So I got my results back from my T test. Doc said it was low/normal. I'm 44 and can feel low energy, fatigue and low sex drive. That is NOT my normal self. Normally all over the place and into everything. Reason I requested the T test added when I got my yearly physical.

%Free Testosterone 1.50 - 4.20 % 3.23
Testosterone Free 5.00 - 21.00 ng/dL 13.92
Testosterone 348 - 1197 ng/dL 431

Any advice on what to do from here.

Thanks

Since I can't edit my post,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Are these results considered somewhat normal or should there be action taken to boost T

Your results are normal but they are on the low side. If you look at your blood work, the normal range for testosterone is 348-1197. You scored 431. Although that is technically in the normal range, it is on the low side.

At 44, getting prescribed a low dose of testosterone for testosterone replacement therapy shouldn't be too hard. If your doctor mentioned your testosterone levels seem low, he would probably be willing to prescribe you TRT himself.

You can go the TRT route or use a good natural testosterone booster like HCGenerate ES from n2bm.com. The TRT route will obviously be more effective but once you get on TRT, it is for the rest of your life. You will be take an injection once per week for the rest of your life. That's something you need to think about and talk over with your family members. I would use a couple bottles of HCGenerate ES from n2bm.com while you talk it all over with your doctor and family members and make your decision on the TRT.

The doctor mentioned Axiron or Androgel. I know nothing about them other than they aren't injected.

Thanks again

These products are expensive and rather useless. If you want an effective topical product, then go with RS Transaderm. Besides, it already has anti-estrogen compounds in it, so it is an all-in-one product. However, it would be best to first try out a good natural testosterone booster, such as HCGenerate ES. It truely increases testosterone levels, and improves the feeling of wellbeing. I take it all the time because it was the only testosterone booster that really made a difference, and I could feel its effects. If you find it insufficient, then you can consider using a topical testosterone product, but it is always best to begin with the mild staff, and gradually change it.

at 44 to have those test levels are fine. i would take that in a heartbeat at that age

going on TRT for life is not going to magically make you feel great necessarily and no doc will prescribe you with those levels.

i would suggest utilizing some natural supplements

You could start off with natural test boosters and see how you feel. If you are still not feeling great ask the doctor for TRT. I would not go with the gel though. Be specific and ask for test injections.

If you are done with having kida and dont mind getting onto injections every week, ask your doctor for TRT

Are you guys saying Axiron is bad? My doctor just prescribed it for me. lomac have you tried it yet? Any advice?

I am 42. My total test results came back today at 208. The nurse said I was not far from the normal low at 241. FYI, I am not an AAS user. No previous cycling.

I'm 38 and my free Test is lower than yours. My doc says I'm at the bottom of the normal range for my age and there's no need for prescription test.

What I did was say F it.... my girlfriend is hotter than a super model and no way I'm letting low test get in the way of us being happy together. So I'm on steroids now until I get the body I want. As far as sex drive and energy goes. If you're willing to pin yourself for the rest of your life and you're done with having kids, I'd go that route. T is the fountain of youth as they say. I'd rather pin illegal Test than take some sort of weird doctor prescribed stuff that is suppsoed to boost Test. No idea what Axiron is but I've never heard of it and I've done 1000's of hours of research on low T since I was diagnosed with low T over 4 years ago. I suppose you could always take Doctor prescribed Clomid. That should in theory boost test if you can get a doctor to prescribe clomid for you but I doubt it unless you tell the doc that you're trying to have kids. Plus Clomid won't give you the same results as just injecting Test and Clomid could potentially have some bad side effects were as 250 mg / week test injections won't give you any bad sides other than testicular atrophy and reduced sperm count which you could always counteract with HCG.

Anyway. Each to their own. But I'd just do the injections. Either illegally or legally. I'd stay away from the creams cause I want my woman's hands to be able to caress my body all over anytime of the day. The creams are totally not worth it in my opinion.

Ah... Axiron is like Androgel.... I missed that the first read through. Yeah stay way from gels. Unless you live alone I suppose. But if you have kids, pets, and or a female partner in your life.... gels are a major major pain in the ass let alone risky for your loved ones to be around.
