Been on this stuff regularly for years. (5mg) With the start up of TRT (250mg) a week, should I even need Melatonin. Is there any negative sides with taking it from a stand point of it hurting metabolism or increased cortisol?

not a smart idea to run melatonin for years sorry.

your body needs to produce it on its own, you can accomplish this by simply sticking to a correct sleeping schedule, turning off electronics 2 hours before bed and using blue blockers at night

I'm with Stevesmi, unless the doc says so and you've an actual medical condition why would you be on ANY drug for 5 years?

He said 5mg but anyways,
As far as I know the effects of long-term use have not been studied but I'd still be very careful. Sleep is so vital to your overall well-being and you wouldn't want to f that up.

If you don't even know whether you need it or not why don't you give it a try?

well you def don't want to take a drug for sleep AT ALL. supplements should be taken no more than a few weeks at a time.. you don't just take them for a whole year

even n2sleep says right there on the label to only use for AT MOST 30 days straight. even though it is a supplement you don't want to train your body to depend on anything to sleep plus it covers up poor sleep schedule

Melatonin is a hormone. A lot of people don't realize that because you can legally purchase it over the counter.

You don't want to take melatonin daily because your body will become dependent on it. 3-4 times per week max
