Daily Log 17/3

Wrapped up another PPL split yesterday, so today was rest day. I let myself sleep in and wake up naturally, which honestly felt incredible.

We had a planned power outage on the street, so with no electricity so I fired up the BBQ to cook some chicken for meal prep. Funny how quickly you realise just how much of daily life depends on power like the garage door, kettle, air fryer, oven, air con, every device we use without thinking. Take it away and suddenly you’re living like it’s 1985, that's before I was born so I'm just making an assumption haha.

Because of the late start, I ended up eating both lunch and dinner at work, but everything was prepped ahead so the diet stayed right on track.

Energy levels were back to normal today too. Whatever fatigue hit me yesterday is gone, and I’m feeling refreshed and ready to smash tomorrow morning’s gym session.

Diet

Meal 1: Protein shake and eggs for breakfast
Meal 2: Chicken sandwiches for lunch
Meal 3: Mexican style bowl with Lean beef with potatoes for dinner.
Snack 1: Store bought protein yoghurt in afternoon.
Snack 2: Store bought protein yoghurt in evening with some walnuts.

Macros: 1879 calories - 232g protein - 71g Carbs - 66g fats

Sleep

Woke up naturally with no alarm clock set, feeling refreshed! Event number back down to normal.

@kamsikazee Not hard at all to do food prepping and you're showing it. Chicken is not that difficult if you do it the right way. Salt and pepper does a good job of preserving it for many days. Just make sure you cook it within 24 hours after you buy it.

That's awesome that you are doing great with the sleep. @kamsikazee I guess that CPAP machine really does make a difference.

Love the meal prep brother!

Nothing better than a nice bbq, hows your weightloss been going? When you think you're ready to you should post some new progress pics, would love to see how much you've changed since your last photos!
Thanks brother. I updated my weight on my weekly weigh in on the log for 16/3. Down another 1.9kg for the week, currently at 103.8kg (as of 16/3)

I'm that old that I was around for the 3 day week back in the 70's which included regular power cuts most nights
3 day week sounds good to me, that would leave plenty of time for gym and BBQs!

I do try to buy and cook the chicken fresh on the day of the prep, sometimes they day before at most. I meal prep, refrigerate and place my food in stainless steel/plastic airtight containers.

Thanks brother! It's good to get in some extra steps no doubt! Better then sitting around waiting for my next job, my work isn't physically demanding so it's probably the best way to go about it!

@kamsikazee I like the training overall. Nice job laying out your PEDs. Three milligrams of RETA is a good option. It should lead to some sustained fat loss over time.

Daily Log 18/3

Didn't get as much sleep as planned as my daughter decided to get up super early and come to wake daddy up, she must have known that is what time to get back into the gym! Back in morning for a Push session and 30min of cardio on the treadmill. Pump felt good, energy levels constant throughout the day.

Late shift at work today so we did some shopping with the Wife for some clothes since mine are getting way too loose, and stopped by the butcher on the way back to get some steaks, decided on some nice Sirloin steaks and whipped some up for lunch. They turned out great!

Fairly easy day at work today, so I made use of the free time and got in some extra steps. Macros on point. A good overall day!

Snack 1: Store bought protein yoghurt in afternoon between meal 2 and 3.

Yeah thankfully it wasn't too hot of a day yesterday.

Can't go wrong with a BBQ!

That's exactly how I envisioned it too lmao!
Hopefully the weather starts moderating and do more stuff. It really is nice to have a barbecue, but not when it's like super hot outside, I get it. @kamsikazee

Now that is epic food porn brother 😋 😍.
Your are still doing a fantastic job of constantly doing the same things consistently. This is how real progress is made. Proud of you brother for this commitment to the journey 🩵

I do try to buy and cook the chicken fresh on the day of the prep, sometimes they day before at most. I meal prep, refrigerate and place my food in stainless steel/plastic airtight containers.
yeah storing is important to maximize shelf life. i have a vacuum sealer for fish

Love the way you’re cooking up that steak! Absolutely nailing it, you’re macros show that you don’t have to be sad and miserable to get good macros in on a cut 😃

I like the seated dumbbell raises aswell, I might incorporate those into my next workout. Big weight there aswell 😃
Steak went down so good. I bought a whole slab of sirloin so I'll be smashing them regularly.

I'm actually struggling to increase the calories without adding in junk. Maybe it's the Reta, probably is lol

Do you refrigerate or freeze your fish?
i catch, humanely kill and bleed immediately, then ice. then clean them... then vacuum seal and store in freezer. when i'm going to eat i put in fridge overnight to defrost.

That's awesome bro. Wish I was a good fisherman! I've only been fishing a couple of times. We have the fresh fish markets here and we try to have some fish every week or two but nothing is better than catching it yourself!

Commercial fisherman do a poor job of handling The fish and fish is one of those things where less hands as better.

Target weight: 90kg

I had a late finish for work yesterday evening, but luckily I have 3 days now at home. Still, I had to sacrifice some sleep and get the good stuff done in the morning. A solid pull session with 30min of cardio.

It was a busy day, we will be visiting friends and family and have them coming and going over the next couple of days as it is our cultural time to celebrate. There will be a LOT of temptation in the form of food and sweets so it will be a challenging day or two to behave. I don't plan to over indulge but sometimes the aunties get offended when you turn down food and sweet haha!

Spent most of the day at home, did some cleaning and preparations. Step count was lower than the usual.

Diet

Meal 1: Protein shake and eggs for breakfast
Meal 2: Chicken Sandwiches for lunch
Meal 3: Sirloin steak, potatoes and veges for dinner.
Snack 1: Protein shake in afternoon.
Snack 2: Yoghurt with mixed berries and walnut in the evening.

Yeah those poor fish would be under so much stress until they are put out of there misery being caught by commercial fisherman by being dumped into a pile of other fish and sea creatures. I wonder if that stress causes any negative chemical responses.

correct. i would not buy seafood from anywhere for that reason.

Thanks brother! It's good to get in some extra steps no doubt! Better then sitting around waiting for my next job, my work isn't physically demanding so it's probably the best way to go about it!
Bros, for sure, you can adjust things as you go.

Today was cultural day filled with visiting close family and friends. It was great to go and see family that you don't get to see due to the daily grind of work and life.

I got the day started off right and completed my PPL split with a Leg workout and 30min of treadmill. Didn't get much other excercise in other then the gym session.

The Diet was going to be the biggest challenge, as with visiting family comes with the temptation and pressure from them to eat all the lovely foods, pastries and sweets. We had a family breakfast, but I made my own usual breakfast. I skipped lunch and we had a BBQ at the in laws where I went a little heavy, which was the reason why purposely skipped lunch. I gave into eating dessert, and went with something I could at least track the macros for. Indulged yes but the damage wasn't too bad and hopefully wont derail this weeks progress towards the goal.

Diet

Meal 1: Protein shake and eggs for breakfast
Meal 2: Lamb backstrap, Chicken thigh and Lamb mine (Adana kebab) on the BBQ with some potato salad and dips.
Snack 1: Original glazed doughnut (Krispy Kreme)
Snack 2: Melona Melon icecream

2081 calories isnt that bad for your weight, unless you have some serious metabolic issues you definitely would still be on a caloric deficit.

18.7kg down in 3 months is very very good my bro, you should definitely be proud of yourself.

At that rate in about 2 weeks you will be under 100kg.

Keep it up my bro, amazing work

Good balancing your food for the day man. Its a good thing to learn. You can just guesstimate out of the ordinary foods from events to fit your macros close enough and still enjoy your day. I like it a lot.
Your leg session numbers are going up too which is awesome.
Keep killing brother 🤘

Macros: 2081 calories - 190g protein - 107g Carbs - 89g fats (not 100% accurate, most likely under calculated)

Your day was fine bro, you could say it was a refeed day but you still had a massive deficit even if you under estimated your calories. The outcome of the day was spending a good day with family and still burning some fat! Well done! 👍

I like the fact he can have a donut and still be good on calories and macros. For a normal bloke just trying to be a fit Dad and not a body builder, you aren't going to be eating only broccoli and chicken breast every day. At least he is learning the different calories of "cheat" food. I think the key is learning to be adaptable in your day to day life so you dont have to isolate yourself from things like family gatherings and excusing yourself to eat your own separate meals.
I can understand trying to manipulate everything to perfect conditions for your goal while prepping for a bodybuilding show and having low single digit BF%. But in this case as long as you are still tracking everything and not just eating a donut and saying "fuck it, I've broken my perfect diet so screw the rest of the day" I personally think its fine.

Tldr: have the 🍩 track it with the rest of your food. Stay within your macros. Don't let a "diet" define you or isolate you from everyone in your life.

IIFYM is not the right way to go, macros and foods different. Donut vs chicken breast is different, but I do understand you and agree he does need some days off from the grind :D @theJimJim EVO family respect! as long as it doesnt become habitual and ed.

This is so true, where as in the past I would have done exactly that where going off track with a bad meal would have ended with continuing to eat like you are making up for lost time because the "damage was already done".

I absolutely agree with you @LevButlerov it was more so just damage control on cheat day. I won't make a habit of it!

less on walking today :D but consider it a light day, clean food!

Yes, i've been going down the rabbit hole of peptides which is what sparked my interest initially before finding EVO and its just amazing what is out there!
Yeah it's amazing. The peptides, the more the man there is, the more they'll come up with different ones.

What are your thoughts on the one's you have taken?
Mots - C I’m only on a small dose 2mg a day. And I think I feel it but it feels minimal. Only just started tbh. NAD+ seems to give a good strong sustained energy.

Cjc/ipa - noticeable shortened recovery time for sure. I think it’s good, but for the price just get hgh really, much better results there. Cjc/IPA is less effective the older you are aswell.

I only used bpc157 in a klow blend. It worked really well in a minor strain in my right elbow. But whether or not it was. Synergistic effect or a different peptide in the mix i wouldn’t know.

Nice updates bro and great job upping the weights on bench press you're pushing yourself and that's inspiring to see along with the weight loss! I'm glad the Reta is working for you and your meals are really healthy looking and colorful too!!

I'm an open book brother. Better to be transparent so we can see where things are going right and what needs to be improved.
Love this! It will serve you well in your log bro.

Haha bro that's hardcore! You always taking everything to the next level... Love it

Its working great for me! Been emptying out the trash regularly. Something that was lacking before!
Yes I've been told, it's in my nature LOL. You empty out that trash :p

I have been working later shifts and for some reason it's the night time that I get these cravings for sweets/snacks.
This is what gets me is the night cravings, since I've removed a lot of my night meds and increased my Reta I've been pretty good though.

Yeah bro that was the same for me these last few weeks I had slight cravings kicking in and once I confirmed it over the course of a couple weeks I decided to up my dosage from 2mg - 3mg
You increased the proper way @Yeahnah, didn't go all in too fast.

I know brother I have trying to contain myself but I am so excited haha. You have played a massive part in me being able to achieve it and for that I am super grateful 🙏🩵
EVO support to you bro! Let's keep going.

There will be a LOT of temptation in the form of food and sweets so it will be a challenging day or two to behave. I don't plan to over indulge but sometimes the aunties get offended when you turn down food and sweet haha!
You thought ahead

I gave into eating dessert, and went with something I could at least track the macros for.
Great job!

For a normal bloke just trying to be a fit Dad and not a body builder
Very good point @theJimJim and EVO is here for all! I'm betting over time we see it get easier and easier to avoid almost altogether as the habit of doing so gets locked in over time

I am forever looking into them. But a few im looking at closely are Mots-C, CJC/IPA or Tesamorelin, BPC157 and Thymosine Alpha 1
Bro let's talk peps! Those are some good ones. They is like 100 of them so dive right in and learn, they're fun!
DM me or let's get a chat going on here about them.

Awesome! I’ve used three of them and talked a lot with @HarleyGuy about what to use and how to run them.

Apart from Reta/Tirz and it’s not a peptide but NAD+ is my fav.
Thanks for the tag @jenkemj and I was very happy to help. We got it figured out and there's so many more in our toolbox too when needed!

Thanks bro! Pineapple sounds good too!
I can attest to pineapple! Great digestive. @ROIDDERS got me onto this!

I'll definitely be taking you up on your offer. I just had a quick through one of those threads, wow some great detailed information. I'll have to have a proper read when I get time after work.
This is what gets me is the night cravings, since I've removed a lot of my night meds and increased my Reta I've been pretty good though.
Yeah I'm good until late night especially when working late. I've been on 3mg Reta for a while now. Might give it another week before looking at upping the dose.
can attest to pineapple! Great digestive. @ROIDDERS got me onto this!
I'll have to get my hands on some pineapple!

Bro I’m always jealous of your meals haha they look prime!

Just going from my personal opinion & experience man about your talk above with different peps.

I have just had another body scan done & this is within a 4 week timeframe and my visceral fat has reduced 3 points & I have some photos to compare my 4 week difference in the lower belly section is night and day difference and I haven’t even been on Tesamorelin for the whole 4 weeks yet. I think that would be a good one for you to look into imo. I definitely rate it & recovery rate from gym has improved also. Looks like u have the sleep nailed but for some people tesa can improve sleep quality also. (That’s hasn’t been the case for me) lol

Most of the IGF1 raising peptides, I would say... just run HGH instead. Some good sources on here for it. You are a good age to try it. And its not like testosterone shutting you down crazy for a long period. Natural growth hormone kicks back into action quite quickly. But that is just a suggestion and purely for information.

Yeah that's the my main reason for wanting to add them to the stack. Its just the initial water retention that makes me hesitant, it will stall my weightloss progress. I plan to get a Dexa scan done so I can see the visceral fat levels.

Yeah I've been reading into both pro/cons of running either the GHRH and GH. Seems there is less risk and downside in the IGF even though they are less effective, and that's why I'm leaning more towards them. My goal really is to try and minimise the visceral fat levels for my cardiovascular health.

Yeah bro so I am holding an additional 2.1L since adding the tesa in this 4 week timeframe. Mentally it sucked cause all I saw was a stall but now after seeing my results on the scan with fat loss and visceral fat it’s well worth it imo + it’s just water at the end of the day and it’ll go once ya get off it.

I am very pro HGH, been on it for a while and absolutely love it (low dose about 1.5IU/day)

Doesn't the water weight go away after a while even if your still on it? And yeah the results from the scans tell you all you need to know, if its working its good. It's FDA approved for that exact reason too.

Business as usual today, got into the gym nice and early. Got in a Pull session and followed up 40min on the treadmill. It took me a little bit to get going in the gym but felt fine after I was done after the assisted pull ups!

Did plenty of walking throughout the day and got some good amount of steps in at work. Right ankle is feeling a little sore but shouldn't be too big of a concern hopefully. Leg day tomorrow and back to playing soccer in the evening!

Diet was good again today. Energy levels good.

Weekly weight in and good to see the number on the scale still going down, but no where near as much weight loss as the last few weeks, but we are heading in the right direction, and need to be happy with that considering the little cheat days in the past week.
