animal whey

anyone try the new animal whey they've been advertising? I understand its the same brand as the animal pak I've tried. Any good?

It tastes awesome but it's a whey isolate/concentrate blend. The problem with a whey isolate/concentrate blend vs a pure whey isolate is that the whey isolate/concentrate blend will contain a few grams of lactose per serving.

The majority of adult humans have a lactose sensitivity which can cause GI issues like gas, bloating and diarrhea. A whey protein isolate on the other hand is essentially pure protein and will have only trace amounts of lactose.

When purchasing a whey protein isolate you want to see nothing in the ingredients list besides whey protein isolate, natural flavours, a natural calorie free sweetener like stevia and maybe some salt, cocoa powder and soy lecithin.

I personally use the whey protein powder isolation from n2bm.com. A 30g scoop has 26g protein, 1g carbs and 0g fat.

Whey protein is very fast digesting which makes it optimal for supplementing with before and after workouts.

I have tried it and its pretty nice. Never had issues with it. Of course when you would compare the prices of animal whey and isolation for example, the difference is huge

fart shakes may not bother you when you are younger, but as you age you will find out that your body becomes more intolerant to whey concentrate. many of the brands out there would rather use that because it is cheaper, they also contain a ton of fillers and other shit you don't need

it makes more logical sense to buy n2bm whey isolate. it is easy to digest and doesn't contain a bunch of bullshit.

With whey protein products you need to pay attention to the labels, rather than the brand names. With protein products you want something made completely with whey isolate, rather than concentrate, since it is the purest form of whey protein that has no lactose in it (and consequently no carbs of fats). Also, you don't want any unwanted additives, such as artificial sweetners and the like. For instance, I really like the Isolation from N2BM - it is 100% whey isolate, it has no artificial sweetners, or any other additives. Besides, it tastes to damn great, and the price is more than decent. I especially like the colombian espresso flavor - it tastes like the real coffee.
