Any way to buy/store/send crypto in Australia without ID, or with digital license?

I'm a bit sick of paying inflated prices, to my current supplier and I want to dip my toe into online purchases.

It seems that most crypto joints in oz require ID to at least purchase? I really don't give a shit about providing ID (I used to work at the tax office and I actually know how little the authorities care about online, illegal, retail purchases) However, I now only have a digital driver's license and my passport is expired and neither seem to be acceptable for verification?

Does anyone know if there is a way I can get around this? I was pointed in the direction of exodus, but they use moonpay for payment and they need ID verification.

If anyone knows of a solid aussie source that still takes bank transfer, or a way I can send bitcoin using some sort of in person service where I can show a real life human, my digital license, I'd really appreciate it? Or if there is a wallet/exchange that doesn't require ID? I stupidly left things too late and it's been a week since my last shot of test and I don't like to totally come off anymore. I was using enanthate so I should be ok for a wee while, but it's now playing with my head...

Basically you got trade-offs for all options when using crypto.

If you find an ATM with small limits and no KYC, you’ll pay for larger spreads. Sometimes 20-30% higher than an exchange.

If you use an exchange I’d recommend withdrawing to a self custody wallet only you secure first, then using the crypto for purchases. The exchange may want to verify you are transferring to yourself which you can prove easily. Unless you’re using something like Monero just remember everything is recorded on a public open ledger, so avoid linking personal data to your address. Hard to do because you’re also relying on the recipient doing the same.

There are decentralized exchanges like LocalCoinSwap and Bisq where like here there’s a list of reviewed vendors that can sell crypto via cash or bank xfer. That would be the most involved method imo. I

Are you just getting BTC? There's a few reasonably priced exchangers on localbitcoins but I haven't used it for 5 years now. It's basically p2p trading but some vendors can take cardless cash or cash in the mail for example.

Cardless cash is the common one, you spin them up a code with your bank app, they pull it out of an ATM and xfer you the coins.

Hell yeah! I'd be more nervous about the machine fucking up and taking your stack tho. I think you're pretty safe in Australia bro. Customs is hardcore but if you stay domestic there's very low risk. Before I went to rehab I spent a decade buying smack off darknet markets and had zero problems as long as I stayed domestic.

Heard a million stories of people fucking it up by being greedy and trying to import cheap stuff from Holland tho. My personal favourite was a guy just got a new flat and there were some letters to the old tenant so he had the bright idea to order to his new house but in that guys name. That guy however had already set up a mail forward and randomly got 5 grams of smack in the mail for his flatwarming party

I bought some gear off a vendor that takes bank transfer but I still need a couple of things. I tried my previoud supplier and I won’t mention actual specifics but the prick wants to charge me $250 for a bottle of orals, that sells for $100 off most of the Aussie vendors on here. I don’t mind paying a bit extra for convenience, but that is just taking the piss… Not to mention he wants 130 for an 80/90 vial. Absolute wanker.

Have you seen how much a passport costs now? Insanity. I’ve already got a digital license so I only had to pay 27 to get a placcy one.

Plus a passport takes ages to get hold of and you have to physically go to the post office for an appointment and get photos signed by a reference etc. then unless you pay even more, to speed it up, it takes a couple of weeks from memory. Easier to just grab the license.
