TRT Self Administeration..

So my endo wants me to self administer myself instead of having to drive all the way over there myself. I've never pinned before but I was just wondering if there are any good youtube videos I should follow and look up before doing so. My next shot is on Monday.. and I've been on TRT since last December. I don't mind needles.. I just don't want to fuck up. So when I pick up my syringes from the pharmacy tomorrow I want to make sure they have two types of syringes. Because you need two.. one to draw the testosterone and one to inject. So what are the typical sizes of those so I know if they got the correct size.

Also, if i'm going 100mgs a week how many mls is that? .5mls? I'll be shooting the glutes and I gotta say I'm kinda nervous.. again not the needle part.. just injecting into a muscle and doing it myself lol I'm looking forward to it but I also want to do it right you know?

Your only need one syringe.. TWO needles.. I'll hit glute with 1.5 23/25g and delt /quad with 25g 1"....

No I know it'll be easy.. it's just I've never done it myself haha and I wouldn't mind quads but glutes will be easier to handle if they get sore. I'll look up spot injections for sure though.
 
Them boys in the UK love jabbing needles. I always go a lil slow and inject oil slow.

I use 25g 1inch when I am blasting and 27g 1/2inch when doing my normal TRT dose. The 1/2inch is only useful if your body fat is low enough to support actually getting into the muscle.
 
23g needle will be just fine. Check out the website mentioned above - there you will find some extensive info on injections. Have no worries, it sounds worse than it really is.
 
Mistakes will happen, even then, not a big deal. Ive had to repin a few times. I prefer legs so I can see wtf im doing.

So when I go into the pharmacy they should give me a pack with two sets of needles right? One for drawing up the liquid and one for injecting? Or do I need to ask for two sets? And again what sizes do they have to be? Online I've seen 18 gauge for drawing up the needle and 25 for injecting but does that sound right?
 
I draw and shoot same needle 23g. Hardly a significant difference between changing out needles.

Draw with anything below a 23g, and pin with anything above a 22g. I have pinned myself hundreds of times in the past, and the gold standard for pinning would seem to be 25g. Also, avoid using anything longer than a one-inch needle. Contrary to popular belief, unless you are the size of Jay Cutler or Phil Heath, there is simply no need for a 1.5 inch needle.

Do not reuse your drawing needle. A needle that has been used to draw has already been dulled and will hurt more going through the skin.

I've had travel with gear and had use same needle for both.. Fuck that. Much, much smoother with fresh pin..
 
I too am self administered TRT. I'm too uncoordinated to go to the glutes.........the reach around and the viewing of the content in the syringe from the rear through a mirror is too much for me. I go to the quads, rotate each quad from week to week. I use the the 20g needle to draw from the vial to the syringe, 23g 1 inch to inject. I'm going to switch to a higher gauge (smaller needle) 25g 1/2 needle. I'm fairly lean, no need to go so deep into the muscle tissue. Here is a video that was very helpful for me to inject into the quads......this guy is a transgender......female to male, the method he is showing really is a very painless way to inject into the quads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfNlAZLxLyw

OMG, this is the only advice you should take. anyone suggesting pinning a trt dose with a 23 or 25 gauges is retarded.

I personally draw with 20g as i've found the 18 destroys toppers pretty fast, and i pin with a 27g slin pin 1/2in needle
 
Nice post brother! A bunch of "us" are retarded on here I guess. And you use 27g 1/2" which is not much smaller than the 25g 1/2"? Nice contribution to the thread. There's give and take in all of this. The smaller the needle, the easier to "poke", however the longer it takes for the gear to go through. So to each his own "brother".

I'd say there are. Have you ever laid out a 23, 25, 27 next to each other? there's a significant difference. And if you're only pushing .5ml for trt, use the smallest pin the oil goes through. And you're right, to each his own, but for a new guy about to self administer a trt dose there's no need to go poking big holes for nothing.

So if the pharmacy only has one size needles and it's a 25g I should be fine to fill and pin with that size? Or do I absolutely need two sizes you think? I know I hope I'm not freaking myself out over nothing. Needles don't scare me at all. I use to be an IV user in the past but it's different with veins. It's easy finding veins but injecting into the muscle scares me a little.. but I'm sure after my first pin I'll be like, "Really.. that was it?" I'm just over analyzing the different sizes and I'm hoping the pharmacy did get the right request from my endo because they sent over the prescription yesterday I just hope they have two different sets of needles one to fill the oil and one to inject

I used to hear bro shit ....back in the days: to leave at least 1/4 to 1/2" visible in case the needle breaks; that way you an withdraw the pin.....meh

use 25g 1" and do delts bro. its the easiest spot and most pain free imo.
 
So I guess my insurance doesn't cover the needles so they gave me 5 3ml 22 and a half gauge syringe with needles and they said to just use the same needle for filling the syringe and pinning you use the same needle. Is that not the stupidest thing ever? So the 5 3ml syringes with 22 and a half gauge needles I'm supposed to use once a week and 5 is all I need for a months worth and they said I use it to fill the syringe and inject with the same needle. I don't know that sounds kind of stupid. Wouldn't I need to separate needles or is it really safe to use just the one to fill and pin?

dude that is a small amount, get a 1" 23g and put it in your shoulder, look up a video for that, bro shoulder or delt is where it's at, and what the fuck man your doctor should do a tutorial with you
 
I self administer TRT without a prescription. If you're not going through a doctor you just need to GTS. GOOGLE THAT SHIT

yea but he has a TRT dr so wtf man the doc Should show him and he could write a very specific prescription on syringes and needles so he don't have to fuck with them people at the pharm

My doctor hasn't explained shit to me and hasn't talked to me about my prostate, whether or not I want to have kids later or not. I have to bring that up with him because my wife wants to start trying within the next month or so and I've been on TRT since December or 2014 so I want to make sure I'm still fertile.

I just need to go in on Monday for my next injection and ask the nurse to show me how and explain to her my problem because the nurses there are more helpful than the Jew doctor that's never in his office. I apologize about the jew comment.. I don't think I should hold that against him.. but he should be a little more helpful and explain shit to me. Doctors now a days don't give a shit! That's the problem!

You need to look up having kids after trt or steroids. You're going to need HCG and you should probably get the fuck off test. And get a new fucking doctor

It's your life man. You need to do your homework. You don't seem ready to self administer at all. You need to scour and research, not just ask questions on this forum. There are other forums more focused on TRT specifically (this one does address TRT because a lot of us are on TRT), but this forum is not really a TRT forum. Go to ************** Read everything you can. Watch all the videos. When you have a better grasp, you can start self administration. There is always the delima between what insurance will allow, what your doctor will allow. But you need to take ownership of your own health and not be dictated by what insurance will allow. TRT is a life long commitment type decision. All things need to come into account, your current health, your age, and if you still want children. Spending a few minutes at your doctor's office is probably not going to get you all of your answers. The Jew comment........dude........you could have taken it out before you hit send, but instead you commented on your own comment. You gotta do better if we're all going to help you. Help us help you!
 
I have 5 kids. My vas is cut and cauterized. I'm on TRT for life because I want to be. As curiou said, do your own research. You have to take responsibility for your own life.
 
18g can damage the rubber stopper, so use 21 or 23 for pulling. 25 is fine for injecting - many people like 1 inch 25g to inject. You should get one set of 21g needles with syringes and then one set of 25g needles only, since you can replace the needle. I draw in some air into the syringe before swapping needles to make sure I leave no liquid in the needle I am tossing.

It is MUCH cheaper if you buy online (depending on the legality of such things in your area). It cost me $6 for 10 needles and 5 syringes via the pharmacy. You can buy in boxes of 100 online. Just google it, not hard to find. You would want BD 1 inch 21g twist lock with syringe and BD 1 inch 25g twist lock needles without syringe.
 
If you want kids, talk to him about prescribing you HCG. That will keep the boys working while on TRT - it is one of the widely accepted off label uses for HCG.
 
18 for drawing from vial and injection depends on prefered site glutes above 10 percent body fat 23 g inch and half one inch for quads and middle delts for trt this will be sufficent also doc will say too pin once a week but for stable bloods even with cypionate id split dose every 4 days just my 2 cents
