Hmm i just looked it up, i guess ohip only covers shbg if test is borderline unless doc notes theres symptoms. I actually never bothered with shbg for my baseline because i thought id have to pay out of pocket.

you can probably get teletest doctor to sign off that you have symptoms like low libido or fatigue etc. ohip should cover then.

I always have to pay for my SHBG testing. Last time at lifelabs I paid $60

This is good, as with my last test they didn't do all tests as I haven't met a threshold, so at least this is an option.

They do offer testosterone directly but it doesn’t include E2.

Worth a go then you could always just not pay and they won't do the test.

Fun fact I just learned, lifelabs in Ontario doesn't have LCMS estrogen testing. My doc says dynacare used too but he hasn't seen one in a while so he's not positive

Nope. Also 1 of my seizure meds, lifelabs redirects to 1 of 2 labs in Ontario and surrounding provinces.

I suppose theres something somewhere that states they outsource when they cant test for it themselves. But yeah my neuro explained the reason it takes 2 weeks to test my lamotrigine is they have to redirect it to another lab and then its on her to hound them for results because lifelabs is too lazy to update my results.

Oh, not really. I couldnt care less, but some health data is sent international like with Cystatin-C. Name, dob, test type, colkection date/info, internal test id #. The intl. labs for outsourcing must meet canadian privacy standard laws.

Domestic referred labs are bound by PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act) as well, like any company involved in health care.

Lifelabs did have a major data breach not long ago too. Itveffected 15m canaduans, so 36% of the population. Lol

I just ordered a set of bloodwork from teletest for my week 6 bloodwork. From the time I filled out the questionnaire to having the doctors blood requisition form was 24 minutes, and this was done after 5pm PST. Pretty impressive.

I see I wasnt aware of the breach of privacy there, we dont have that here with private bloods

And I’ve been unlucky with not being able to get sensitive e2 test done here (not sure if they even do tests for that here).

I live in the lower mainland and they exclusively use LifeLabs and not dynacare. I know up north they got Dynacare and as far as I’m aware they test exact total T/Free T/sensitive e2.

Only Dynacare will go all the way to infinity with their numbers. Every other lab in Canada I'm aware of caps out.

Here were my numbers with Dynacare so you can see how high they go with their results. Unfortunately brother I think you might be cooked. And I agree Lifelabs and all the others I know of do suck.

They only ideas i came up with for @wye to try out were to have your doctor write either "total testosterone LC/MS" or "High Sensitive Assay / No Upper Reporting Limit".

I think the hospitals will report full numbers but youd have to call and see if theyll take a teletest req first. So call around i suppose.

My doc told me some provinces have the sensitive e2 testing at lifelabs. I remember he said Quebec for sure, but I can't remember if BC was on the list.

Lifelabs does their e2 testing a bit different than others tho so the standard test is slightly more accurate.

I think the free test tops at 1800. I know last time I was over but we could calculate using my test and shbg numbers and I was at 1920.

Looks like you might have to drive to the lower mainland if you really want the tests you're after tho unfortunately.

This was from biogenix Test E bought literally 5 days before they closed down. Took it 2 weeks after low T from Pur’s March/April batch and felt amazing (75mg EOD, 262.5mg/week. The PIP however was the absolute worst but because I’ve been with hypogonadal T for 2 months to that point I didn’t even care.

Fasted insulin is high presumably because I ate a nice carb loaded breakfast before the lab work.

I wish I could make logs here but I’m dealing with a stalker crazy ex who’s made my life miserable and I’m trying to lay low on my digital footprint (she knows every site I’m on and probably will see this now). She will literally know what gym I’m at based off the equipment and machines + routine I use and do. It’s that bad.

estrogen is way too high but test levels are good too for the pur batch @pur-pharma-canada @HarleyGuy but not good on the PIP
