Children and vitamins

i think it is assinine to let kids dictate their diets.. why is it that parents keep 1 month of crap food in the freezer and pantry? its all ice cream, snacks, cereal, and other processed junk

teach your kids to eat healthy and only keep healthy food in the house.. yeah let them have a treat when you go out here and there, maybe some ice cream or something like that.. but parents are fucking lazy, they would rather just take their kids to mcdonalds

If you make healthy foods 'kid friendly' they will eat them.

No kid is going to wash a bell pepper and cut it into strips. However if you cut it up for them and give it to them on a dinner plate, they will eat it.

Same with eggs. Hard boil an egg and peel it and the kid will eat it. No kid is going to pan fry some eggs themselves

I totally agree with Steve and Trevor here! Kids know only what theyre taught. If they're taught they can be selective they will be. It's in their best interest to break that habit now rather than later. Its in their best interest to teach balance, moderation, healthy food choices, etc. It can be very confusing for them because they are told things at school, at least here in the USA, that are highly inaccurate. Hell, food can be a challenge for many adults!! I also completely disagree with 1) rewarding kids constantly with food/treats and 2) making kids finish the food on their plate. A treat here and there is fine, and fun, but it shouldn't be/doesnt need to always be a sugary crappy treat (sometimes is perfectly fine). And forcing kids to eat what is on their plate teaches them not to listen to their bodies but rather to finish what's in front of them regardless. We've made some big changes in our diets - I have a meal plan that fits my needs, my wife has one for her needs and our kids have a separate meal plan that fits them. It's a lot of work but its worth it. And what were seeing are our kids making much better choices now - asking for veggies more, picking fruit over junk, etc. Its great!!
