Total estrogen and estradiol question

sup guys. anytime in the past, my doc would always test estradiol, but for some reason she did "estrogens total" this time and the range is 40-115 and mine was 240. i'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with that. i'm assuming that's including all the types of estrogen, but does that necessarily mean my e2 estradiol is also high? my endo appointments are 6 months apart so won't be going back for awhile, testosterone was at 900 so she just told me to lower the dosage a bit which i've already done. i don't have any noticeable symptoms, most of the info i can find on it seems to be more for women. thanks

Estrodial is just one form of estrogen is the body man. There are like 16 different forms of estrogen in the human body

Long story short...if your total estrogen is high then you need to start using an aromatize inhibitor like aromasin to bring it back down to the normal range

The obvious question is 'do you use AIs?'

thanks for the replies guys, but i'm more interested in the lab test itself and the total estrogens relationship with estradiol, since it's the first time in 3+ years of trt i've had this particular test done. i managed to find one thread online where a guy had a high estrogen value like mine, but his estradiol was in range. just wondering if someone here has ever had that particular blood test done since in my trt experience it's a first. sorry if i wasn't clear in the original post. i'm not abusing my dose, and i've already lowered it as per my endo, and taken .25 of arim.

there is also that situation where tren raises estrogen too

bottom line is though play around with what works for you. your body also changes, that is why blood work is important. $60 isn't a lot of money. we spend way more getting our teeth cleaned or car checked
