LGD and Diet

To the PROs:

I'm loving LGD like it's a shiny new toy but I seem to be having an issue with diet? I'm eating well enough but I keep getting feelings of low energy, like a sugar crash. I have to eat something sugary etc. to get back to a normal feeling. I also wake up feeling like this lately. I don't have diabetes and I've very recently (as of 3 weeks ago) had blood draws that come back normal. Am I not consuming enough calories? I feel many times I could (want) cram calories down but I'm not doing that as to not have a calorie surplus turning to fat. I'm not excessively thirsty either. Just trying to think of everything surrounding the crash.

Any ideas???

Thank you as always!

You should lay out a typical days worth of meals so we can see the details of what and how much you are eating each day. Include your stats as well. That will really help.

Morning : Cereal (usually raisin bran) with low fat milk.

Snacks: Fruits and vegetables, beef jerry, granola bar

Lunch: Salad with a protein

Supper: Usually a protein with a starch and vegetables.

Gym supplements: Caffeine, LGD and Whey 2 Build Muscle @ one scoop after my workout.

Stats: 6'4" 235 pounds, muscular and roughly 17% body fat.

I was also just diagnosed with hypothyroidism and sleep apnea. Been struggling for over a year with low energy and fatigue. They thought low Test until my sleep study results came back last Friday. I manage to have fantastic workouts however but now I'm wondering if the thyroid and apnea issue have been killing gains etc. All brand new to me.

A few tips
- break your meals up into 6-7 smaller meals per day. This will leads to more stable blood sugar levels
-there is a lot of sugar in your diet which is causing your blood sugar to spike and crash. Raisin bran, milk and granola bars are all very high in sugar. Stick with unrefined carbohydrates such as oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potato etc
- try supplementing with omega 3 fatty acids and n2slin from n2bm.com to increase the insulin sensitivity of your muscle cells

Muskate is totally correct. There is a big difference between carbs. Change these and energy should even out and even increase.

As a matter of fact, I have been having the same problems as you do - sleep apnea that makes me feel like shit in the morning, and weak all day. Mildronate is a great med that will help you recover faster. Also, it has the ability to recovery your neurons after lacking oxygen, which helps with apnea. Finally, there is a med that is very effective for fatigue treatment, but it is hard to obtain - modafinil. Other trademarks include - Alertec, Alertex, Carim, Modalert, Modapro, Modafil, Modasomil, Modavigil, Modiodal, Provake, Provigil, Resotyl, Mentix, Stavigile, Vigia, Vigil, Zalux.

Thanks for the insight bros. Odd thing is, this is something I've done with consistency and the crash feelings are very new. I thought about it yesterday and I actually got a bad crash DURING big bench. Ruined my entire workout. Have a Subway next door and had to mow down to recover. Took over an hour. BTW I hate Subway, so I was in desperation mode. Hahaha

Sleep apnea has wrecked my physical life it turns out. No awareness of this complication at all. Zero restorative sleep. That is bad news for us body builders! Depression etc. I urge you all to look it up.

I had all those tests done. Came back negative. But I found out I needed to take more time off from training. And I slept like a baby. My body was always under stress. From working long hours on my feet. And working out everyday. So I took some steps with my diet and days off and I now after months of working things out I feel so much better.

you sound like you are very insulin resistant. in plain English you need to spread your carbs out throughout the day and use them for energy. you cannot be like so many of these guys in the fitness world and drop your carbs to near zero. use carb sources like sweet potato, rice, fruit, etc. healthy ones.

also when you add in a PED to the equation since they help nutrition partition this makes your issue worse.

I'm the exact same boat as you, but you sound way worse.. for me its get bad when I use tren since its so anabolic. but with you just using LGD puts you in that situation. if I am going to go do some sort of outdoor activity I always have to carry some glycogen pills with me or else I begin with sweat or shake, that's if I am on tren. I always have to make sure to fill up my glycogen stores if I am going to burn them with rigorous activity.. so you should go buy them from the pharmacy and always keep them on hand.

in the end this can be turned into an advantage.. you will find you are able to get bigger and stronger easier via food. as your body demands it. that's why for me on tren I get huge and strong as an ox so fast.
