Newbie How to open ampules?

Got my package today and some people say use a pen cap and pop it off, or use my fingers. What is the best way?

I've always used my bare hands with a tissue folded against my thumbs. Snap the amp away from me like you're breaking a twig by pushing gently with thumbs. Amp should have a dot in the neck. This is where it is scored and will snap. Face dot away from you and break at dot.

I always use a small razor blade to score it a little first. Then they snap off easily.

I always opened them with a paper towel around the amp so I could get cut. Most amps are made so they open easily though.

Anything that will score the glass. I used to use a small file to mark the glass. And use a paper towel. I have put my thumb into one. What a bloody mess.lol.
