Meal Idea's

Alright guys I know this isn't exactly PED's talk but it's well & truly related as we all have to have our diets on par otherwise PED's are useless..

I need some help with coming up with some meal ideas, atm I'm running out of ideas of what to put together & it's c****ing my eating..

Ideally I'd love you guys to chime in with full recipes of what you guys put together so I can add them to my meal plan..

Example of what I've been eating so far (so you guys can understand a bit more what I'm looking for)

- 200g Chicken Breast, 350g Sweet Potato, 1/2 cup Green Beans.
Macros = P- 71g, C- 51g, F- 8g.

- 200g Chicken Breast, 250g Brown Rice, 1/2 cup Green Beans.
Macros = P- 70g, C- 64g, F- 9g

- 1 × 185g can of Tuna, 250g Pasta, 25g Cheese.
Macros = P- 55g, C- 71g, F- 12g

I'm boring...I just do chicken breast with brown rice and broccoli, halibut or cod with the same, and ground chicken or turkey with rice and a veg.
You've got much more will power than me haha.. I can't do rice anymore, lately I've been dumping the rice from the containers & eating rice cakes instead.. sweet potato is do-able but eventually gets real hard to swallow as well lol..
I definitely need more "go to" meals

I buy these premade rice chicken flavor when I am bored .. mixing it with steak and chicken it is very good still !

Honestly, my meals don't look much more exciting then yours: http://www.evolutionary.org/forums/...muskate-s-pre-contest-training-log-40720.html

Your best bet is to get creative with herbs and spices. They will add no additional calories to your meals, but add a nice taste and change of pace. Try adding curry powder to your chicken breast before baking it.
Try roasting your sweet potatoes with cocoa powder, cinnamon, and sea salt. It makes them taste like candy.

Also, the condiments hot sauce, soy sauce and mustard are all pretty much calorie free so you can add those to your meals to add flavour.

Post training I made a big bowl of oatmeal and mix in 2 scoops of protein powder. It tastes like those instant oatmeal packs I used to eat as a kid. Give that a try.

Actually that's a pretty solid idea! I bake the sweet potato whenever we have a roast but i havent done it with my prepped meals yet.. I'll have to give it a try! :)

Is oatmeal just oats? I used to have a cup of oats with a scoop of whey in the mornings but it became a pain for me with waiting for it to cool down (limited time I'm the mornings) so lately I've just been putting it in a shaker cup & drinking it lol.. takes a whole of 30 seconds :)

Meals are killing me atm so hard to get down at times..
Doesnt help that im hardly gaining on 3500cal so I've been throwing in 600ml milk + a scoop of whey at night time to get it up to 4000 so hopefully that brings me over the line..

Before posting this I was on the verge of bringing in a dirty bulk full of breads & creamy pastas so this thread should help me remotivate now knowing I'm not the only one going through the struggle.. just the only one about to bitch out haha

you can do a lot of cool stuff with fish.... here is a simple recipe

try using a large pan. put the fish fillets in.. add lemon, herbs, spices and pineapple juice. heat to a point where it starts popping, then go to low and let it simmer covered until the juices are about dry.

Oatmeal is just oats. Yes lol.

I also love white mushrooms - there is a bunch of good recipies with them, and they are almost pure protein with no carbs in it. So you might as well add them to your diet.
