What type of firearms?
 
I am - own two AR 15s, two glocks, and looking to add some more soon (couple thoughts in mind).

The range I go to has honestly almost any type of firearm for rent, so I don't feel the need to purchase much right now.

You?
 
Nice - I need to take some pics of mine to show you as well. I'll attach the very first one I took when I got my most recent AR - a Colt LE6920MP-B. It has an aimpoint T-1 on it right now, couple other additions like a Magpul BAD lever, nothing crazy though. My other AR is a Spikes Tactical, first one I purchased, great for the money to be honest. I have a G19 Gen 3 and recently added a G23 Gen 4. Both with night sights added to them.

I grew up shooting with my grandfather, hunting every so often. That's where I'm focusing my next purchases - hunting related.

A .40 cal Taurus (3 1/2" barrel, great for concealing), an old school 30/30 lever action marlin, and a few modded AR's

Ar-15 (m4 patrolman), ak-47, Hk USP 9mm compact, several shot guns, multiple other hand guns, grenade launcher,.... There's a long list.
 
I love firearms, been hunting and shooting since I was a little kid. Have a few glocks (36 and 20) and a few shotguns that I use to hunt small game and whitetails. I had a colt AR but when the damn market went crazy and they were hard to get I sold it for double what I paid for it, still need to pick up another one (probably get a sig, they make a sweet AR). I also love to bowhunt, I shoot a mathews monster....fast and deadly.

I used to own a colt also. The fore grip was to bulky for my liking. I had a Olympic Arms, and a rock river that I felt the same about them all. So I sold them as fast as I bought them, but with a couple extra bucks in my pocket in the end. I think I got the Olympic arms for like $450. The colt for $500 and the the rock river for $500. I stuck with my modded Bushmaster :)

I know a lot of guys like the bushmasters, never owned one. I am contemplating going with some bigger than 5.56 in my next one maybe .308. Still undecided at the moment.

I had a chance to by a 50cal rifle for $3200. I should of. Lol

I've also always wanted to get a Socom 2 but it was always to much on the higher end of the value... Plus you can't buy a rifle with fixed rails and not spend $1200 in acc to cleanly fill them in. I was always thinking rail grips, Acog scope with quick disconnect mount to swap in a night vision scope, and always wondered how a laser dot would do on one of those for closer quarter battle.

What kind of .50? A Barrett? I shot them, lots of fun...no ranges around me are near long enough to utilize anything like that (shirty part of being a civilian again lol).

Yeah the accessories when buying quality stuff can easily cost more than your firearm. Got a buddy that shoots long range tournaments, his scopes are like 4 times the cost of the stock rifles (of course they are modded and not stock but you get the point).

No not a Barret (I believe). If it had been in would of grabbed it in a minute. Waked out with it in 25 minutes. Lol but this was like 10 years ago.

I used to be on my companies rifle match team. All stock everything with iron site comps. What a drag that was when u train with aim points and acogs and long range sniper scopes all the time.

I'm not huge in modding the barrels. My bush master was great as was. Everything else was upgraded but the receiver thou. Lol

Glock 17 is a very nice choice, I would like a 35 someday...same thing as a 17 basically just a bit longer barrel and ported slide.

That is a great choice for ccw, if you like .45 check out the 30....about the same size as a 19 (little thicker obviously) but packs more punch. I have a 36 for ccw and wish I would have got a 30 instead because the 36 is only 6+1 capacity.

I prefer Hk and sigs over almost everything else. Of course the price is double almost anything else. But so worth it. I hate the 2x4 feel of the glock hand grip. The ergonomics just don't fit my hand well.

The walther p22 which I have owned many of, is an amazing grip. Small, light, 13 rounds and very very easy to work with.
 
But the glock is so lite and reliable , it's hard to beat . I forgot about this little one , she goes everywhere ,

For CCW the PT145 millenium is hell on wheels. 10 rounds of .45 loving, accurate as hell to 15 yards, super easy to conceal.

For me ot was between the xd and hk. They both felt like they were making love to my hand but the xdm came stock with a 5.25" barrel... Much better for reducing climb
 
Oh, oh, oh me!! Glock 10, Beretta 380 Cheetah, Beretta 22 bobcat, Core AR15, Assault 12ga, Couple S&W 38's, and 357's, 25 auto, few magnum rifles, few short magnum rifles, and on and on... I LOVE MY GUNS!!!!

The XDM 5.25 is a sweet pistol out of the box, check out Dawson Precision for mods when you are ready.

Honestly, Montana Bear aren't the biggest, or the most abundant. I would recommend the lake states area, or BC. I did get my first and only bear, archery, elk hunting last year. He was a big one at 300 lbs. Our forte are lion, deer, and elk.

1st thing i noticed. I have thrown in 2 lips in the last few years. When I was in college in a frat.. We had a night where you had to do a double horseshoe... We were a southern gentleman's frat so most of us dipped.

Thank bro. The one with the AR was my cat a few years back. The one on the truck we guided a client on this year. It was eating that elk, we treed him 100 yards from the elk. It was 23 below that day. He went mid 150's. Big ol cat!!

It's like buying a Honda or a Mercedes. Yes the Mercedes cost more but you have a much more quality car.

Totally agree, my STI 2011 still go's bang just as much as my G-19. I still like to keep something around I can work on and/or fix. Love my 2nd amendment!!! TX
 
I would quit dipping tomorrow but that stuff has hooks like an eagle claw. I quit smoking by sitting down and inhaling 2 packs without pause. Never could look at a cig the same way after that. Dip is just too easy, I don't have to go outside, nobody complains about the smell...
I hate it.
 
Good luck it's a hard bad habit to kick. Copenhagen long cut was my flavor. Farm boy thing, glad I quite, but every now and then a good fat dip while on a rig make the day go. Been 6 years now.
 
All my guns r 4 hunting. Have shots guns and high power rifles. My bow is my 1st weapon of choice tho!

Agreed! And when voting, KNOW the democrats are the party of oppression. They've been that since they supported slavery of the blacks, and today, haven't changed on ioda. They want to tell YOU what you can/can't do, while they do whatever the F*** they want to do... Best thing IMO, is buy guns, ammunition, and vote ANYTHING but democrat, as they're true Nazis.

I agree 100% on that, trying to take our rights away one at a time. They want to start with the 2nd Amendment and then they will keep on going. Pisses me off, hopefully the rest of this country wakes up and realizes this.

I have learned a thing or two over the years , and that's do not ! ever believe the first news that comes out , give it a week or so and then you might get a fact or two . It's all about Breaking News , we got the story first !

Like this last Fort hood shooting , let's ask the real questions like " what kind of pharmaceuticals , anti depressants , was he on and what are the side effects of this drug . How bout , do any of the other mass shooting have anything in common with the drugs they were on ? Answer yes ! Now is the drugs the problem or the guns ? Answer , drugs !

Where I live I'll say, we're a heavily armed state, and violent crime is actually going down... I do see a time when obummer pulls his pen out and destroys the second amendment. VERY scary times we live in! And I have no idea why this guy hasn't been impeached!!?!??!!

Definitely very sad. The right are now wrong and those who would have been considered wrong by traditional moral standards are now in the right. Nothing is based off merit.... It's all social justice and corporate fascism. I can only imagine what my grandpop would think if he were alive today.

It's my other pastime. I have a number of firearms, ar15, a couple ak47's, remington 700 tactical, and a number of pistols. I just got into reloading . Saving some bucks there.

Sad thing is they are already using Ft Hood to call for "more gun control". Here's a thought- is there a particular reason we make a base full of people who deploy with weapons all the time a gun free zone? I mean, seriously, why isn't everyone who is qualified and fit to carry, carrying? We essentially deny protectors of our freedoms the inherent right to self defense while the elected dipshits pat themselves on the backs and claim we have safe military bases.
Mark my words, fellas- they want so called "universal background checks"- or so they say. What they're after is universal gun registration. And any student of history knows what comes next. Read up on how England got sheepled into handing over their guns. Propaganda, and one step at a time, baby!
