I have a autocraft with a gauge and I kinda hate it, not as bad as the syringe but still pretty shitty got something in the works it that doesn't pan out then I'll be giving that water thing a go I'll layout my idea in a new reply

Here is my proposed idea
A $15 vacuum pump that builds up to 90psi
A pressure control switch that opens at 5psi and closes at 20psi ( still too high)
A pressure chamber that the sensor and a pump are connected to
Also for the outlet there will be a fine tune pressure regulator valve

Ya. I agree. These disposable wanna crack around 15psi. Some do some dont.

So u need something u can keep at a certain psi perm
 
Basically I have came to the conclusion that 5psi is sufficient on a .22 filter and 10 being max as I have cracked at 15psi. The pressure chamber will be at 20psi and the regulated anywheres between 0-20psi max also I'm going to add the ability to pump multiple filters at once the pressure chamber can also go to whatever so my eliminate the the switch and just use the 90

What's your guys take on these vials. The one to the right is the ones I've been using and the other is ones I bought 200 of them cause they were supposed to be the same size or at least looked that way but my reason for switching was cause the new ones are stronger but kinda look like mini milk bottles

ones to the left are molded... ehhh.... not my cup of whatever... tea.. beer lol.... I just use 20mm head space 25x45 or 23x45 or x46 bevel edge round or flat bottom up to you...
 
I've been using the 10ml shorty. But can barely fit 10ml in them. Over filled one just by a lil and blew the bottom off the vial trying to crimp on the flip top. Scared the shit outta me.

I like the little fat ones too I thought they were both the same just one molded but way off I think you could squeeze about 15-17 ml in that thing I filled one to 10ml and looked depressing
 
yea thats whats fucked about them though, but its nice because theres literally like no fuckin air in them once capped which I dont know i'd like to think would only be a positive thing, but also I just like them looking rimmed to the max haha... but yea was that the 23x45 or? 25x45 I believe if im not mistaken leaves you a little room at the top if you fill exactly to 10, I just top em off still.... pretty sure they end up at 11.25 or somewhere along those lines....

Btw I see where your going with that, yea you could build yourself a little 12v vacuum pump with a solenoid, sounds more like a desiccator though not certain though what you have in mind though I could be confused
 
I personally like the 20ml Presealed from gpz. I need to find out which ones those are so i can get the unsealed ones.

Bought a new hand pump and figured out my old expensive one was a leaky piece of shit lol was tuff to pump and psi from 12 to 0 in 2 mins but on the bright side my forearms grow like crazy

But I am going to make 4 mason jars to make some vacuum pressure chambers so all I gotta do is pump them all (connected) up to 12psis and walk away should do about 200-300 ml

When referring to psi...vacuum is usually measure in mmHg or inHg not psi.., I think you're going to high on the gauge of you're cracking them like that..

A safe bet is no more than 4 inHg on all plastic unit. It may take longer but it's the best way.

Electric vac pumps can be had real cheap, if you get one with two outlets then you can regulate vacuum by adding your own tap on one of the outlets, and then fit a guage between your flex hose
 
Yes you can cause cracks by hitting the handle too much. U kinda gotta watch it and get a feel for what that filter can handle. Until you can go to a pump. One thing I do before filtering to help stop the bottom from flexing too much pressure. I tape the bottom really well. With a 3mil packing tape. Helps toughin up the bottom.
But too much vaccum on the disposables is key. Gotta be careful.

Which is why I want to go to media bottles with just the disposable filter top. And an electric pump.
 
I won't even tell you guys the the total number of cracked bottles was tonight it's just that bad I will say though I got rid of about 1/4 of them ugly ass milk jugs though (vials)

No product lost i was pumping every time they cracked and it was a not big enough for anything to come out but just enough for little air bubbles like when you pull back on a syringe too hard my , probably lost 10ml or so but that's it

I've been using the Millipore pdf bottle top units. They seem to be fairly decent for a throw away unit. I haven't had any crack on my yet but I don't go above 10 psi. Can also filter a good amount through 1 unit for you have to trash it.

Although I might have to start making higher quantities.

I do at most 500ml at a time on some things 250 on others and shit I get cleaned out so fast I don't have much stock so I'm constantly ordering something.
 
As soon as I seen it crack I switched bottoms (I just order 2 cases) so yeah the number was 4 if anyone was wondering how "good" my new hand pump works

BTW The filter membranes are very expensive guys... for filtering injectables you'll only want to use name brand I cannot stress that more, for packs of 100 they can run anywhere for $200-400, or keep an eye out on ebay. Keep in mind the filters must be autoclaved prior to use, ideally you autoclave the filter either clamped into position in the buchner, where youd pretty much remove it from the clave, and boom straight to filtering, or you place them in individual little sterilization pouches and clave them. when ready to filter, take your forceps, remove the filter placing it in position, clamp, good to go. OR buying pre-sterile filters.

THE CHEAPEST brand you should consider would be Tisch which are legit i've used them as well, found :http://store.tischinternational.com/47mm-ptfe-membrane-filter/sf16013.html

MAIZE VALLEY filters are NOT suited for filtering our injectables lol....they are garbage, if they cost $50.... forget it. I called them to ask what temp. they were rated at so I could autoclave them to sterilize them, lol they told me they aren't suitable for autoclaving and I should consider another brand that are presterilized. I asked him so, your filters that are not sterile... arent meant to be sterilized? He replys, I cant comment on that any further and the mother fucker hangs up the phone.... almost crushed my god dam phone because of that asshole...
there made for high school lab classes as bull shit like that...

Yea you really need to sit down and map it out, in the end, having to constantly purchase the small amounts of each item will cost sooo much more, if you know your in it to win it, make the investments now... buying the gallons of each and a different means or more suitable means of filtration... say you pay $200 for 100 filter membranes... you got 100 filtrations ahead of you lol, whats it cost for the dozen of those bottle tops.. $120? 12 filtrations... fuck that shit...
 
The millipore are about $15 each. But I think they give u a break on 12 but ya probly more than $120.

Ya I'll probly switch it. Its a pain having to always order then again I make 500ml of something and I think oh nice I'm stocked up. Ya no that shit is gone in a week or two. Lol. Time to brew bigger

Also had two back surgery so broke my rt leg Tibet fib blew knee trough the skin now I RSD a disease that causes sever pain an no cure for spend 6 moths out in clevland clinic there awsome they Said I'd never wal again two years later I'm on the moe but it's pain full just gott push it at the gym one day on one day off I can't go everyday my body won't let me also don't wa anymore injurysthats my life in a nut shell

Maybe I missed it but you haven't been made fun of the bottom line is the things that we discuss here are illegal and none of us know you for the most part the rest of us know each other pretty well we don't all like each other and we don't all get along but we have all been tested and we need to test you as well with that being said you can expect to be poked at once we know you it's like a bunch of guys you work with busting your balls it let's you know you're accepted if your skin is too thin to handle that then Internet forums aren't the place for you hopefully you are who you say you are and you stick around long enough to learn a lot and make some friends then hopefully you stick around and help to teach newcomers but trust and respect are earned not given

Well said I'm pretty new here as well and if you haven't read through the entire thread or at least most of this one go back and do that you'll learn a lot about everyone. Also side note I had to get a lil spanking too at first. If I came off as a dick I apologize I was just saying like bob stated the things discussed are illegal it's not like we're taking Pokemon cards. All you gotta do is not come off so strong where's the foreplay?

I have a 05 Road King Custom and an 04 GSXR 1000 my GSXR is in parts due to a buddy trashing it when he was hammered anyway I'm playing with the idea of stretching it throwing some boost at it and building a drag bike maybe we should start a new thread I know someone tried it a while back but it might be a good idea to start a new one we will most likely get to know you much better that way besides the lounge is for guys that are somewhat experienced with gear and either want to start home brewing or are already brewing and want to compare notes or ask brew specific questions

you all make me feel inferior I got one of those fuel effeciant 49cc but got noted to be 100cc haha. but it gets me a. to. b. but would love to have a street bike no crotch rockets looks uncomfortable. honestly I know it looks funny a 5-6 220 lb lean bodybuilder on a scooter but lost license tell I pay bill. so have a laugh hood morning brewing brothers

I used to have a small 49cc scooter it was one of the earlier ones without any fancy plastic or a seat it was basically a razor with a chainsaw motor strapped on anyway it lasted a few weeks of hard abuse it finally met it's fate one night when I got hammered and took it off a small jump that I built it snapped in half and for some reason the motor was toast afterwards
