part of it, and since everyone is new because it only opened yesterday, starting a conversation with another gym goer should be easy,

Took about 5 pokes through your skin/vein to make them blunt in the past, but veins are much more delicate

Big news fellas. I woke up with a raging hard-on again. Also showered for the first time since last Wednesday, and winter is drawing to a close so I better get better at that, I get sniffed directly by officials every morning. Won't be able to leave meat under my bed much longer either.

I get up at 0400 usually make my meals for the day at 0600, 0700 at this stage I go to work I get home at either 1800 or 1900 I'm in bed by 2100. I train whenever I can get it In. My schedule is due to change by the day any day.

calf injections can really get infected and cause high pip brother
dont do them if you can avoid, the only places to pin for you are delts arms glutes and quads last resort

Nah not free but it was kinda a bonus. Peter Jackson bought up the whole block where my gym is and is going to smash the gym down and the gym doesn't have a new location

It's a mainstream gym chain, really good but they have another brand of gyms, their R18 ones with private bathrooms and all that sort of thing.

I always had the most expensive membership because I wanted to go to their group classes and stuff, and that same membership gets me into this new gym too

The steak in the picture was 1.038kg and was tough but great cut up, would have been great in a slow cooker. I'm about to go get my daily kilo, but I'll get ground beef this time.

you can get cheap cuts of meat and use a jaccard meat tenderizer and make them pretty tender. it was my best friend in my 20’s and 30’s when i was poor. I’m really thinking about using it again for sirloin steak. my daughter likes beef tenderloin a little to much.

i was looking at a different picture sorry

It's not exactly chuck steak but most people would find it tough, I just cut it up before cooking and just swollow it. I don't know what cut it is exactly either

It was not much more expensive than chuck or blade steak though, I would have got that if I had a slow cooker

Bro we gotta teach you the best spots and how to pin, gauges, etc. Glutes, lats, all three delt heads, and a very specific spot on the quad you have many really meaty options that can handle 3 CC's easy!

Day 1: left quad
Day 2: right quad
Day 3: left quad
Day 4: outer quad with updated instructions
Day 5: right deltoid
Day 6: left Deltoid
Day 7: right calve

I'll try the quad tomorrow or the next day after we talk about it =)

There's glute and vent glute. Each side. So that's 4 new spots you can use that work really well.

Took the opportunity to get sale Pork

$13 NZD for 1.5KG & cook it up before the gym.

Washed and dried my clothes at the laundromat mat. It's ah, been a while.

Gotta clean up for the new gym a little, it's swanky.

I'm in the carpark eating pork then I'll go in and lift.

New Gym Update

I'm at my new gym and this is the second night in a row that I have the entire place to myself.

This is my second visit in today, I talked to the female owner, staff and cleaner, told them I think this new place is like Disneyland and I'll be in every day from now on.

I told them I wrote them a five star google maps review after my three hour visit last night, where I had the entire gym to myself. They giggled and said thank you in tandem in that adorable way woman do that smacks you in the feels sometimes.


It is stocked with all Nautilus machines and a lifting cage and platform, full cable stations.

All these Nautilus machines are brand fucking new too.

Nautilus build and refined these machines over decades and decades, tested on the general public at large, to transform the human body.

Strengthen, grow and mould flesh with steel.

If logging is to be my new occupation then this is my new workshop.

I can't describe how well things are going.

The testosterone therapy is working. I'm not just a new-age hippy smack-head alcoholic. I really can feel my life force returning and symptoms subsiding.

All the pieces of my life are falling into place nicely.

Not really I'm barely treading water. I'm running multiple servers on discord, posting content. I have a lot on my plate trying to prepare for when I'm back looking for work

You should take a day off and vape some MC and watch a TV series or something brother.

Have you seen the Japanese anime Baki? If not download that. It's about training and it's mad pre-workout. It's got sweet training and lifting montages. I love those crazy little buggers.

But seriously bro six hours is not enough sleep, 1600 is not enough kcals for how hard you're going. You're also way too stressed.

Remember what Mike Mentzer and Dorian Yates say about rest and recuperation bro. Go back and listen to their stuff about it again.

Your body will struggle to grow under those conditions and add stress onto that and you'll start getting dodgy skin and shit too. Take it from someone who has burnt out several times burning the candle at both ends as an alcoholic corporate whore.

You gotta take it easy sometimes bro. Can you catch the bus into town and get a massage or some shit? Why not try drop fifty bucks on a hipster haircut or something. Make you feel good and forget about training for a day.

Maybe go to the public swimming pool and soak in the hot tub. Usually some friends to be made there too.

How about we watch some shit together on the weekend and talk on the phone at the same time and forget about training. Pick a night bro and I'll be there.

I also recommend daily "body scan meditation", there's ten minute guided ones around.

Basically spending ten minutes controlling your breath and move your focus from muscle to muscle and actively concentrate to relax it, then move onto the next.

I also set a reminder to relax a few times a day. Take a minute and unforrow your brow, then unclench your jaw, then relax your shoulders and let your arms hang, then take a deep breath and hold it for five and slowly exhale.

Yeah thanks dude, I do need to relax more. At this stage I have one day we're I jam the game with the bros if they are available but everyone has been busy so I have just been playing by myself

I did the @HarleyGuy Shoulder Routine the first night.

If there's nobody there I can grunt more freely. I'll be ready by the time I swipe the doors open and right away warm up in some fancy upper crust manner I'm not aware exists yet. All the cardio machines are up on the mezzanine floor up stairs, so running up the staircase is a good way to start

Then I'll follow the post-it list of exercises, going from machine to machine smashing out my sets while blasting loud music on my headphones and generally behaving like I own the place.

Ill go as hard as I can, and choose weight aiming to take most sets of 12 to near failure like I do with my PT, he always nails it.

I did three sets of 12 Olympic bar squats last night after the machines and pull-ups.

Dunno if I was just exhausted from all the machine sets but it was relatively difficult, the bar felt pretty heavy.

I'll take a photo of it tonight and do more bar squats and see how they feel

I will bro thanks! I was planning to copy a bunch of your stuff too anyway. I only currently buy eggs from a good source and I've been buying meat from one of the evil mainstream supermarkets.

I haven't atcually thought about it at all but it's completely against my philosophy of life and how I want to live. I want to buy from farmers and market gardeners and fishermen directly.

I was thinking I could visit local butchers, I cant even think where a single one is, and just tell them my situation and try and form a relationship.

I'll say I have $140 a week for food and want to eat only meat and see what he replies with in the way of solutions. Might mention I'm willing to eat anything if he runs it through his grinder for me.

Then I could try aim higher with protein, not as crazy as you or anything but pointed upwards in that direction and steadily increasing over time.

I encountered a new potential place I could do volunteer work for, maybe an hour every morning cleaning up this overnight rubbish problem they have, I'm going to go in the morning and talk to them about it.

The lady said there's a criminal record check but I only have dangerous-driving and high-range drunk-driving convictions on my record so it should be okay.

It is! I didn't know that one, done it the last two nights in a row, 3 sets of 12 @ 5kg, it gets tough! I went to failure.

Took me a while to get the hip-hinge movement and my PT said I'm not ready. But I was so into leg-press and hack-squat that we kinda forgot about them.

He taught me RDLs, initially with kettle bells and I practice the hip-hinge in various ways, we started progressing on the landmine-row too, starting light.

So these barbell-squats are the first atcual real squats I've ever done and I feel they are okay form and I'm not hurting myself.

I've fractured L2 before, and thrown it out again swimming so I think I'd feel if I was putting the weight on my spine.

I will try video tape my form but there's others around tonight =/ one dude moved nearly the full stack on leg-press, didn't look like the type too.

Maybe I can find a lifting-partner here one day. At least I know he's not the type to go for the $7 membership and not support the gym and use their elite stuff

Did another 12 on leg-press before I remembered I already done them, those squats spaced me out

What I mean is the more volume you can do the better, I'm talking about getting more sets in the gym and cardio. Cardio being the big one that will help you progress a lot :D

Perfect, thanks for the feedback bro. I'm keen to follow this advice, I've been getting a lot of benefits from volume such as enjoying atcually doing it for the most part, practising visualising through the exercise before executing it, the mind-muscle connection and just practising my form.

Also cardio is going good thanks and I'll have some updates on that soon as I formalise some more things. But at the moment I'm out of deisel so been walking at least two hours a day just doing my daily tasks, but pleasure walking and pacing while on the phone in addition.

Cardio is this entire UNIVERSE of cool stuff to explore outside the gym! I'm hoping to do some budgeting so I can do one two hour roller skating session a week, they're hard-core intense cardio I wouldn't know how to replicate in the gym .

Day 9: Friday Night Lifting & Metal

Friday night at the new gym, exciting!! There's two chicks in yoga pants I'm the Reformer Pilates room, that room full of weird machines I posted on Monday.

I smashed out ten minutes on the treadmill to warm up and could sense the presence of proper gym bunnies but I just turned the volume up.

I just saw out the side of my eye on the way to the water Fountain, I didn't dare look else I might get distracted and I'm gonna get these bicep curls in on a machine for it, first time!

There's a chick doing RDLs with the bar in the squat rack, a dude on the Ab Cruncher and two ladies doing something on the mats.

I am riding the vibes for sure but got my headphones cranking and focused on lifting.

Friday night is Lifting Night now.  Not unlike the days before and after it.

That last set of 12 curls did the trick. Near failure again. After the cardio and curls I'm sweating and had to wipe the machine down. This place has wipes dispensers not bottles and paper towels - flash az f bros. Dude on the Ab Cruncher so I'll come back later.

I feel more alive than I have since I was a teenager in the nineties staying up all night on the modem.

I might just be a crackhead but I swear woman can pick up that I've started showering again or something. I've been trying to keep my distance but they just seem to be there when I'm trying to stay away. Ah well.

I need to go more, double gym. Go do cardio there in the mornings.

I need to go to the group classes at their yoga studio. Ive been oauing for it for three years but not going.

It's on the second floor and I've never even been up there before... I just watch gaggles of woman stream out of there occasionally. I've already got my own mat.

They do these gamified half our cardio bike group classes at 6:15am that look pretty sweet.

But above all other reasons, that is where my nearest hacksquat lives. The new gym only has a leg press, leg curl and leg extension.

The old gym is large and has a full suite of pin-loaded Startrac machines on one side of the gym, and plate loaded Hammer Strength gear on the other side.

The new gym is a Nautilus-based outfit. Between the two gyms I have access to a full range of machines from three major manufacturers.

She'll be right.

I think there's room for two gyms in my life. I pay for all their shit so I should participate. And they are only 150 meters apart.

-If your sword cable pulls for delts are too forced just lower the weight and increase volume so you get the burn, and hold the contraction when your arm is fully out and up.
-Great update and great job on the low carb (low carb for now)

You're totally correct brother. They started giving it to me in hospital detox two years ago.

I used to get given them daily by the pharmacist with my antabuse and methadone but I was sick of bumping into other bums who try and sell me benzos so I moved to a upper-crust neighbourhood an hour round trip on foot away and dose there.

I'm the worst case there so everyone's a good influence in one way or another and my mornings are much more pleasent. Plus I'm motivated to walk an hour each weekday morning by not wanting to go into crippling opiod withdrawal 😅

At the new place they give me a new bottle of each every 56 days.

Im on the lowest weight of 5kg but got through 3 sets of 12 on three different days this week, and shoulder press too. Feel great man!

I just got back from the gym, it's 23:30 and ate another can of tuna. Labouring descaling rust on the ship tomorrow, carb refeeding day. Gotta try get some sleep.

After lifting I did a half-hour sequence on the fancy massage chairs and I feel amazing... never been touched like that by a machine before.

Thanks bro I'm working on a plan for eating to run by you.

I'm thinking about adding fruit and vegetables from the farmers market back in for financial reasons. @Mobster and @stevesmi talk about eating your vegetables on the podcast a lot.

I was thinking about getting a blender for whey protein powder, eggs and maybe banana shakes. I don't know but I only have $6 left, blew all my money on meat and now only have 12 eggs left. I should check out food banks and see what I can get. I've paid a couple of million dollars in tax before.

What do you think? I will still stay organic, up my protein but lower my fat, and stay eating mainly whole food but not just meat like I would like to do but can't really afford.

I'm going to be on retatrutide and @LevButlerov said low fat digests better on reta. Dunno if that changes things.

@LevButlerov is right though, cardio is often overlooked or disregarded. But imo its almost the most important, not just fat loss focus but the big one being heart health. Bad heart and its all downhill from there.

I really am bro, but I don't feel like it's a solo journey, I'm following a path laid out, logged and proven by the underground masters here on the forums and am being greatly assisted and inspired by all you guys.

@LevButlerov is right though, cardio is often overlooked or disregarded. But imo its almost the most important, not just fat loss focus but the big one being heart health. Bad heart and its all downhill from there.

I totally agree bro I'd never trade cardio for anything. I love skateboarding and roller skating and surfing and swimming and running away from the police and juggling.

I'm going to add more structure though, and want to start yoga and cardio bike group classes, maybe one each a week.

Government Thiamine and Mysterious Multivitamin
I’ll bet they give you these for your previous alcohol use. Alcohol blocks thiamine in the brain. It’s why alcohol makes people kinda whacky. I self administered it when I stopped drinking. In theory, with no alcohol or processed grains you would not need to supplement it. Pretty much all processed grains in the US are fortified with B1 and other things by law, even if the package doesn’t say so, like white rice if it isn’t organic. You can actually become deficient by eating all organic because of this. Unless you supplement, of course.

When I first started training, I was 100% replacing my addictive behavior with the high from working out and I would damn near cripple myself often. You’ve got hormonal support so that will help, and you are wise stick to the bar with squats for now. Your enthusiasm hints to me that you could do like I did. I’m sure you’ll be fine, I just want to mention that I absolutely did hurt myself and I’m lucky it wasn’t worse. Lots of two steps forward, three steps back for me.

Your gym looks super clean and quite kitted out, did that just open recently?

How are you feeling day to day from your workouts? Are you still getting alot of DOMS, or have you toughened up and passed that phase already😏

Yeah bro it opened for the first time on Monday morning so I was in there first thing Tuesday evening. I guess coz it's 24/7 it only opens once.

I watched them unbox the Nautilus machines.

It's so flash man. I used the massage chairs last night and it almost gave me a hand job, felt weird being touched by a machine like that. Woman have got some pretty stiff competition these days.

Man I haven't thought about DOMS at all now you mention it. I'm going to go with no, I should have got some after that leg press at least.

Ah atcually my abs were really sore the other day from that Nautilus Ab Cruncher machine come to think of it, better now two days later.

Every work out this week has been the best workout I've ever had. Maybe not as important as some of the ones with my trainer where I learnt something big but I was by myself this week

Why would they choose a bicep curl machine over a hacksquat? Those are hardly a dangerous learning curve with free weights. The gym is small so they had to choose but still...

I was thinking of doing really heavy hacksquat once a week and other times do high volume squats with just the olympic bar. They were fucking me up just with the bar for sure. Got through six sets of 12 all up last night

Fair enough man, I can see how that'd work. I atcually wish I'd tried that when I was younger, it might have worked. Probaby not actually but seems worth a try.

I had a two year break in between sobering up and beginning at the gym. I bought the membership right away with that intention but couldn't figure it out until I got the PT.

I'm way more likely to do too little than too much. I'm also really scared of getting hurt now I'm sober. I have broken every bone in my body apart from my spine which I fractured riding my bike to the liquor store while drunk in a mountain bike accident.

Did you level out or just keep going?
 
@LevButlerov help me with this. When I think of volume, I’m thinking of the total amount lifted, weightXrepsXstes. So 100 pound bench x 10 reps x 1set = 1000 pounds total volume. Does this translate correctly to your use of the word “volume”?

Hah interesting. I think of it like adding more sets at the same weight or more sets after dropping the weight.

You could stretch out 1000 pounds into a million reps right?

I can put a shit ton more weight on the hack squat. I love it too.. look up the guy who invented it, George Hackenschmidt, he's a madman. He also invented the bench press.

Looks bloody nice. Yeah 24 hours gyms will have certain staffed hours for walk ins, new membership sign ups, trial/day passes etc.

😂 at the handy comment. The chair would be cheaper and a better financial investment too. Just needs a little clean up occasionally, but you'd never get nagged at hey😅

Nah that's good mate. DOM's are nice to feel sometimes, but week in week out and it just becomes annoying. Sounds like you're making good headway brother.
 
Day 10: Refeed & Rust
And Back-Loading Syringes

Didn’t make it to the exchange the other day like I said. And I'm out of short-tips and in a hurry.

I was just gonna get that ever familiar 27g 1ml and slam it through that vial-stopper and into my ass but I don't want the negative feedback haha.

So here's how to back-load a syringe barrel. This is not advisable for street drugs as usually that means skipping filtering them and they've likely been in a few asses already on the way to you.

Get out two picks (seen in 2 and 3) and take the plunger put and out it back in the packet like in 1:

Fill the complete syringe's barrel with warez and stick it into the back of the one you removed the plunger for:

Then now is the tricky part.

Get the stopper back out and gently hold it at the end but don't push it in else the pressure will make your warez squirt out the needle end.

While gentle holding it in place, tip the whole rug upside down keeping the plunger there, as soon as you see an air gap, push the plunger in 1mm till you feel it pop in.

Then hold it upside down for a minute while the oil trickles down so all oil is at the bottom. Flick it with your finger to help it along

Then you can push the plunger up to remove all the air and get it ready to put in your ass

🤣🤣🤣 I have learned not to overdo it. This may have been easier because as my form and strength improved I simply can’t go as hard because the heavier squats and deadlifts are so immediately taxing that I won’t keep going. My body is or was very optimized for endurance. A little weight goes a long way for me
