On gear support/supplements

Hey everyone

Just putting the feelers out for what support everyone is using whilst on cycle.

Meaning what supplements and tablets we are all running.

Personally I’m on tudca and milk thistle only but looking to see if I should be adding anything else as I have introduced anadrol 50 into my new cycle.

Thanks everyone
Jacks

Supps/vitamins etc - when on gear the body needs a much higher amount of micronutrients.

Reason:
Take peds -> system stress goes up -> receptor activity goes up.

When system stress and receptor activity increase. The body needs more vitamins and minerals to compensate and balance out the imbalances.

So on cycle. Increase your vitamin and mineral intake with diet and or supplements (most won't be getting all they need via diet on cycle).

This may include: simple multivitamin, magnesium, zinc, calcium, b vitamins, vitamin d, c, k etc

I also use fish oil for lipids and inflammation control.

Milk thistle is meh. Research on it doesn't show it being very effective.

Nac and tudca, yes, these are great. With tudca you get the added benefit of optimising protein folding which helps hypertrophy overall.

For digestion - glutamine is king. It massively improves intestinal function. Always helps me push more cals on bulk. Very very very underrated supp.

For ancillaries, nothing is more important than controlling the upregulation of the raas that peds cause. Raas upregulation is the primary cause of damage of damage to the body when using gear. Raas upregulation cause oxidative stress and inflammation levels to increase in the body which slowly damages all tissues. It also increases BP.

Control the raas via an arb or ACE inhibitor. Telmisartan is the best option for this.

Soo you don’t think the milk thistle is needed for liver support at all?

Do you think the tudca is enough?

i use...

vitamin d, C, magnesium / zinc, metformin, chromium picinolate and telmisartan.

my last cycle was 250 test, 800 mast by the end and 50mg anadrol.

at no point did my blood tests show i needed liver support so i never ran it.

Clients and myself including are using multi vitamin if diet is restricted during fat loss phase otherwise they eat properly covering most bases. Telmisartan, metformin, insulin (yes its a prophylactic in our world of pushing food), berberine, tudca depending on individuals blood work, glutamine, injectable L carnitine, meldonium is on the table at times, creatine.

Ive noticed the regular mention of Telmisartan for BP, my doctor prescribed me Irbesartan which is working great as its an ARB as well. Was wondering why Telmisartan is the the choice for PED users. Ive even come across Losartan and have tried to research any significant differences between the 3 but am still none the wiser.

Pretty sure Irbesartan is just stronger at controlling BP than telmisartan meaning it’s sole purpose is BP. Telmisartan is usually the 1st prescribed drug and based on its effectiveness you go from there. It’s also very cheap which makes it attractive. Telmisartan also has other effects such as reducing / preventing any LVH from occurring or progressing.

It's half life, it's a ppar, myostatin inhibitor potentially, reduces oxidative stress and a few more things. But there are probably better choices for hypertension treatment

you can get telmisartan script from medmate.com.au

its where a lot of us get it from
Yeah no worries but I could probably just ask my doctor for it when i go back to him. I was only seeing him for a certificate for a sickie for work and he checked my blood pressure and it was up. He was like are you taking testosterone and are you going to stop? Said to take the Ibesartan and come back in a month
