Classic Physique

So what attite will they wear?? Will they have similar trunks like they did in the 70s and 80s. I like bodybuilding and i think i could thrive in it too, but i think my body type leans to classic physique. Honestly i just dont freakin feel like taking so much damn roids. In order for me to step on that stage at nearly 230lbs for my height, shit id have to take so much gear. And im not a fan of cycling in the offseason i like taking time off. Sure maybe a small test and deca run if i was lacking mass but classic physique probably fits my goals better. If i stop eating for a few hours and start ab vacuuming, i could hold my waist to 28in easily. Idk if this has any benefit in bodybuilding now. But at the sametime i bet i could be 230lbs and ripped one day if i work hard enough. Idk what to do!

Btw I am going for classic physique since I started out my journey as 135 ... I am not big enought for bodybuilding + I can see in my self some muscle that these pro physique doesnt have so ye ! take your time :)
 
Idk man, for some damn reason i feel if i do classic physique that i wont work as hard. Idk why that mentality is in my head. But if i do bodybuilding i want to give it all i got.

Physique is no less work than the Bodybuilding shows.
Both require diet and training.
Most people do not have the discipline for either.

Inwas wondering because my goal size (mass wise) is to step on stage at around 210-220lbs ripped at 5'7". All the other competitors my height are in the 250s! But i guess only time and experience will tell.

I probably say the guys like buendia and sadik are working just as hard if not harder, these guys condition is better than all of the top olympians. They have to diet their asses off to get in that condition, whereas the guys in the open BB are and have clearly let the conditioning game go since the earlies 2000s.

That may be true buts its still better conditioning than the physique dudes. Seriously? Most physique winners have been ages 20-25. That says a lot. Jeff Seid turned pro at age 19 right?? It took Cody til age 20 to turn pro and look at the difference between the 2.

What has age got to do with conditioning? 'Conditioning' should me tight, dry, hard and lean. So lets examine pro BB right now, most have some strange addiction to androgens so come in looking soft and watery (and if not they got lucky with the diuretics), most have thick stomachs if not distend from a plethora of things, growth, test, carbs during loading, most don't have the ability to vacuum and certainly have to 'control' their midsection rather than having a tight washboard set of abs. In contrast physique guys have tiny waists, are not thick front to back in the mid section, mostly in the Mr O guys were hard and reasonably dry pertaining to the criteria of judging. Physique isnt mark anthony anymore, sadik and buendia are Frank Zane like for christ sake.
 
I will say neither one of their legs were close to Zane in my book, sadik has almost no lower leg.

But that being said they work hard we all work hard, they have to diet and train just like anyone else. Op flex Lewis is 212 pounds and a little shorter than you, he won his class at O and kills it everywhere he goes not to mention he is big as fuck. You need to realize the top 10 you are mention have been doing this for 10+ years competitively not just doing a cycle here and there lifting a few months hard a dean not so hard. It's not an over night thing, I was 135 tiny tiny tiny when I started lifting I'm now 225 and ain't even at my peak. You need to be off the seen bulking your ass off then try and cut down and maybe in a few years you will be ready.

Ohhhh im not sure about that lol. My body has been built differently so if i wanted to do physique id have to stop training my arms for a while and focus on shoulder growth to give the illusion that i have bigger shoulders. Hell they dont even have to train legs. If from the beginning i did physique id be just as good. I built my base in a way that it wouldnt look good for a physique contest, even tho most physique bodies look funny. A few physique dudes are good but most, hahaha, come on guys, really??? What happened to good posture? Shoulders back, big wide chest, V Taper (The v taper is non fucking existent in physique, ive only seen like 3 guys with it) and low carb sucks. Most ripped dudes eat 200-300g carbs. Anyone who wants to eat that lame paleo diet ends up lookin like a crossfitter.

I am not talking shit...and btw you dont know the constant shit i had to go through from ages 17-19 i started at 140 blew up to 183 then dropped to 155 and still recovered to around 173 after a year. And then i went from 173-195 naturally even through ramadan. Im tired of non sense and all the 90s bodybuilders are right. This generation of lifters sucks. And im not attacking JR in any way. And btw come at me Nov 21. Challenge me go ahead. Thats when ill be done with my first cycle. Get off me.

Im 5'7" 200lbs. Gained 5lbs first 12 days and i took winny which i dropped a few days ago and 500mg test a week. I have 58 more days to go.

Hahaha he's an idiot lol, the sad part is when I was 19 all natural I looked better than him and I'm about to post a picture of it. When I started lifting I took old guys advice I wasn't a cocky fuck like him, he's got a long way to go.

Well I kinda know the future but since you asked I would say the next thing you should train is shoulders, arms, forearm, traps, chest, ABS, and obliques seems like you need work in all those areas.

Actually ummmmm lots of steroid users dont even work that hard. Most gyms i walked into its clear whos on AAS and i see them chilling and hanging out, all relaxed. Sure they are kindaaaa buff, but besides that they dont look that impressive for the dosages a lot of these guys take.

That's why I say that, you need to know what your doing with AAS, actually steroids will make you fat if your diet is not on check & I'm sure you didn't know that. I don't care how much juice your on 80% of it consist of diet. Your in the wrong gym if guys on AAS are not impressive. And you need to loose the mentality that you know everything there is to know if your only 10 weeks in. I've seen the outcome to many times.

As far as I am aware, they will be wearing posing trunks similar to that of the '70s and '80s. The trunks will show off the full legs but not reveal the glutes.

None of the details of the new division have been posted yet so it's kind of just all hear say for now but I am very excited for the new division as well.

Crossfit, you have the perfect physique for classic bodybuilding. I am really excited to help you with your first show in the spring.

It is actually harder to get a pro card in physique right now then bodybuilding. Go to an national level show. The amount of competitors in the physique division will be 4-5 times the amount in bodybuilding.
 
If I were still competing, I would definitely go for the classic physique - I really like it more than the modern bodybuilding.

don't worry about that right now lol. you would be competing in a regional novice division.. and guys your height are not 250 in those, they are way closer to 150.. the dude who won the lightweight last show was 165 tops. I am talking NOVICE lightweight division bodybuilding. not even physique. to be your height and 250 will take years and years and years and years to get to and you will need excellent genetics. hell even that height and 200 at a low body fat is a helluva accomplishment, don't overrate steroids and underrate genetics in this game or you will be humbled quickly
