Hey guys.
This one is for a friend and I'm not knowledgeable enough to truly help. I need you brewers to give me some advice.

He's one of my best friends. He did an order with hammer maybe a year ago when he first showed up. Good old hammer lol. First I will say everything I used from hammer was excellent. And I have a good taste for gear. Got lucky I guess...

Now that it's been sitting a while, his test has changed color. I believe it's just oxidization of something in it. Never seen brown test in my time. I've heard it happen though.

What's the deal guys. No heat exposure he knows of either. I'd say it's good but I'm not here to guinea pig it. He lived back in cali and he is not the most knowledgable.guy on this stuff. He won't be the type to just toss it. I need a solid explanation. I'm about to go light hammer up. If any of you still have his email it would be much appreciated if you can pm me. You can fuck with me all you want but nobody fucks with my friends who don't know better. Appreciate any help from you guys on this.

It might have changed color due to the carrier oil. Unfortunately, only blood work would be able to tell if it is still fine. Anyhow, if it was initially good, it should not be poisonous now. At most, it just won't work. All in all, I have never seen this color of test before.

I've stored gear for up to 16 months and not once have I had my gear change colors. anything from primo to test to winny to tren.

I wouldn't inject that shit into my body personally.

What you mean Steve? You dont have Chamelion gear?! It blends with the color of the cabinet. Defense mechanism lol.
No hell no lol I just need info for my bud so he knows not to inject it. You know how people can be. Nt everyone is willing to just pitch a few vials. Regardless. If hammer decides to be a dick about it, I will replace all his gear myself so I dont think we have to worry. I have neeeeeverrrrr seen this happen before lol. Im waiting on my buddy to let me know how his convo with hammer went.

Any of you guys still use him?

Patiently standing by for amozoc to show up with his "trenzoil" picture... lol

That's pretty disgusting if you ask me!

Like wtf even causes that change? I need to conduct some stress tests to see if I can make a vial of test do this lol.

There is a guy selling geneza at my gym for $200 + a vial.... Maybe il get this stuff back here to me and make him a killer deal lol. What goes around comes around....

SD might be able to solve the mystery .. will wait for him to chime in

Bro, I would not inject that stuff.

I am not a brewer, but I have a decent understanding of chemistry. I think that the oil (which is an organic compound... meaning that it is carbon based) was probably exposed to air and that the oil has oxidized. The oxidation is not that big of a problem, but organic oils can spoil if exposed to to ambient air for too long. This is why walnuts and almonds have a finite shelf life.

Probably the stopper was not seated well or the rubber might have had a micro-tear in it from using a large bore needle, which allowed it to sit and breath the air... that respiration would allow the organics to react with oxygen.

Maybe even the oil had some microscopic iron particles in it... oxygen causes iron to rust. You have rust colored oil.

It looks to me like the carrier oil went rancid. I am not sure what carrier oil the lab used but it seems like they used an oil with a very low shelf life.

DONT inject it.

Great post. Sums up what I suspected happened as well very nicely.

its not oxidization. only tren will have that happen to it. it could be a number of things.

chemist mixed u bags and thats not test
could be a carrier oil went bad
could have burnt the crap out of the mixture
there is a bacteria in the oil that is causing the colour change

either way test is NOT supposed to turn like that. I would contact the supplier for a return. And i personally wouldn't go back to him. imo he's a sloppy chemist if hat happens. there is no need for that

I agree here. Its one thing to have the initial color be dark right from the beginning but its another thing for the color to change much darker over time.
I would rule out mixed up powder bags and burning the batch since that would have both showed up right out of the gate when he received the gear. Could have used expired carrier oil, or expired filters not quite taking out everything it should have, including bacteria or some other matter.

don't pin it bro Im a brewer when oil oxidizes it actually will lighten up their might be oils out there that darken but the norm lighten I've never seen that before something is going on that you don't understand so I wouldn't put that in my body who ever made it I guarantee knows or has an idea an probably isn't telling you for what ever reason just return it

Yes! Keep it coming lol I've convinced him to toss it I think. Fucking hammer lol.
Dude always has issues. Also odd that these couple vials turned but nobody else had this issue at all.

Good, make him toss it. Hammer was exposed for sterility issues on another forum... The idiot even posted pictures of it and got absolutely lit up by the users. Also, multiple stories of infections... Which would go with the half assed brewing. Robo would know way more so I'd trust him on this one. Tell your buddy to toss the crap. If you want the link to the hammer shredding just PM me

Thanks buddy. I think its well known at this point with him. I am interested to see hammers action on this and what he does to rectify it. My friend has been offered replacments of course but who really wants that when his gear goes brown lol.

Hahah is he even allowed on here? Haven't seen him in some time. I was reading someone had their tren replaced 3 times. People forget that this is your body, be smart

Im sitting on hammer test e and its clear as water. My label looks different tho. A lot different
Ah you got the green ones I bet. He swiched over at some point. I remember him announcing his improvements lol.

Hammer has been causing issues one after another. This is not the first "dirty gear" problem be careful what you inject bro. Never know wich vial will give you a mean infection with this crap.

I don't have shit to gain from this. Hammer could offer me 1000 free vials and I would turn it down. Lol. I'm only here cause what my buddy got isn't right... as long as he gets straight I'm cool.
