in the short term yes they will atleast dull the pain
but in weight training lingo it would make no sense to get this done and then go weight train and pound away again. it would be like a boxer injecting lidocaine all over his face and jaw so he wouldn't feel hits. in the end he will only fuck himself up more
They work, sure. But you'll need more and more as your body tolerates it. It'll last less and less. It's like taking narcotics. works great short term, horrible in long term and will cause more issues than good.
