so I suppose now anyone who gets suspended by the NFL can just take it to federal court and get it overturned now? that is a bad precedent.
I think its interesting you got 2 Steelers who won't be playing next week against the Pats for smoking a weed, but Brady who destroyed his phone and lied to the commissioners face has zero punishment.

he is the best ever, yes I will say it. he doesn't have the most talent ever.. but he has the intangibles and the cajones where he is the best ever. he finds a way to get the job done with inferior talent, his WR's (aside from Gronk) are garbage. hence why I want his ass suspended

Coworker to me today that now the NFL has the opportunity to appeal it in federal court. The appeal could also keep him away from playing week 1. Don't know if that is entirely true but the saga might not be over yet... Btw I think Montana is the greatest ever lol

So my family is from Boston, I follow all their sports teams and I've I've religiously followed this story. I've read the wells report, the wells report in context, goodells statement on upholding the punishment. At the time 2 Steelers got caught smoking weed, one is now a patriot (Blount) and he will be sitting for first game. What evidence is there brady lied to the commisioner? Yes brady destroyed or disposed of his phone, did you know he also gave phone records to wells? Wells report states brady, belichick, and Kraft ALL cooperated in the investigation.

Goodell just said he's appealing. They're They're taking it to the second ring of courts. However it's very hard to over turn another judges decision. This wouldn't hold Tom out from playing because of right now the judgement has been overruled.
if its appealed then he could still get suspended and it could end of season or during playoffs.

Man you know Tom gets that special treatment going all the way back to the damn Tuck rule! Can't deny that he's one of the best ever but I wonder how much that has to do with the system that he plays in too.

Drew Bledsoe was 5-11 under that system Brady's rookie year.
next year when he gets injured Brady steps in and they go 11-5 with the same level of talent. the guy has a special gift.
Bledsoe on paper was more talented than brady.. #1 pick in draft vs. 6th round pick.. but it didn't make him a better QB

When did he accept a one game suspension? Pretty sure he just beat the nfl and has 0 games. I've read he'd be willing to take a one game because he could have cooperated BETTER with handing the phone over before getting rid of it, even tho he did give wells records of his phone.
it's innocent until proven guilty. He wasn't proved guilty. It's what this entire country government Is based on. As jacked up the system is... This is supposedly letting air out of a ball.. 'more likely then not' and 'generally aware'. This isn't bebeating your girlffriend or hitting your son with a stick.

LOL. Yeah, I can't argue with that. I always forget that he took over for Drew. Brady still plays like he's pissed about being drafted in the 6th too. Gotta respect his sustained drive to win with all the success he's had.

Completely agree with you here, even if he did do it (just hypothetically speaking) he doesn't deserve the same penalty as someone who beat up his gf or wife, or somebody that gets a DUI. It was thrown way overboard from the start and handled poorly. Typical goodell

the judge asked both sides to come to an agreement. brady was willing to accept 1 game and admit to tampering with evidence, but not admit any wrong doing. he is more worried about his legacy.
He needs to be gone!

cheating in sports does not fly. getting an advantage over your opponent is bullshit, especially when fans like me shell out big bucks for jersey's, tickets, parking, etc. we want to see a fair game. if you beat us fair and square then great, but beating us by cheating is bullshit.
someone getting a DUI or smoking weed gives you no advantage on the field is my argument.
you can deny it all day and night but Brady and the pats have been caught cheating over and over again. they are the Cheatriots.

Brady has never been caught cheating. His coach has, for stealing signs with a camera being in the wrong place. Not for stealing signs, but for the camera not being where it should be. Brady wasn't apart of that. Show me the proof then of brady cheating. Have you read the wells report? You sound convinced he did it so if you can, show me.

Yeah 4-5 years he'll retire. His numbers aren't going down, he's only been injured once. I don't know why you spent money on suh. it's an offense driven league, you have a middle of the pack quarterback at best. Suh is a punk.

and you are right.. its a passing league now.. and if you can't get to the QB you are fucked. that's why guys who can get after the QB are getting paid 12M a year. Suh can go after QB's and stop the run and will command double teams. the Lions were the #2 defense last year for a reason

comparing Suh to Watt is like comparing a TE to a WR
they play two totally different positions. Suh never put up more than 8 sacks in a season. not really his job, but he had more QB hits than any other DT the past 5 years.. his teams also were routinely top 5 in run defense

I remember in the early 90's when the pats were winning 1 or 2 games a year their stadium would be empty and I didn't hear of a single fan. now everyone is a fan, funny how that bandwagon mentality works. its almost as bad as Cowboys and Steeler fans who grew up during the 70's .. my neighbor was a steeler fan, had a flag outside, bought the Sunday Ticket to watch all their games.. so I assumed he was from Pittsburgh and he was like "nah i'm from jersey".. i'm like okay?
is that how it works you just pick a team that wins and follow them? if that is the case fuck it, I'm gonna turn into a Pats, Blackhawks, and Warriors fan
I'm sure there are SOME diehard fans but give me a break.. lets say you were really a Pats fan through all the ups and downs. that beatdown agains the bears in the super bowl.. those 1 and 2 win seasons during the early 90's.. you have to be pissed off at all these clowns all over the net. my view is you get 1 team per sport to root for, and that's it.. if you change teams during your life then you aren't a real fan in my mind
