pita vs bread

It's basically the same thing man. Pita just doesn't have as much yeast in it so it isn't as fluffy. Kind of like comparing soda crackers to white bread. The nutrient profiles and ingredients are pretty much identical.

The key when choosing carbohydrates is to choose low GI carbohydrates. Those will raise blood sugar the slowest and have the highest fiber content.

The best carbohydrates to base your diet around are brown rice, oatmeal, quinoa, and sweet potato. Along with fruits and vegetables of course.

Bread is bread. It doesn't matter whether it is white, wheat, tortilla, bagel, pita, etc. They are all things you want to eliminate when trying to cut. Trust me, I work for a bread company!

Go with better options like oatmeal, rice, sweet potato as your carbs.
