Decent workout but I got off to a late start and the gym got crowded near the end.

Nice workout mate. 134kg squats and 110kg RDL'S is some big weights.
Pull-ups and chest supported rows is a pretty complete back workout as well.
Herbed baked chicken

Long grain wild rice

Brussels sprouts

Are you making fun of my pen and paper notebook? I get distracted too easily by my phone so the notebook keeps me honest. Plus I have a great tool to look back at from year to year and it’s not on some app. Honestly I can’t find an app that I like either… I write out my workout the night before and think about how I’m going to accomplish it as I’m going to bed
No. I literally do the same (I've even put up a pic way back in my log). I hate the apps. Plus seeing people stop training to tap away... urgh

But why did you ask? Don't make me start the podcast tomorrow by having you do 20 pressups ;)

On another note, I feel like an old man saying this but when you go to the gym, please clean up after yourself. I am always amazed at the amount of peoples junk they leave in the locker room that I use every single morning. It’s not my bathroom so I always try to leave it better than when I found it. I might be the only one that does this though….

The conditioning is looking outstanding. You are looking nice and lean. When you do the side angle picture, you can tell that your gut and belly are nice and flat now. @BigVelvetG
 
It’s almost unbelievable to me when I look at it. I’ve lived with that pooch for so many years and it’s hard to believe it’s gone. I’m sure I can get leaner, and I intend to over the next 3 weeks, but this feels like my new level that I never want to exceed again. I could stay here and be happy or I can get leaner and be happy but I can’t get fatter than this again at least not without a specific purpose and a timeline for getting back lean again. I refuse to be controlled by my environment anymore and I’ll do whatever I need to to rage against the dying of the light from here on out.
 
Did something a little different today. There were a ton of guys in my gym this morning I guess because they had the day off and they were taking up all the racks so I did incline dumbbell presses, weighted dips, and DB overhead presses before I did my heavy flat bench and honestly my shoulder hasn’t felt that good in a long time. I’m gonna try mixing it up again on Wednesday, but I think those other exercises warmed me up better than normal and I felt pretty good. This might be my new norm until my shoulder heals

@BigVelvetG back when I competed in power lifting, if I was trying to make weight and I lost three or four pounds going into the meet, I would definitely be weaker but I would also be stronger than the guys I was dropping into the weight class with. You've got to accept that you're going to lose strength if you lose body weight. That's just how it works.

Losing size / weight can mean losing leverage to lift.

@BigVelvetG back when I competed in power lifting, if I was trying to make weight and I lost three or four pounds going into the meet, I would definitely be weaker but I would also be stronger than the guys I was dropping into the weight class with. I got bloodwork done through rhythm health a few weeks ago and they messed up my sample so that was worthless. I just ordered labs through anabolic insights and got my blood drawn this morning. Hopefully that will be back in a few days.

  • I finished week 5 of the program I’m on and I think it’s time to move on. I think I’ll do a MWF lift program this week with an hour cardio on TTS.

Overall Mood & Motivation (1–10): 8.

Summary of the week:
  • The week started off strong with me realizing I could do some accessory work before my main lifts to really warm up my shoulder and I was still able to lift heavy.
  • I got my blood work back after some setbacks. Don’t try to use rythm health for blood work. It’s too fickle a system. You can use it for a quick checkup but don’t depend on it. I ended up using Anabolic Insights and I feel like I got a very comprehensive work up for about a hundred dollars. Check out my labs at the link above. I’ve got one more week of Anavar so I’m gonna pour everything I can into this week coming up. The plan is to leave nothing on the table.

I do a ton of cable light face pulls, IR/ER , scap pushups and spider walks before any chest day. It also helps to do a few incline dumbbell presses at a medium weight before I bench. I find that I need way more warm up at 48 than I did at 38

yeah that was my issue. once i got into my 30's i paid the price for not warming up right. could get away with it at 25 but not at 33

Here’s a question. I’m entering my cruise phase and getting my bloodwork under control for the next 8 weeks. Should I start a new log for my cruise going into the blast? Or should I just let my cruise hang on this last cycle the start a new log for my blast?

I would start a new log for the cruise :D @BigVelvetG
 
I also think a new log would be a better option — but please don’t give up the handwritten notes. They really look great and I think they give extra satisfaction.
I’ve tried so many other ways in the past and nothing works like the notebook! I hope it encourages others to keep a similar record. It ain’t going anywhere.

Does anyone here prescribe to a 3 day lifting routine? I did 8 weeks of it earlier this year and I felt pretty good but I didn’t know if it was really working for me other than letting me get 2-3 good cardio sessions in a week.

I generally lift 5 days a week but I never have time for more than one good cardio session a week consistently if I do that. Now that it’s warming up outside, I’ll probably start walking with a 40lbs weight vest more often.

So what do you think about a 3 day lifting routine schedule?
