I'm taking dextrose with my whey protein daily but wanted to mix it with my oats, would the heat kill the dextrose by chance?

Either take them separately, or cool down the oats before mixing them together with dextrose.

I don't understand why would you do this. guys who do that are taking insulin and need the extra dex. are you doing that? if not then you don't need dex
I agree with Steve here. I have ran slin several times and even then, I don't take that much. Just enough to get by. I don't understand why people over do it like this. there is no need. Carbohydrates for one are not essential to your diet. It sucks not having them but if you have will power you can certainly do just fine without.

Dextrose is a fast absorbing sugar. Smarties are dextrose and I eat one or two before a workout. But in a meal? Not sure why unless insulin related. Otherwise get a sugar spike.

Absolutely not. Dextrose is a simple sugar. Table sugar (sucrose) is a disaccharide of glucose + fructose. Heating it won't effect the sugar molecule. It takes very high heat (300 degrees celcius+) to change the molecular structure of sugar.

Mixing dextrose into your warm oats would be the equivalent of mixing sugar into a hot cup of coffee. Not an issue at all

What is your reason for wanting to mix dextrose into your oatmeal?
There are much better options in my opinion...things like blueberries or a banana
