Anabolic steroids help hyperthyroidism?

Hello, ive been on and off testosterone in my life, this time when I come off my TSH dumped down to 0.01 and my t4 and t3 where elevated. I am now on anti thyroid meds and betablockers to keep it at bay, ive lost a lot of size and back down to original weight prior to supplements, My question is, can anabolic steroids lower thyroid levels, Ive seen a lot that it can lower TBG and T4 levels??

I would like to get back on HRT as im losing everything... Even at low HRT doses will this be a possibility? or are my anabolic days done....

Any advice is appreciated.

Never seen that bro actually im hypo and my tsh is 3.4 i take synthroid everyday for it your tsh is almost gone yet t4 and t3 still high how high were they . anyway steroid effects if they did happen bro would generally be 3rd party induced through the pituitary because of other hormone imbalance but your pituitary is doing its job (low TSH) its saying slow down however your thyroid is still pumping out the hormones with no regard sounds over active too me . really need too see a h ood endocrinologist bro hyperthyroidism can be caused by. Worse problems like thyroid cancer and stuff get that checked . As far as TRT I doubt test has played any role in that

Ok thank's mate,

So my other question is if my T4 is 30 and my T3 is 12, if I do TRT would that be ok just to help keep some muscle on why my body is running hyper?? im just losing everything fast...

Trt should be fine and find out why your hyper dont put that off as far as keeping muscle with over active thyroid the answer is food lots of it keep upping the calories till you stop loosing weight shoot for a gram and a half protien and keep adding the carbs lots of white rice digests fast so you wont stay full and keep insulin up . if you have trouble with appetite add healthy fats almonds olive oil avacodos peanut butter those are high calorie so you can eat less . good luck bro

I take believe it or not 450 mcg per day.I have been on this dose for a long time.My levels are usually around normal while on or off juice ...

Do you have hypothyroidism mate? so your levels are low?

Im the opposite... hyperthyroidism so my t4 and t3 are high... I wanna get back on test, just worried it could possibly make it worse, racing heart, thyroid storm ect.....

Im hypo also and I only get 150 mcg shit but yeah test will not make it worse if anything it will help preserve muscle with your crazy metabolism but stay in the physiological range for now cause that hyper problem needs sorting out and your gonna need an endocrinologist up your shit running labs for a while and thyroid cancer is a big possiblity maybe not but for god sakes get it ruled out just in case

Thyroid hormones are very individual. Steroids can defiantly cause hyperthyroidism. I would not try to self diagnose this. I would work with your doctor. It is too individual for a one size fits all approach.

Normal thyroid levels are very important for optimizing protein synthesis. You just want to make sure your testosterone levels are in the normal range so your body doesn't become catabolic to muscle.

Steroids can affect the thyroids, but it is extremely hard to give a definitive answer to the question, as it will greatly depend on the compounds you use, and your individual genetics. As @muskate has well said, it is best to get tested, because assumptions made based on just symptoms can be very deceiving.
