Primo Cycle Update

I saw a guy in my age range post about his planned primo cycle. I promised I would provide updates.

Ending Week 2 of planned 20 week cycle:
Test-C 450mg
Primo 800mg (going to 600mg starting in week 4)
Mast 400 mg
Anavar 100mg (two more weeks of this)
Oh... and I am in week 24 of 5 iu HGH.

Yes I know it is expensive but I am old so what the hell...

Started at the bottom of a cut program at 181. Two weeks in...

192... strength climbing like crazy... veins popping. I am at net caolry positive for now... 3400 to 3600 clean per day.

Posting a pic from my 1986 GA CHAMPIONSHIP 3rd place... I weighed 159 (natty I promise... I have good genes and trained my legs like Tom Platz)... and a pic from 4 weeks ago (12 weeks post cycle). I am gunning for a Masters show in summer of 2016... I would like to come in cut at 185 to 190.

Did I mention I love this forum!

It is the real deal too... I have to take some pot. Gluc. to keep the cramps away but daaaamn... strong... triceps and back... my strong suit... scare people away in the gym when I am hitting it right now... stacks at push downs.... and back work is insane. Sunday is my serious leg day... 6 sets 20 reps at the squat rack... that will tell me how far I am coming!

Thats crazy.. Sounds like you know what your doing. I wouldn't be able walk at that dose lol.
 
NY Rebel, I value your opinion... you talking the var dose? or something else in the run?

Just the var.. I've only been able run good var 50mg.. And I couldn't cardio pumps are so strong. I like the cycle Layout brotha
 
At 50 var i get strong... 75 I get really strong... 100 var I am a holy terror. So long as I remember to protect the critical joints... for me that is shoulders (multiple tears from dirt bike crashes) and upper hammies that get stretched all too easy.

Proof as you get older you can still look like a baddass solid work bro. If you don't might me asking which lab are you using for your primo. In jan. Im going to use primo for the first time and robo seems the way to go? Also that var dose is high have you always run it that high?

Yea robo primo is the way to go, and start low with your var.. Taper up if need be... But stay smart...Cheers bud

That said, what is the harm for a 40+ running his first cycle to do 20 Ml Test E with 10ml (or less) primo (provided that all other liver and PCT guards are in place?)?

Because I want to look like that guy ^^ and yes, assume all gear would be Robo.

How do you plan on dieting for your shows?


Happy to do it. I am running fairly clean with what I call cheat meals not days. In my cheat meals I will eat anything I want to eat. Otherwise I stay 25% carbs - 45% protein - 30% fats. Fats via nuts, coconut oils, almond milk, red meat 3x to 5x per week. No breads... no simple sugars of any kind... ever. And I confess I do like a diet pepsi so I will have one maybe once a week.

Workouts: I have to watch a couple of things at my age... multiple rotator cuff tears - pulling lifts are not a problem but pushing lifts mean I have to lose the ego when doing shoulder or chest press work... To compensate I can do heavy shrugs, lots of additional trap work and a focus on posterior delts. More generally I strive to hit each body part 3x in 14 days. I mix and match but I tend to do legs all by themselves because I do high rep sets of squats; Back work I will do alone, or with triceps or traps. Chest is usually with biceps or posterior delts.

Typical leg day: 5 sets leg curls all varieties; 6 sets by 20 reps with 225 to 275 squats (I could go heavier but I am looking for deep cuts as my size is genetic); 5 sets by 40 reps leg extensions (super intense) then I finish off with reverse grip free bar hack squats with my heels on two 45 pound plates stacked.

Typical back day all the usual work/lifts at around a 30 set total. Again, pulling is easy for me so back day I lift very heavy.

Triceps are brutishly strong so I hit them with very heavy weights... all angles and always finish with very slow rope push downs with my hands turned out at the bottom to emphasize medial areas. Lots of extension type work as it suits me, feels good, and does not have a negative impact on my shoulders.

Biceps - Mix and match... a lot of very heavy concentration curls face first on incline bench... 5 sets by 60 lb dumbbells... 8 to 12 reps. Reverse preacher bench with bar... etc. I do like cheating long bar curls but keep it under 135 to protect my right shoulder.

I have natural calves so I let squat day take care of them.

Update at the END of week 2... I have been doing Mast-E. I picked up some Mast-P. Did it today. OMG! Like wow. I will be adding that in every other Mast day from now on!!!!!!!

Leg day. I did 6 sets of 20 at the squat rack with 225... butt to floor... then 6 sets inverted leg presses with eight 45 lb plates for 8 sets each.. then I did leg extensions to exhaustion ten sets. Then I floated in my pool for 2 hours because I could not walk. I started two weeks ago at 181 ish. I am now at 194. I am angling for 205 to 210 before I turn to a deficit. I have cut my cardio work down to slow the calorie burn of late. Will pick it up at week 6. Vascularity missing of late probably due to the higher dose (8iu) of hgh but I expect at week 6 Primo and Mast to over take it along with my planned move to a slight calorie deficit (with exception to protein at 300g per day). Happy Lifting EVO!

Really glad I came across this thread. A huge inspiration - those doses are far beyond what I could run but I'm just a youngin' - welcome!
 
Soma... Pharma grade. 5IU is perfect. More and I get a little headache. I will cut it to three in a couple of months and then maintenance at 2.5 longer term. I am all set for about a 1.5 year run on it.

Just saw your question. Lab is none from here. I would at some point like to hook up with good sources here. As for VAR doses... in the old days we followed the stupid pyramid protocol.. from Muscle Beach where My trainer got his training. So 5mg for a week, 10mg for a week, and so on. In the past few cycles, I ran 50 var at the front and 50 Winni at the back. The winni makes me hard as hell and really vascular but can hit my joints a bit... particularly my tender shoulders.... I have learned var is my secret weapon. It makes me strong as hell. Deca does too and picks up my endurance beyond belief but deca has its "issues". Hope this helps a little.

Remember I am old school chemist.... learned from the guys that medicated Arnold and Franco so I have had to catch up with the times...and as I have progressed my patience increased which opens the door to more interesting cycles.... where I do not demand instant results.

I know... I was cutting and hit 179 and did not like the mass loss. I have already been on stage super cut below 170.... want to be cut and larger so I took a cycle time off, heading back up to see if I can cut again but shred in the 180s range.... at 5'8" I want some size along with cuts. Thanks for the feedback!
 
Update.... mid-week 3.... dropped var to 50... one more week... tipped in at 196. A little smooth but strong as ####. Debating adding Eq. I will let you know.

I had heard primo might have some healing properties and my shoulder seems to bear this out.

Sorry I missed my week 3 pics today. The room I use at the gym was full of jumping people doing that goofy aerobic thing.... I will hit some by Wed. This week... I promise.

I am ending week 3. My strength is superb. My minor aches and pains that come with being a 54 year old BB seem to be minimal... I think the 25th week of Soma is really paying dividends. I have altered my cycle ever so slightly so that i am hitting 200mg primo EOD... this is getting me closer to 800 a week. I am really strong. Vascular. No sides. No bad attitude. No estrogen problems but the Mast is key there. Loving the smoothness of this cycle. I think i could drop the Test-C to 150 and be just as satisfied.


Cycle looks like this now:

Primo 200mg EOD
Mast E 200mg 2x week
Mast-P 150 1x per week.
Test-C 150 2x per week
5 iu soma.
Var down to 50 for week 4 then it goes away.

I started this at 182 cut after a 9 day layoff (I had hit it hard for 6 months with one long cycle of C and Deca).
I am now at about 196 ish. I really would like to hold my waist to 31" like it is and hit close to between 205 and 210. If I could do that mid-cycle (I have 17 weeks to go) I would then flip to a slightly lower caloric intake to see just how hard I can get. My goal is to finish this run... take a short breather except for the soma and hit the very same one again in March... landing in June to hit my Masters show... I plan on celebrating my 30th year since the GA BB championships walking onto a stage at a shredded 185 to 190. Possible but challenging.

Diet... 3500 cals per day... dayum I eat all the freaking time.

300g Protein per day... 100 via supplemental drinks and the rest via real food.

Next three today... 198 pounds... starting week 4. Of course I am not as lean as I intend to be but I am seeking some mass in the early part of the cycle via higher caloric intake. The most recent pics are just so so... I made the housewife and mother of 3 in the gym nervous when I asked her to snap these... LOL. No leg shots but they are coming along nicely... I promise.

Ahnold! This is a planned 20 week run. I will settle off to my HGH. Take not 20 off but ten... then same run again but less caloric intake as I am aiming to July Masters show. And yes I tend to cruise but oddly enough I can run 150 or so Test-C and continue to produce natural test at some levels... Again I don't recommend this or not.. I have learned my body over the years.

Don't be my man. One thing I learned a long time ago and the Iron Guru Vince Gironda said it best... the first thing you have to have is the right genetics. I am blessed in that regard. In most areas. One place I will never be a monster is big peaked biceps... my insertions and attachments of ligaments are all wrong... so I make up for it in my triceps, legs, etc. Keep the faith and train YOUR body!
 
Quick update... rounding the corner at week 4. Strength superb! It is not off the charts at least in my mind but I did legs today and was really solid. When I do back work people stare... so I must be stronger than I think... LOL. Weight hovering around 196. My joints have really solidified... I had a tweaked hammie for months and a long term right shoulder issues... both have all but disappeared. I am thinking the 26 weeks or so on Soma have begun to pay dividends. I also think the primo is helping some... I had heard that primo can.. in some cases... do cool things with tender joints.

I have modified the run a tad. I was doing 550 mast... 400 mast e and 150 mast p and 450 test c and 800 primo... and 5 iu soma... and had dropped to 50 var but the 4 week kick start ended so I am done with the var....

I am staying so damn pumped and hard that it is interfering with my bicep training so.. and I want to back the test down due to sides....

For the next two weeks I will run:

150 Test C
800 primo
200 Mast E
200 Mast P
5iu soma.

My goals remain lean retained mass... I am at 196 steady with no increase in my waist from my starting weight of 182. I would really like to see if I can hit 205 ish before the end of this 20 week cycle... As i stated my goal is this 20 week run.. break... pct and 20 more weeks... pct then showtime heading into summer... masters... I am 54 so... I want to angle for shredded 185...

I will update pics after week 6.
 
sounds good bro, you lost me a little there with the weight, but cutting down on the next 20 wk run you will look reediculous shredded at around 185 awesome lol.
 
Sorry Ski I can be obtuse sometimes. Here is the weight run:

1. 4 weeks ago - Start of cycle...I was 182

2. Today 196. (end of week 4)

3. Goal 205 solid in 16 weeks. (20 total weeks). The primo and HGH seem to be helping with mass gain whilst maintaining good bf %.

4. Take PCT and time off from cycle but remain on the soma.

5. Start another 20 week run virtually identical to this one. Obviously I won't know my starting weight until then.

6. My long term goal is to hit the masters stage in summer '16 a cut 185 to 190. Last time I shredded I was 176 (six months ago). So essentially I am looking for 14 pounds lean mass with the current 20 week cycle plus the run in 2016.

FWIW this summer will be the 30th anniversary of my walking onto the GA Bodybuilding Championship Stage in Atlanta at the World Congress Center - thus the significance of this summer to me.
 
I am two days away from ending week 5. Strength has gone off the charts... SO the stack is kicking in and my joints are more than awesome! I train mostly covered (old school). Folks watch me popping 405 at the bent over rows and stare. Veins coming out like a river with tributaries. Weight just a little over 201. (I started cycle at 181 ish) Big as hell... waist still 31"

You have to wait until the end of week six for updated pics though...LOL.

Current cycle list:
Primo 200mg eod (works out to just under or over 800 mg ew)
Mast E 400 2x week
Mast P 150 ew
Test C 300 Ew (with the 2x Mast pins)

Half way through week 6. Regimen tweak:

Primo 200 eod
Mast E 2x week
Mast P 1x per week (in between Mast E days)
Test c 300 but dropping a little

I am not blazing a hot trail just yet but strength is solid. Size gains are solid with weight holding nice and steady. Eating good. Started at 181 pounds. Now at 195 ish.
Happy with how I feel. Love feeling good on cycle. Joints good. Strong. For 54 I am loving this run. Not super shredded because goals were to grow a bit but stay solid physically. It appears to be working.

The short answer is I like to pin so rather than 4cc of oil twice a week....

It is depot. remember 200mg is 2 ccs. Primo is almost always 100mg per cc due to its molecular weight... Hence its cost. 200mg eod gets me damn close to 800 a week.

With the mast at 1.5 0r 2ccs that is a lot to push at once (if I did mast and primo same day) so I alternate days between primo and mast. I load my test on the mast days in the same tube.

Essentially I am pushing 2 cc of oil per day 7 days a week... for a planned 20 week cycle... Plus 4 IUs of HGH soma ed.

On the primo days I usually pin it twice (half in one spot and half in the other... say quads or delts.... I know I can push 2 to 3 ccs in quads but I like to spread the love around... LOL I prefer delts and quads and do glutes only on their rotation because I want to spare my faves (delts and glutes) and give thema break... hate pinning glutes...

I am certainly open to alternatives as I am no Einstein...... Arnold pinned 100mg of primo ed. Very long term....I could go that route but then I would have to tweak my patterns just a bit.
 
Looking good dude. Holding that waist line well. When did you notice your gear hitting in? Im on primo npp and test with an AI. Just starting to feel a little after 8 days.

Really, with the Var kickstart I got strong fast.... primo and mast relaly just starting kicking hard. Vascularity coming nicely. And yeah I have help my waist to within a half inch of where is was when I started at 182. That was a key goal... grow but but in the mid section.

A little more than halfway through week seven. Current run:

200 Test C EW
4iu HGH Soma ed

I had to drop HGH to 4 from 5 to modify a couple of sides... it worked. Happy now.
Strong. Getting vascular. Endurance high.
Pulled the diet in a little from 3500 to 2750. Weight down from a high of 196 to 188... Feel really good... shoulders popped out. Love the shaping from the primo and mast. I posted pics last week so all will have to wait another two weeks... I want to unveil the new structure at week 10... to get people's thoughts. Love this run!

What does Anavar do to/for your joints that have previous injuries?
 
Var is a kick start for me... I am at week 9.... been off Var for five weeks... but.... to your point I find it makes me strong and so long as I manage the lifts to match old joint issues I get along just fine! Mainly I watch my pushing lifts on chest day... but now deep into the primo run it is not a problem... that and 22 weeks of soma.
