Thursday, Sept. 25 Time (ET)
NY Giants at Washington 8:25 p.m.
The Skins should win this game at home. Their offense is playing well and the Giants don't have much firepower to keep up with them. Its early but this is a must win for both these teams.
Skins 31-20
Sunday, Sept. 28 Time (ET)
Green Bay at Chicago 1 p.m. FOX
The Bears are clearly the better team here but its a division game and the Packers might be due for a sneaky win. I think it will be close but Bears will win.
Bears 28-27
Buffalo at Houston 1 p.m. CBS
The Bills were exposed by the Chargers last week. If you stop their running game and force them to throw then you can stop them cold. Can the Texans pull that off? I think yes at home.
Texans 20-16
Tennessee at Indianapolis 1 p.m. CBS
This is the game the Colts start rolling at home. Jake Locker has played bad and I don't see it changing in this game.
Colts 30-17. LOCK OF THE WEEK
Carolina at Baltimore 1 p.m. CBS
This is the best game of the day. The Ravens are a very good home team so I expect them to have the advantage here. Both these teams can't run the ball well, so it will come down to who runs the ball better.
Ravens 27-21
Detroit at NY Jets 1 p.m. FOX
This game is a coinflip according to oddsmakers because the Lions aren't as good on the road. The Jets are in a bit of a predicament because Geno Smith has killed them the past 2 weeks. I like the Jets zone defense to do a good job against the Lions and frustrate Stafford and cover up Smith's problems.
Jets 17-13
Tampa Bay at Pittsburgh 1 p.m. FOX
I never thought the Bucs would be 0-3 so far this year under Lovie Smith. They have a good front 7 of defense and a good running game that they haven't been able to really get going so far. Do they do it in this game? Yes I think they do. Teams tend to bounce back after horrible games in this league because of parity.
Bucs 17-14 HUGE UNDERDOG UPSET SPECIAL PICK
Miami at Oakland 1 p.m. CBS
The Raiders played in NE last week and now have to play a home game in London. Thats 2 straight weeks on the road which doesn't bode well for their chances. The Dolphins will get back on track here because they match up well vs. Oakland (as does most every other team).
Dolphins 31-14
Jacksonville at San Diego 4:05 p.m. CBS
We will see Bortles finally start a game and that is bad news for the Chargers, although that doesn't mean I expect the Jags to win, I think they put up a fight. The Chargers at home are just too tough for the Jags.
Chargers 28-20
Atlanta at Minnesota 4:25 p.m. FOX
The Vikings aren't the same team since the Peterson scandal broke but the Falcons are coming off a huge game and I suspect they will be somewhat flat. My gut tells me to pick the Vikes in this one but I cannot get over how bad they are playing.
Falcons 21-14
Philadelphia at San Francisco 4:25 p.m. FOX
This is the best game of the late afternoon obviously. I can see the 49ers getting back on track here plus the Eagles are due for a loss. Look for the 49ers defense to make some big plays at home. I believe in Harbaugh as a coach to put together a clutch game plan.
49ers 33-23
New Orleans at Dallas 8:30 p.m. NBC
My gut tells me the Saints will win this game, but my head says they stink on the road. This one is a pure coin flip but I find it more likely the Saints go 2-2 than the Cowboys going 3-1. Everyone assumes it will be a high scoring prime time game, and they would be correct although sometimes these games end up being played weird. Romo throws a late pick in the clutch.
Saints 34-31
Monday, Sept. 29 Time
New England at Kansas City 8:30 p.m. ESPN
The Chiefs game plan was sensational the past two weeks and I think they will be able to play a great game at home in prime time. KC is not an easy place to play especially with night games. The Pats offense just doesn't have any firepower and I think the Chiefs will put a lot of pressure on Brady. Charles may not play, but I like their depth at RB regardless.
Chiefs 27-19
