What's the good word peeps? Hope the gains are plentiful!

Popped my cherry tonight!! Pinning the ass cheek is ackward but I'm sure it'll get easier in time.

Ive heard the quad is easier for obvious reasons.... Anything to look out for or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well done bro!! It gets easier as you get more relaxed with it. Popped my arse cherry about a 5 weeks ago :cool:... my advice would be to get some Ibuprofen for the crazy virgin muscle PIP. Only thing that would help for me. You'll most likely be glad you didn't do quads if it's as bad as mine was (not trying to make you worry or anything lol)
 
Aww you guys are blossoming into men! :) congrats. I guess my advice would be expected a Little soreness from first . Don't worry, eventually you don't even feel it.

Honestly I hate quad. I always hit like a nerve or something and my leg jerks with a pin in.

I've found Ventro Glute to be the best so far. Don't have to twist so much and easier to see what your doing. I usually use a mirror doing Dorso Glute to make sure I'm in the right area. Didn't use it last night, figured I had it sussed, went to high and hit a nerve. Didn't really hurt but made my butt cheek twitch. Mrs was in bed watching and started pissing herself laughing, said it looked like I was trying to do a "one cheek twerk" lol

I hate quads too lol . Leg starts twitching hitting a nerve. And its painful going in. But in time youll get used to it. Havent tried glutes yet but will try this week since my shoulders grew crazy i cant even pin because it gets in the way lol

I mean to say my upper chest grew quick and i got them short asian arms lol so its hard to get a good pin. I will try to hit glutes this week. Just scared of hitting that sciatica nerve.

Glutes are very easy and . Your not going hit it if your even remotely close to the right area. You'll be fine
 
I stay away from quads as well. Like NY said it seems like everytime I hit a nerve and you muscle jumps.. then I can't walk for 3 day. Put me on crutches once! Glute backarms and delta for me. I have short arms and broad shoulders so I can't reach it either. That's where my wife comes in handy
 
Im glad this came up, ive been wondering myself. Glutes seemed the easiest and pretty much safer bet thatd make me tweak out a bit less . Had an issue getting my dbol to go with my test ( proof read your address REALLY good), so i havent started yet, and im gone 3 weeks a month so, its a month by month wait lol.

And i guess since Test E is only twice a week i can generally just switch between each glute and not worry much about building a scarred area eh?

Ya my shoulders are wide as hell. Went and got fitted for a tux and the tailor asked me how many shirts I had on under my hoodie because of how wide they are....

Anyway I'll try with a mirror Thursday or maybe hit the quad once and see how that goes.
 
I'm the complete opposite here.

I started with quads and have yet to pin my glutes. Once you find that sweet spot in your quads it's so easy. I love having both hands to work with and being able to look straight ahead. I've had pins that went in like butter and didn't feel a thing and also pins that weren't quite as smooth.

Thinking of popping my glute cherry tonight. Either glute or VG. Would love to get a good VG shot in as I've read great things about it.

If you do decide to try quads, try doing it slowly. The smoothest pin I've done so far is when I went super slow. Didn't feel a thing.

Do it fast and make sure your leg is straight as can be, like on a table or in a corner or something. Don't wiggle it (obviously) because yeah your leg can twitch. I always go pinky finger on knee to thumb stretched as high as I can get it on quad, and to the outside of quad not top. I've never had a problem, but I did hit a nerve once (ouch).

Massage and stretching are necessary for me afterwards.

Stick with just glutes as an injection site for your first cycle. It's the easiest site to pin. Remember to rotate butt cheeks!

For your second cycle, you can rotate in quad and deltoid injection sites.
 
Congrats about your first pin - it was a special moment for every member here. After doing the injection put something warm on the injection site, so that the Pip will be greatly reduced on the next day.

As long as you give the same spot at least 1 week between injections you're good. So if you're doing just glutes and doing 2 shots a week rotating left and right sides is okay.

I don't like quads either, a few times I got an electric shock feeling and twitch. Glutes are no bueno, my lat locks up everytime. I pretty much just pin delts and biceps. I pin up to 3cc's in each delt twice a week depending on what cycle and compound I'm running.

quad is one my least fav places to pin. i would rather pin glutes. look into deltsn while you cant shoot tons of oil in them at once, its the easiest place to pin by far imo
 
really? I'm def going to try delts, would it work with a 1.5"? IT seems like it would be akward reaching across to pin though

You can use a 1½" pin, but I wouldn't sink it in. Go like 1" max. The delt is a pretty small muscle. Most guys even use a ⅝" pin. You can clip your needle cap to ½" and slide it back over so when you push the pin in it only goes 1".

So I pinned the upper right of the quad. I have a good chunk of muscle on the tops of my quads.... It was like a hot knife in warm butter! Soooo smooooth! I think I'm in love! LoL

Bro it's up to you man but it was smooth.... pulled the skin tight and just got after it. I'll probably stick with it as long as they keep going like that.

Quads for days haha ... You get use to it .. Stand up contract muscle and look for the side quad and then sit down a d there you go
 
I find this a bit humorous, I was once there too but at this point in my life I don't even think about it of for that matter really look to where I am pinning. I've pinned my delts for so long it just happens without any thought. Again I know we were all there once, but as time passes and techniques get better you will find the humor In this too.

I am in no way making lite of the op thread as it is legit, but like I said as time passes it will almost be second nature... just give it time

I never pin glute anymore unless I absolutely have to for rotation purpose.... prefer quad and delt. Glute... bitchy. LOL

quad is always my go to. quick and painless. use a 1.5' 25g pin and heat the oil before pushing it in
 
Did my first pin today. I used a 23g 1.5 pin in the ass. It only hurt breaking through the skin. Once in, didnt feel nothing. I did have some trouble getting the test c in the pin. I had two amps of 250mg and didnt want to shoot two pins. Had trouble loading pin with both amps.

Pull with 18, push with 22
Don't push the pin in gently, stab it like a dart. This may not make sense to you now but if you do this enough it will be perfectly clear

In my experience which is only three pins now but the quicker you put the pin in the less it hurts. But im pulling with a 22 and pinning with a 25g.
 
Here's some great information regarding PIP:

What causes (non infection related) injection pain?

first the shorter the ester, the higher the melting point
second, the concentration of the gear.
third, the solvents used.
fourth, injecting too quickly
fifth, virgin muscle.

Pain is caused when the oil/solvents are absorbed by the body and crystals are left behind.
Short esters (propionate or acetate) are harder, more painful crystals with melting points in the 100c range.
A hormone with a longer esters (excluding cypionate - cyp is long but also high melting point) can have a melting point in the 20c-40c range. not far off from human body temp.

Pain is also caused by concentration of your gear.
Building off of point 1: Let's say it takes the body 24 hours to absorb 1mL of a certain oil/solvent blend, and 24 hours to absorb 50mg of Testosterone Propionate. If 50mg (or less) of testosterone propionate is in 1mL of that oil, this injection should be painless. On the other hand, if 100mg of testosterone propionate is in that same 1mL of solution, then after 24 hours the body will have absorbed 50mg and 1mL, leaving 50mg behind in the injection area, crystalized and painful.
Its better to shoot 3mL of 50mg/mL Testosterone Propionate than 1mL of 150mg/mL Testosterone Propionate.
This is also why water based suspensions (Testosterone base/no ester, Winstrol ) hurt the most, water is very easily absorbed in the body

The solvents used can cause pain in 2 ways. Benzyl alcohol (BA) is used at 1%-2% as a preservative and antiseptic. If the alcohol content is too high the gear will burn. Pain in the first 24 hours is usually caused by heavy solvents, pain in the next few hours is usually cause by crystalization. Another way is a bad recipe. if someone used 2% BA, and the rest of the solution oil, the mg/mL would have to be low due to oil's weak ability to hold crystals. On the other hand, a recipe like 2% BA, 5% Guaiacol (super solvent), 10% Benzyl Salicylate (liquid asprin) with the filler split 50:50 between Ethyl Oleate (oil/solvent hybrid) and normal oil should be far less painful.

If you inject too quickly it can tear tissue.

If your muscle is new to the hormone, it will absorb the hormone very slowly, but absorb the oil/solvent very quickly. This will cause more crystalization and pain. As your muscles recognize the hormones, they will be absorbed more quickly, thus less pain. The deeper you inject into the center of a muscle group, the better.

How do I prevent pain before I inject?

Cut your shots 50:50 with sterile filtered oil. If you want to use 50mg of Testosterone Propionate, and you have 100mg/mL Testosterone Propionate- pull 0.5mL of your test prop, and 0.5mL of sterile filtered oil to shoot 1mL of 50mg/mL Testosterone Propionate. This is the #1 best way.
Dont bother with b-12, its water based- absorbed so quickly it will have little to no impact.

Before you shoot, it can help to warm your gear some (especially suspensions). You could put the vial in the bathroom sink and let hot water run over the vial for 2 minutes, and shake well. This will lower the oils viscosity also making it easier it pull into the syringe.

Inject slowly, take 30 seconds per mL. Use a 25g pin to inject so it forces you to move slowly.

If none of these work you could have dirty gear. Its possible there could be particles (although bacteriostatic) in the gear that are not causing infection, but still cause in site infection that made it through a filter.

How do I deal with pain once I have it?

The worst thing you can do is ice it. Cold will help the crystals fall out of solution/suspension.
Its okay to take some ibuprofin to decrease the swelling, and help with pain.
Also being in a hot tub, or jacuzzi, or warm bubble bath will help melt the crystals down. Using a heating pad can help also.

Anytime you first inject into a virgin muscle it's going to get PIP. Just be thankful you were just using enanthate instead of prop. It'll go away in a day or two. Keep it loose by walking around and massaging it. The more you stay still the more it will tense up and hurt.

Good news is it won't be as bad the next time. 😉

i was quad only. found a video or nerve map somewhere online. the nerve is completely avoidable.
If you find the "happy place" on your quad...leave a mark in ink for the next week (just refresh it after a shower). I have freckles on my quad...so I mapped the spot like an astronomy map, lol.
 
I actually grab a hold of my quad (vastus lateralis) and pinch when I inject there...I have fairly big quads too so pinning there has never been a problem for me
