Trainer session at 0700. After two years, this is my last session with Sarah, her husband was reassigned to Fort Knox KY, and so they are moving. We are doing legs today, I will log the workout afterwards
I will miss her

I use two eggs and two cups avocado oil, 4 cap full lemon juice, salt, tbls dijon mustard
In a mason jar then hit it hard with my immersion blender. Booom!! Mayo!!

Saturday morning 0145
1 full hour of cardio.
I have a shoulder dealio on Monday, so I decided over the weekend to let it rest and try to settle any inflammation going on.
I did really light movements this morning with a bit higher rep and tried not to pressure the joint to bad.
Light chest hammer strength incline pin loaded, 40lbs 4 x 25
Hammer strength flat bench pin loaded
40lbs 4 x 20
Incline cable flys, shallow 12.5 kg x 50

Doing tri’s irritates that shoulder, so I whipped out some seated calve raises.
Called it done.

Will do the same tomorrow with cardio and back and Bi’s and abs

Love the reps here... 100 reps love it. At our age I'm learning this gives us the best pump and hypertrophy. And our joints are always just primed enough to switch to strength/power lifting if we want to experiement.

Good morning, i have that shoulder procedure tomorrow. So I didn’t want to stress out that joint anymore than it already is.
I just did legs on Friday, not ready to repeat. Quads on Tuesday, Hammys on Wednesday and calves on Thursday and then back to my normal split on Friday

BUT…May we are going to start the process for a Peripheral Nerve Block. This just might be the ticket!!

So we will go for 90 days and then do the peripheral nerve block. And when that works, it will be good for a year!! And then look out!! Big Daddy will be going for some old man mass style workouts!!!

Very common situation for sure. @MarkNV seeing this type of scenario happen many times, you aren't alone on this. Just recover man. Hopefully you feel better.

I will give the cortisone a couple of days to settle in and all will be good for about 2 months. The arthritis came on so fast, it wasn’t there and then all of a sudden it was!!
 
I check everyday when I start cardio, the podcasts are part of the routine now!

@MarkNV Any idea how thick the needle was? I hope he numbed you, right?
 
Oh yes!! That was basically the catheter and he piled in the numbing agent at the same time and then piled in the cortisone
yeah I can imagine it was a thick needle. I don't really know why they have to use a thick needle with cortisone. I've always wondered about that. Is it may be a thick substance?

I went too heavy on some behind the head single dumbbell raises and of course I'm feelin' it now (not in a good way). High rep pumps and muscle torture is the way to go for us old dudes, unless you're @Mobster but no one is Mobster LOL

Hell yes!! I am on one right now! I am mentally ready to cut. It has taken me a minute to get back into that frame of mind. I have been trying to get my mind into it for a while and now I think I am finally dialed in and have my brain wrapped around doing it, I actually feel excited about being hungry.

Thats it!! It is weird how our bodies pick what works best. My loves sweet potato and brown rice. Just enough! I am sitting at 79 g carbs for the day. That is perfect for me. I am to hang on this for 12 weeks and then turn up the meat again!!!
