my dad is using some magnesium, seems like it says magnesium citrate; thinking of trying the magnesium will it help with workout recovery?

While it will be beneficial for your health and recovery after working out, the effects won't be all that noticeable, since magnesium works best when it is stacked with other minerals. The N2Joints suggested above is really an awesome supplement, and it has magnesium in it.

Magnesium is a very important mineral, but I would take it in conjunction with calcium and vitamin D. You could either use N2joint RX from n2bm.com or a cal/mag with vitamin D supplement.

Calcium and magnesium are two extremely important minerals involved in muscle contraction and central nervous system function. Calcium is actually the most abundant mineral in the human body.
