Sauna suits for cardio.

ANy of you guys use sauna suits for cardio other than competitors?
My buddy claims it helps him detoxify his body after a weekend of drinks if he does a run on Monday with that suit on. Any true to this?

I have tried those things and hated them, I rather sit and chill in a sauna or run in my shorts feeling fresh.

Using a sauna suit when hung over is a TERRIBLE idea. The symptoms you feel as a hang over are the result of dehydrated and electrolyte imbalance from the previous night's drinking. Sitting in a sauna, especially in a sauna suit, will only make the problems and symptoms much worse.

I think saunas are great for detoxifying the body but I don't see why a sauna suit is needed. Just sit in the sauna naked. You want to let your skin breath so it can eliminate toxins as well. Remember that our skin is our bodies biggest organ.

Remember to hydrate before/after sauna use. It's great for rest days.

Your buddy could not be any more wrong lol. Like seriously probably the worst possible idea.

Well yiur buddy is a moron. I wouldn't take any fitness advice from someone who chose to wear a condom to help minimize and cleanse the damage he did from that weekend.

Remember, it is not only about sweating - it is also about letting the sweat go away, and not get absorbed right back, as it happens in a sauna suit. Better go to a real sauna for this purpose.

it makes you sweat.. its not rocket sciene. anything sweating a ton will do, a sauna suit will do. which of course is releasing some toxins through the sweat pores
