Whet through the crotch rocket stage, and that was fun. I'm wanting a Harley, but every time I turn on the local news, someone on a bike dies damned near every day here in my area.

Very nice brother, I love a street glide. Put a 120r in my dad's street glide two years ago, it is a beast. Lots of money in that bad bike of yours. I am currently fabricating brackets to fit a set of touring hard bags on my lowrider. I have the bags out right now getting painted. I had to cut the front section of the bag out and fill it so that the shock on the dyna will sit in there. Should be pretty nice when it is all done. What size front wheel is that in your bike proman?

97 Dyna lowrider and a 04 gsxr 1000 the pic is my Harley and my buddy's 03 gsxr 750 we go on a New Year's Day ride every year then wash the salt off of them and put them back in the garage until it's at least 35 degrees

That gxer was the best pound for pound bike of all time. In 04 it weighed a few pounds less than the cbr600 look it up! 25% more ccs and less weight!

Yeah she rips I started out with a katana (can-o-tuna) 600 it was a turd then I met a guy that had a 04 gsxr 1000 with a cam and a few other upgrades it sat in primer grey race plastics and it was his track bike he let me take it out and good lord I had it in second gear at 4000 rpm I rolled on the throttle and the front end came up and into balance I could ebr believe it made that kind of power low end were talking about a 16000 rpm redline here it shouldn't make any power until 6-7k after that I knew I had to get one

Before I sold my last bike, I wore the same stuff, and there are no helmet laws where I live. In addition, I was taking my Son to one of his events, and some tourist pulled out in front of a guy on a dresser, and he went down. I carry a medic's bag in my trunk, and stopped to help him. Keep in mind, this was last summer in FLORIDA. Hot! He was wearing a half-helmet, leather jacket, boots, and gloves. He was fine, but his helmet had a major scuff mark on it, which means...well, you know what would have happened had he not been wearing it. As I was helping him while we waited on medics, he was more worried about his bike, and I had to hold him down so he wouldn't do any more damage to himself. Lol!
Btw, I don't believe in helmet laws. The gov doesn't know best. I just happen to believe in wearing one, personally.

I agree brother, I don't believe the government should be able to tell us what is best for us but I do believe in helmets. I also live in a state that does not have helmet laws but I wear mine religiously.

There are only two types of riders, those who have been down and those who will go down. If you wear your helmet, leather jacket, and riding pants you have a much greater chance of walking away with some bruises and scrapes. Wear your tank top and jeans and let me know later how it feels when they are pulling fibers of that material out of your skin....not fun.

There is alot to be said when the insurance companies had a huge role in helmet/no helmet. Possibility of death or traumatic head injury leaving u in a vegetable state. Which do u think the insurance companies would rather pay out?

You bring up a good point brother. The funny thing is that in my state in order to legally ride without a helmet you pay more for your insurance and your coverage on head injuries get decreased to $25,000. That money is gone in the ambulance ride and the emergency room, after that it is out of your pocket. Better put that brain bucket on and strap it on tight.

I do not believe anyone should rule over you with an iron fist, yes I believe seatbelts & helmets save lives but it should always be a personal choice. If the government wanted to save everybody they would make is start riding horse again lol......The laws are to keep the insurance companies from paying out any more than they have to. They never "lose" money, they just het upset when a chunk comes outta there pockets

I've gone down wearing basketball shorts and a jacket on gravel it happened FAST I'm a very aggressive rider but I'm also very skilled on a bike I went down because I was drunk/stoned and came into a parking lot way too hot I would routinely lock up the rear tire for fun and skid to a stop but this day a dog ran out in front of me and I had to lock up the front as well that's all it took I was pulling whole stones out of my leg I've had riding buddies that have died and a couple that definitely should have nowadays I ride sober and if I'm on my rocket I wear a helmet (mostly because anything above 120mph makes you tear up pretty bad my Harley tops out at around 110 I've taken my gsxr up to 183 with a gps but I felt uncomfortable I like 170 tops) the scariest time I've ever had on a bike I ate about 4.5 grams of some really good mushrooms and I had to ride 45min home I had a conversation with god that night and it has changed my views on religion to this day

So mushrooms hit you in waves you are tripping balls for a while maybe 30-45min then you get moments of clarity before tripping again well I was riding home taking back roads and I was convinced the military was after me so I had the throttle pinned trying to get away I eventually shook those thoughts but the reflective road signs were "smeared" across the road and fucking up my vision and the trees on either side of the road were leaning in and this sounds crazy but they were trying to consume me I had no options but to say a prayer so I screamed my prayer towards the sky and when I was finished my vision cleared up and I could ride/see clearly and safely well I thought "that was just a wave clearing" and immediately the intense visuals/paranoia came back I apologized and told god he has proven himself to me and the test of my ride was clear and safe then when I got home I threw away everything that my family owned that I deemed "evil" (I was a biker I rode with a club so there was a lot of evil around) and I've since cut ties with my "brothers" and my family is now my top priority now was that just mushrooms coming and going or divine intervention? You tell me

Gsxr 750 Srad first one I had.. second was Yamaha yzfr1 Crashed this one (2 months in hospital) after that I got another one from the insurance company hehe :P so I still have it back in Europe (I miss her as hell)

My Dad was a Pastor. I believe as well! Glad to have you here! And yes, I used to be an over the top hell raiser. Bodybuilding with God's help, saved my life. I'd long be gone by now had I continued... And btw, God Carried me through two tours in Iraq in the USMC.

Yeah, they'll say their stuff while typing from mommies basement, but won't do it in person by any means. 12 posts, and already bashing others conversations they weren't even invited to opine about... Ok. Like I said, he's just mad his boyfriend won't roll over for him.
Anyhow, I'm finished with that. Let's get back to something that actually has a pair, like motorcycles.

^^^^lol^^ I'm hoping I can swing it I'm trying to dump both of my bikes and pick up a triumph rocket 3 touring and if I can pull it off find a shop to throw a turbo and inter cooler on it those motors are massive and there's a ton of room to make more power with boost btw they're already 2300cc beasts but they are heavy and big

Damn, a turbo? I can only imagine that bike will be a wicked machine! Btw, there's some guy on youtube with a turbo on a crotch rocket who videos himself doing insane shit on crowded interstates. I watched a clip, and figured he probably won't last to make many more, but damn! He was doing wheelies at 150mph+ I did crazy, stupid shit long ago, but nothing like that. Lol

Yeah I'm a speed junkie and I push everything to it's limits I used to shoot archery in competition and I'm quite good I'll pull off 65yd shots at an outdoor range and no one tries that shit but me I like seeing how far I can truly go before I fall on my face I'm not looking to pull 150mph wheelies on a 800lb machine I just want neck snapping acceleration out of a big ass road couch

I wonder how many guys on here are into archery I know there was a gun thread I stayed away from but I have a pof 308 w/20"fluted bull bbl it's essentially a badass piston driven ar-10 tack driver it shoots sub moa I also have a lever .22 w/octagon bbl for the kids and a 6" s&w .357 with a scope on it and a stainless Springfield full size 1911 that rides in a galco shoulder holster and it has a 4.2lb trigger a very accurate gun I also daily carry a 22-jet I have more but those are my good ones my bow is a 2008 Hoyt katera I wonder if there's enough interest to start a archery thread

Funny you mention that. I'm gonna have to call, and see if the range is open after Church Sunday as I plan to take the vtr .308 out, and push some pins. I'll also take the AR, AK, and a 1911. I LOVE the smell of gunpowder in the morning... And afternoon, and evenings. Lol!

It takes a lot of practice like I said I used to shoot competition I also used to but 50lb bags of corn from the local feed mill when I was a kid and I'd dump it under a tree in my backyard then id watch out the window and wait for the squirrels to come in for a snack I'd take my bow and creep out the front door and around to the back yard I could usually pick off about three of them before they realized what was going on I used to toss them in a 5 gal bucket and I'd take them to my grandmas she would help me clean and cook them I used game stoppers behind broad heads because I was a dumb kid and it was badass well when I'd hit a squirrel the arrow would grab the squirrel and pick it up off the ground they would usually travel 5-10 feet in the air before ripping in half it was messy but a ton of fun and a good challenge and if course if I killed it I ate it

LOL brother....thats some funny shit. Yeah....I used to take my bike back and forth from San DIego to Los Angeles in commuting traffic. I told myself I would NEVER get on my bike while I was drinking but things changed and it wasnt long before i was not only having a few beers IN THE MORNING (due to fact that I was hung over as hell from the previous nights session) but was swerving in and out of lanes to avoid traffic. DUDE!!! I know I had to have had an Angel sitting behind me. CRAZY ASS SHIT!

You know what guys... Since I came here (USA/Texas) I realised one thing... Please dont get me wrong :P ... You guys are crazy about your guns hehe
Back in Europe we all have this issues of getting licence for firearms (as long you are not in military or police service permanently, your chance of getting a fire arm is decresed to 0) ... I love the idea of having a gun, I must admit.. Especially after visiting gun expo in Austin two months back... amazing experience (so many 1911 customs omg, the ones with wooden finishes) ehh love at the first sight...

We secured the second amendment after we kicked the brits out of the colonies. They are there for a reason and the second amendment shall not be infringed ever.

For him England left USA because they didnt need it any longer... (amazing point of view, but well what can I say)...
