I will be running 500 mg a week of test. I will be planning on doing 12 weeks with Aromasin. I have checked out the perfect pct and will follow that to a T. I am currently 27 years old with 13% body fat and I am eating super clean. I would like to gain 10-15 lbs I’m currently 185lbs 6’2. Is 12 weeks a suitable cycle time or should I be doing 16 weeks?

12 is good. Good luck. Key is the pct and the end. Keep training. Keep the diet on point during pct.

Exactly. I would argue that the PCT is even more important then the cycle itself. A proper PCT ensures you keep all the gains you made on your cycle.

What good is a cycle if you gain 20 pounds but don't keep any of it

Aim for 5-10

if you want to recover keep your cycles short 8-11 weeks tops.

16 weeks and you are in the danger zone.. you have to factor in ester clearance

and my final advice is don't set unrealistic goals. 10-15 pounds is 1 pound a week. you CANNOT gain 1 pound of muscle per week. if such a thing was possible people would be putting 50 pounds a year of hard muscle. it is more like 1-2 pounds a YEAR of muscle is possible. and before people chime in and say i'm wrong PROVE IT. show me one person who has ever put on 50 pounds of muscle a year. that would mean after 5 years they would have put on 250 pounds of muscle. BULLSHIT

12 weeks max. Dont focus on weight, focus on your strength and track your workouts. If all of your lifts go up substantially you are getting stronger and the gear is doing its job.

Weight is just a number, in the end if you look leaner, more vascular, and put on a little more size then that's all you can ask for.

1lb a week might be a little unrealistic but 1lb a year is probably for someone who has reached their potential already.

This from Leangains regarding drug free builders..
The Law of Diminishing Returns

(Height in centimeters – 100) = Body weight in kilo (“shredded”, i.e. 5-6% body fat).

Example: If your height is 180 cm (5’11), subtract 100 and you get 80.

80 kg (176 lbs) is your maximum muscular potential when you are in peak condition; rock hard abs with visible veins running across them, striated arms and delts, and so forth. Scroll down a bit to see examples of what I mean.

Am I saying that height (in cm) – 100 is the absolute limit for most drug-free athletes? No, but I’m saying it’s pretty damn close and that the true limit will not differ from height – 100 in any meaningful way. This can be explained by the law of diminishing returns.

During the first six months of weight training, one might see a muscle gain of 1.5-2 lbs per month; that sweet newbie magic, where you gain muscle at a rapid rate. It’s not uncommon to see that muscle gain accompanied by fat loss.

After six months and through the second year, you might see muscle gain of 1 lbs per month. You’re able to increase weights linearly in the gym and everything is still pretty awesome.

Things slows down significantly in the third year, to the tune of about 0.5 lbs muscle gain per month.

In the 4-5th year of training, progress is slow. 1 lb of muscle every 4th month.

5-10th year, 1 lb per year.

For complete naturals with average to good genetics the pure muscle gains (with proper training and nutrition) go something like this (as far as i have read):

1st year: 16-20 pounds
2nd year: (1/2 of what your genetic maximum during 1st year of productive training)-- i.e. 8-10 pounds
3rd year: similarly-- i.e. 4-5 pounds
4th year: similarly-- i.e. 2-3 pounds

5 year +: barely noticeable

Just my 2 cents

P.S. Casey butt did research on the gains of elite bodybuilders that was relevant to this topic (but that may not be relevant to most who are not elite)

No need to fixate on numbers anyways. Just do your absolute best with the cycle. if you gain 1,2 or 8 lbs, as long as you are busting your ass you will progress. Over the long haul if you keep progressing you will be happy.
