Cardio day! Leaving tomorrow morning for Salt Lake, coming back on Sunday.
I will be taking tomorrow off because I will be sitting in a car for 7 to 8 hours.
Will have my youngest son and granddaughter with me.
We are going to spend a bit of time with my dad and stepmom and brother and sister in law and allllll the kids!
This will be fun.

I will get an easy whole body lift done on Saturday at the PF

Eating properly will be a challenge. I am thinking about packing a small cooler with portions made up.
HARDCORE!!

I will be logging tomorrow anyways, I will probably do some cardio in the AM before we leave

I will be back in the gym tomorrow morning. I am ready to go and GET SUM!! Lets fucking go!!
Managed to watch my calorie intake while gone and did well!! It was hard. I went to Salt Lake for a home coming celebration for my oldest niece and everyday there was food and drink and more food and more drink snd then for good measure…there was more!!

This fast trip to Salt Lake wore me out!! Going to get a good night sleep, better than last night for sure. I will get up early and go in for some good morning cardio and a leg routine.
I think i am going to concentrate on hammy’s and glutes. Tiny bit of quads, some forearms and box crunches and planks. Oh my that sounds like a goood workout.

i am a bit torn, these last couple of days of not lifting have been a bit eye opening. I was lifting 3 days on, 1 day just cardio, 1 day off.
It seems that I get better fat loss and muscle growth with 2 days off following the cardio day. It feels really good when I hit the gym after those 2 days.
I have been on team “No days off” 6 on 1 off or 3 on, cardio and 1 off for so long, get burnt then recover and start over again then deload cause I fried myself.
I like the 2 days off following 4 days.
Thoughts please?

i would take 2-3 days off and rest to get your mind back before you hit hard :D

This fast trip to Salt Lake wore me out!! Going to get a good night sleep, better than last night for sure. I will get up early and go in for some good morning cardio and a leg routine.
I think i am going to concentrate on hammy’s and glutes. Tiny bit of quads, some forearms and box crunches and planks. Oh my that sounds like a goood workout.

i am a bit torn, these last couple of days of not lifting have been a bit eye opening. I was lifting 3 days on, 1 day just cardio, 1 day off.
It seems that I get better fat loss and muscle growth with 2 days off following the cardio day. It feels really good when I hit the gym after those 2 days.
I have been on team “No days off” 6 on 1 off or 3 on, cardio and 1 off for so long, get burnt then recover and start over again then deload cause I fried myself.
I like the 2 days off following 4 days.
Thoughts please?

Listen to your body, and what you see in pictures. I say that because I can't see anything in a mirror but the same person. So look at it objectively. You feel good perform good.

Somehow I totally missed this post!

Recovery is a huge aspect man - arguably the largest factor in overall gains ! And if you feel better with two days off in a row - its something you should strongly consider. As @James Creeper mentioned - listen to your body. I have been doing a lot of that lately and making little tweaks based of body cues.

I also like having two days off, but to keep consistent with my work schedule and overall goals, I kinda have to run my current split. I don't feel run down on it yet - but if I ever get to the point where I feel its counter productive to run the split I am - then I will redo it without hesitation. If you feel like the split has peaked out - redo it! Thats the beauty of this - you can change it up if its not working!

I agree with the rest, until this point, I have been Team Go Go Go get rest when you can’t move. I have to start healing more!!
