Noticed the other day after pinning, leg started itching. Couple days later the other one. Both are quads. I pin Every three days. Symptoms started a couple days ago. The quads did get a little warm but mostly itchy. So I took some Zyrtec and the itchiness has gone down.

I was reusing my fill needles, but since this i have got more supply, and wont reuse again. I always wipe down real well with isopropyl alcohol

No more redness but still a little swelling. No fever, it doesn't hurt, think ill be ok?

Im new to pinning, so im a bit of a baby about pinning all over my body. What other locations should i consider?

Is my vial now compromised? Should I throw it out?

I'm guessing you're having a reaction to the carrier oil. You might want to ask your source what kind of oil base they use and avoid that type from now on.

why are you reusing needles? this is never a safe ideal..... not sure why people do this.

Even crack heads know better.

the fill needles never touch me or anything other than the vial. didn't think there was a risk.

I DO NOT reuse needles that I have injected with.

It looks to me that it is more of an issue with the carrier oil, rather than with the injections themselves. So I would try to find out about the oil they use - you might be allergic to it. If so, consider using gear from other suppliers.

Like LevButlerov said, carrier oil issue might be the problem.
Just ask the supplier What oil they are using?

Are you getting deep enough? The sub q gets itchy sometimes.

I don't think so. I looked at alot of intramuscular injecting last night and seen that I wasn't doing it right. i was pinning my quads but not like the articles suggested. i was pinning about 8 inches from my hip bone, and a little on the inside (closer to the groin). What i read on pinning glutes suggests to pin from the outside. Im learning alot about the injections. This is my 4th week, and I have not had any other problems. Hope its just my inexperience. My Gear was prescribed by dr. i think it said cotton seed oil ppwk that came with bottle.

After taking a couple benadryl and getting some sleep today I am not itchy at all. So at least im not getting worse.

Don't pin with the same needle you draw with . If you've been on 4 weeks and this is the first time it's not the carrier oil, just a sloppy pin most likely.. Just keep and eye on it and use proper sterilization methods, always

I agree with this completely. If you have been pinning for 4 weeks and are only now experiencing that itchy feeling - it isn't the carrier oil.

Don't ever re-use needles. You are risking a very serious infection.

Rotate your quad injection sites with glutes. Glutes are the easiest muscle to inject into and recommend as the site to start with for beginners.
