If you were asking for pics of the set ups in general, well perfect timing because I wanted to bring them up for some, or shit if interested in a peristaltic set up I've got a a DIY set up written up with the list of parts, links to purchase them, and the plans of how to simply toss it together, its pretty legit id have to say, even know im confident with my set up, wouldn't change a thing, for the price, its def worth the fun..all in all, the entire set up will end up costing you just around $40.... thats pump, controller board, converter, the whole dam thing.. $40...but that's a different story, pm me on that if your interested, but @ GENOMEX yea to answer your question no not porcelain bud, but hey if your running glass where do you pick up your papers? 47mm? what filters have you tried as far as brands? I've always stuck with Omnipore and Whatmans for everyone preaches that's a must, but lately i've been reconsidering some of the generics that are literally 1/4 price man, realistically they have to stand up to the same testing standards, and the fact that its a product that's sole purpose is to ensure filtration, I cant imagine them not.. way to much of a liability... and what sucks is the fact that again, here we'd only find out if they were good or not by getting fucked up. Anyhow, since this dude just asked to see what this filtration device that someone mentioned looks like, here's also something I think many of you will find to be pretty useful, I thought I'd share it because sadly there's so many jokers on this thread that don't deserve shit like myself right...or rather don't need shit actually but forget that bull shit, sorry---
until now I have yet to see this dam piece, but wished of something like it. I know many of you will find it to be a rather useful addition for subtraction.. to your means of filtration and sanitary conditions.
So those who use a filtration apparatus that's not syringe filter or the one time use bottle top's, or peristaltic obviously but use an all glass, then you know, most use a Erlenmeyer receiver that collects our filtrate... then, from that point, well everyone does there own thing, whether you've already set it aside for a few days prior to filtering to test it, perhaps just leaving it in its beaker covered..but with the many different options of what people may have with the in between process of confirming your gears going to hold, how its stored, filtered, and vialed.. all obviously is application dependent..I like to draw my gear from a media storage bottle that's sealed with a open silicone septa top...draw out, vial up, with no air contact. Well, some of you may have already seen this little adapter for exactly this, if so great... if not, well check it out.. another step closer to more sanitary means of home brewing...If your running a buchner filtration like this one:

I use those ones.. def. quality I've dropped the filter holders actually twice now and the quality prevailed..but not cheap at all.. but you don't need brand name shit, I got a crazy deal on a set that's the only reason but, there no different then the Chinese ones I have that are PTFE faced..priced at about 1/4 of Milli, so on a filtration flask with its side arm conical set up looks something like this more or less obviously..

well even know I've got an autoclave, it doesn't matter, ill never have the environment, so this guy:
Is what I'm talking about.... no more Erlenmeyer receiver flask... cutting that out of the process, screw that onto any GL-45 threaded media bottle, stick your buchner through the top, pour the gear in from your beaker and filter straight into the media bottle... when done, remove it and replace it with either your dispensers if your all fancy like some of you are, or just replace it with your silicone septa cap, and its GTG. Keep in mind this is if you already have a glass buchner that doesn't have a conical arm built into the glass base of the buchner... its on the flask, so all said and done :

I saw this and thought hell yea... that's exactly what I've needed... rather then replacing the bases with ones that have the side arm, each about $250-300, all you'd need is this..
but obviously, like I mentioned if you have a buchner where the base has a side arm built in, then that would have made life a lot easier.. all you need is the GL-45 open cap with its rubber insert and your gtg like below..

Anyhow if you were thinking of picking up a set up, this could help show you some options, and also of leaving out the flask.. cheers brotha's hope this helps avoid yet another... fucked up life living with an abscess.
