Getting pretty achy.

Growing Brother
Hey bros, I'm about 6 weeks into my cycle, and I am starting to get pretty achy. I would presume, it's because I'm putting on a shit ton of weight, really fast!! I have put on 24 lbs in the past 6 weeks. It seems to be tendon's that are aching. It's mostly the first 20 minutes of my workout. Anything ya'll would suggest that I could pick up at a local store to aid? Or should I just ride it out? "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," keeps playing in my head.

Thanks fellas.

Damn brother!! Thats some serious weight. If you dont mind me asking what are you running? How does the weight look? I mean do you feel your reataining water or mostly clean gains? Also, as far as the aches I am about 4 weeks in and I found I just had to take a day off here and there. That helped me out a lot

Yeah man it is. I would say pretty damn clean gains. It is my first cycle, but damn! Obviously a little water, but all around I'm getting think as hell. Went from 194 to 218 today. I'm running DS dbol the first 4 at 30mg. And Alpha Pharma Sust from DS. It's happening so quickly it's almost scary, lol. Pretty tough to attribute it to Creatine and eating at this point!

Are u lifting heavy all the time mainly? My elbows killed for awhile when I was lifting but heavy heavy heavy all the time. I got lots of size but also lots of pain.

Fish oil is good for lubing things up.

Yes sir, as heavy as possible. Figure while on cycle go hard or go home....? Maybe I should up the fish oil a bit. That's where my aches are, opposite side of elbow. Preacher curls KILL!

Oustanding bro, keep tearin it up! Loading up on the fish oils myself. Being 41 and going full tilt lately, there are times I can barely bend my arms to my face or to extend them. I have decided to go heavy and hard 1 time per muscle group a week leaving the 2nd time I hit said muscle group 4 days later I concentrate more intensely on contraction, heavy but not too much, contraction is key.,

Well I'll keep on keeping on! I just don't want any long term damage ya know.

You can take the weight down and go for higher reps. It saves the joints and soft tissues. Permanent injury isn't going to help with growth

Are you taking an a.i.? What dosage?

This could also be low estrogen but I doubt it considering how much bloat you are holding.

Yes sir, Adex. 05 EOD. But honestly I have missed a few days here and there with it. Hate to drop weight, but maybe it's best.

You'd hate to hear a big snap and be out for a surgery too. Take the weight down, get In the 15 rep range (which is great for hypertrophy) and when the pain subsides, try alternating your days between heavy and high rep

Very good I will switch it up, load up the fish oils and ride it out.

....x2 . I agree. I hate going down in weight thou and doing high reps. I feel like I am doing p90x or something. But I think when you mix it up like that, it's a great way to confuse the muscles. I think the key is going to failure.

I would assume your strength has gone up too?
You might be increasing your lifting weight faster then your body can keep up with.

Oh definitely. This is what's going on. I mean it's expected, but you know how it is when your on cycle, balls to the walls, and I just don't wanna sell myself short, but also don't wanna get hurt, lol.

Example for some time, I have been at 60 on over head dumbell press. Six weeks later , I'm pushing 85's. To me that's a shit ton on the shoulders.

Exactly.

I also think the first couple weeks of a cycle you have the power but your muscles are fitted to handle all the weight... Yet!

Your tendons dont gain strength as fast as your muscles are growing. Gotta drop weight down some protect those tendons or youll do serious damage. I had same issue on last deca/test cycle i felt strong as hell and lifted heavy as possible

Just before your workout put some ointment on them (like that skeletal balm by n2bm, that shit's good) and wrap them, but not tightly, just enough to keep them warm. If you wrap them tight, as you are working out they will get too uncomfortably tight.

up your good fats (oils), drink lots of water, I like to rotate my shoulders and elbows before I do chest, shoulders, bis, tris, even back to warm them up and get synovial fluid moving. I take Osteo Bi-Flex triple strength as well. It works for me. Cissus Quadrangularis is good to take also.

just don't get any on your balls , that is if you still have any ! Lol , all kiding aside , this shit works great , it's some powerful stuff , only problem is you smell like a geriatric . You can use it and tape up with Rock Tape , it helps the tape stick better . Get it at Amazon . Check it Out ! On rocktape.com

Caaannn Uuuu Diigg It ?

Yes you need to maybe back it down a little maybe just for a week. Let your joints and ligs and tendons catch up. You don't want to injure yourself and lose all you have worked so hard for. A few days won't slow down the growth actually probly increase it. You don't grow when you lift you grow when you rest ie sleep. Get good sleep. Also ice areas that hurt after lifting.

Fish oil really works for me. Takes a while to get working good, but once it does it really helps creaky/achy joints. Some people take less, i take 6-9g a day.

I can only Address this from my Old Ass Point of View.
Since I to, like to always go Heavy, or I feel like I'm cheating myself.
I take a Whole lot of Fish Oil, not pills, I like the High Test Liquid (Carlson's), and I usually take about 2 to 3 Tablespoons a Day - (1,600 mg per Teaspoon)
I also take Shark Cartilage and MSM.
I always do some Dynamic Stretching before Working out.
My Secret Weapon is Compression Sleeve's, I have them for my Elbows, Calf's, and even have Compression Shorts (pulled Gracilis muscle).........................................................JP
P.S.
At the rate I'm going, in a couple of years, I'll need a (Compression One-sie).
P.S.S.
I forgot, there's Capsaicin Creme, just don't get any in your Eye's or on the Family Jewels.

Thank you Brother JP. I will look into it. Stated today, higher volume, little less weight. It will probably do wonders for a change. It's just hard for me to tell myself, "ok, less weight."

I really haven't had much joint issues, just me tendons and ligaments.

That's what the Compression Sleeves are good for, Support for the Ligaments and Tendons.
I have Tendinitis, in both Elbows, Calcium Deposits in both Knees, Degenerative Hip Disease in both Hips.
And just to round everything out Systemic Osteo-Arthritis.
So I'm always looking for ways to keep Lifting while Mitigating the Strain on my Ligaments and Tendons.............................................JP
P.S.
Also, the Sleeves can Prevent problems, before they start, I wish they were around 30 years ago.
Try the Elbow Sleeves, only about $7 to $10 a piece (depending on brand), make a really Big Difference.
I can go Heavy, even on days when my Elbows are Achy, actually helps Diminish the Pain.
P.S.S.
Was looking at my Previous Post - Pulled Gracilis Muscle (Groin Pull).
The Gracilis goes from the Inside of your Knee up to the Pubic Bone.
It's just a small Strap-Like Muscle, and that's why a lot of Pro-Athlete's pull-it so easily.

Thank you very much for your knowledge JP, it's very much appreciated.
I hope that you Never have the problems that I've run into over the years.
I think for me it was more the fact of 35 years of Setting Granite and Marble.
Than anything I ever did in the Gym.
But there's so many more things that are available today, that because of the Lack of the Internet, just weren't known, back in the day.............JP

Op, have you had bloodwork done? I'm wondering if your estrogen levels are very low. I'll take Arimidex, and sometimes get achy. I found that my e2 was very low. After finding that, I spread out the Arimidex dose.

No I haven't had my bloods yet, but I'm can tell, and am sure, it's just from the rapid gains. My strength is totally through the roof, and I have added 24 lbs in the past 6 weeks. I mainly feel it in my tendons on the opposite side of the elbow. I will have switched up the routine, and will incorporate higher volume. It is all tolerable, I just wanna play it safe. I have been lifting EXTREMELY heavy the past month.

Probably give the "21's" a break as well. The seem to really key in on the aches.

Well, worst case scenario would be rest. Keep us posted as to what you find out. Especially let us know how the labs come back. I get labs so much, I have no doubt I have scar tissue building up. LOL!

Will do! Rest will def help, I know that. I have been going HARD since I been on. The strength and size far exceed anything I have ever expected at this point. I will most likely see 30 lbs, not thought that in a million years. I have heard of it happening for the first AAS cycle, but expected far less, lol.

What are you taking? Sounds like anadrol is mixed in there when I read your original post.

Alpha Pharma Sust 250, 500mg/WK, MWF. Started with Dbol (blue hearts) at 30mg first 4 weeks. All from DS.

Those are good gains for a relatively low amount of gear. Good job! You must have been eating good, as that's what it takes.

Been planning it for 5 years. Got my diet and training on point. Virgin receptors I suppose

I'd say it a couple different things......

1. the added weight gain you are carrying 24/7
2. the added strength has increased the weight your using, but your joints and tendons haven't had adequate time to adjust.
3. You're lacking joint lubrication.

As stated, i'd back off on the weight and slowly increase at 10lbs max per week. I'd stretch more. I'd increase my water intake and also start taking some joint relief vitamins like mitochondroitan or whatever the hell it's called. Likely the added weight along with your increase in workout weight has tendons a bit inflamed. Try popping 2 advil after your workouts. It should help ease the inflammation some.

Good luck!
