Looking for a Beta-Alanine Review

Guys,

I am looking for a beta-alanine review other than the stock 'it makes my face tingle' crap that is all over the internet.

I searched all the threads on this site but didn't really find anybody talking specifically about the real world results they experienced from the use of beta-alanine.

Who has used it and what results did you see? Is it something that you continue to use?

Thanks for any feedback that you have to offer.

Beta-alanine is the building block of carnosine, a molecule that helps buffer acid in muscle. By buffering acid in muscles, it can help increase endurance and strength. Carnosine also has antioxidant properties.

The standard recommended dosage is 2-5g, taken pre-workout. It is commonly stacked with creatine.

Don't expect dramatic results from it as it isn't a hormone but it's a good supplement to take. It's pretty much side effect free. It isn't a hormone or a stimulant so you don't have to cycle it. I would take 2-5g with 5g creatine 30-60 minutes before your workout.

I have used it with creatine in the past with success. I feel that creatine is more effective of the two so I personally just use creatine now to save money. If you have a little extra money to spend, throwing beta alanine into your pre-workout stack certainly won't hurt.

Beta-alanine definitely does give you that face tingling sensation but it also helps with muscle fatigue. You'll see it used in a lot of pre workout supplements for this. Beta-alanine is also a very well documented endurance booster. It will give you a nice boost for your workouts. I don't buy my beta separately i just buy my pre-workout cause there is already a good dosage of beta in there for me. Its something i look for when looking at pre workouts so i definitely will continue using it.

I use Beta-Alanine almost every day, and I also Stack it with a few more Items.

For me Personally, it really helps when I'm Sore from Previous Workouts, cause I'm Old School.

And I take my Workouts to the Wall every time, so I get alot of Lactic Acid Buildup.

I should mention that I take only Pharma-Grade Beta-Alanine, I buy it by itself, and then create my Preworkout....................... JP
P.S.
I only ever need 2 Grams, which is the Serving Size.
I couldn't even Imagine doing 5 grams.
The Top of my Head would come off.
2 Grams gives me Head Rushes galore when I take it with a Cup of Black Coffee.

It really helps with lactic acid buildup. That is the main reason I would take it. I have used it with plenty of pre workouts in the past but I don't use those any more. Right now all I use is a good pre workout meal and creatine around training. I think it is a nice supplement to add for sure.

if it helps with soreness then i would use it for sure. I have never found anything in my life to help with soreness as much as getting in a good nights rest. to me if you do not sleep well, then you can take all the magic supplements you want and you will be falling way behind on recovery.

Beta alanine is quite good for recovery and muscle endurance, but I would not say that its effects are drastic to say so. As @Muskate has well said already - you could be getting much better results with creatine, which is much cheaper, more available, and at the same time it gives a more noticeable effect. But if you can afford it and don't mind spending some extra cash, then you can definitely use beta alanine, as it will still be beneficial for your performance and recovery.

Well, the tingles is a legit thing, for me it actually gives a little kick.

Other than that, beta-alanine works similarly like creatine, it gives you the extra energy to push for a few more reps

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. Based on your reviews I am going to add it to my pre-workout routine of black coffee and creatine.
