Ever since (2months) I'v been working out again after an 6month break, I have this extreme pain in my chest en tris while benching. Kinda feels like the feeling in your arm when the doc takes your blood pressure, only very painfull I'm guessing it is some form of pump?

I'm not on anything. BP is normal.

What could be up?

Maybe take some anti-inflammatory (acetaminophen) next time and see if that helps..could be a viral thing causing some inflammation. Maybe see what a doctor says.

Hope you have a quick recovery bro

hard to guess based on what you are describing.. you are saying 'kinda like a pump' well is it a pump or not? cramp? gotta be more specific.

and you say 'while I am benching' .. what does that mean? during your set? when you extend? when you come down?

during a set... feels like a pump yes... kinda like a shin pump. everything is swollen too, but that's not unnormal I guess. I 'm guessing some kind of heavy water retention or increased blood flow.

pain killers don't help a thing.

Is it possible that it's that neuromuscular feel that you get when you have been away from training with weights? You can describe that as a pump, but in a different way! Kinda like you body is saying dude this is heavy for me, and it gives you that feeling to make you slow down!
Just my .02 !!!!!!

Don't take pain killers anyway that's not helping anything as you already know. It's probably a pump considering it happens when you do chest which is a tricep/chest exercise. Taking any OTC supps?

I'd like to know your diet. Even if you're not taking any PEDs, tuarine can help. What are your electrolytes like. The funny thing is, a lot of people I went to college with came out of exercise physiology and stated "It was so hard I don't remember much but I know gatorade is grate during a workout." BCAAs are as well. BCAAs prevent central fatigue, gatorade keeps your blood glucose at optimum level.

when you workout you are supposed to feel pain from the lactic acid building up. now in your case seems like you have much more of a problem with it where you are getting swelling.. there is a chance its some sort of water retention. might have to go to a doc and get some diuretics to get rid of that.

but again its impossible to disagnose what is wrong with you over the internet without pics and a specific explanation of what is happening cause sounds like you don't know either

i'm assuming it goes away after you are done or not?

I'm doing this today at the gym.

I'm kinda thinking towards Thoracic Outlet Syndrome although diagnosis isn't that easy. I'm trying to do some exercises for it and my chiro is going to look in to it. Fingers crossed.
