Nightly Update

Going to get this update in quickly before I go out with the wifey for valentines days.

Currently crashing at my mums house. She looks after the kids while me and the misses get some dinner and drinks. Can’t stress enough how important it is to have a good support structure when you have a family. I’m very blessed in that regard (and many others).

But bros, I fucked up. I completely forgot about Valentine’s Day. Wife got me a nice card and booked a night out for us. I played it off and quickly got something after taking the kids to swimming. I think she knew, but didn’t care 🤣 she’s a good woman!

Training - deload

Last day of the deload. I cannot wait to train tommorrow, I’m absolutely pumped!

Even better, I’ll get to train with the wifey, as my mum will watch the kids in the morning. We used to train together all the time, but with kids we have to “divide and conquer”.

Can’t wait to show her feats of strength that will remind her the beast she married!

Food

In all transparency, I haven’t tracked calories today. I knew I would be going out and enjoying a restaurant meal, so I just ate my normal-ish meals and then I’ll be enjoying some dinner and drinks later tonight.

Weighed in again at 91.5kg. I didn’t lose any weight over the deload which is good.

My first training season back was chest and biceps, and it felt good to be back in the gym. Super refreshed and feel like any CNS fatigue I had is nice and washed away.

Training - Chest and biceps

Took the weights back a bit to avoid go too hard too early. My first couple of weeks are usually building back and then the strength gains return. 1 step back to take 2 steps forward.

Db incline press - 40kg, 42.5kg, 45kg
Db flat press - 45kg
Cable flys - machine setting 23kg
Chest press machine - machine setting 77kg
Bb curls- 30kg
Db hammer curls - 15kg
Db concentration curls - 12.5kg

Got a brutal pump. Felt amazing!

Can always look towards high calorie dense carbs that are low volume.
More liquid carbs during training sessions.
Dehydrated fruit is always a solid option for more carbs/cals without the volume to digest and get all the added micro nutrients.

I had to REALLY cut my leg workout down, lower back still isn't 100%

I originally took a deload because i was dealing with some CNS fatigue and lower back pain. The deload seemed to resolve the CNS fatigue, but on attempting my normal leg workout, the lower back pain seemed to return.

Im not at all worried, as i know its either just some tightness or a little sprain. I know the difference between a full on injury and just some wear and tear. Im not 20 anymore, i have to be cautious of these things. I got a physio appt booked for next week, it was the earliest i could get in.

Ill probably modify my leg and back workouts around my lower back, just until i feel its back to 100%. This is part of the game, you just need to catch these things early.

Training - Legs

So i attempted to return to barbell squatting, but as i titrated up, i could feel my lower back tightening. As i attempted the RDL, i could tell my lower back didn't have the ROM to do the exercise properly. I sort of then went to the leg machines and just got out alot of sets and reps to get a good pump. Leg training will have to be modifed a bit.

BB Squat - 100kg x 8, 140kg x 5
BB RDL - 100kg x 5, 100kg x 5
Leg Press machine - 160kg x 10 (4 sets)
Leg Extension - full machine x 10 (3 sets)
Hamstring curl machine - 63kg x 10 (3 sets)

Not the best result, but i was thinking of switching up my leg training even before my back pain. I was considering that instead of doing the old school method of heavy squats, do what the pro's do and do heavy hack squats and belt squats. I don't really see modern pro bodybuilders do squats anymore. Anyway, its always worth trying something new.

Food went down much easier today. Appetite and digestion feels back to normal.

I don't think you lose anything at all by not squating. In some cases (taller people), it's probably beneficial. For glutes/hammies you could try back extensions instead of RDL's. I find them heaps gentler on the lower back.

Following along. The back injury definitely has me watching. My lower back is quite problematic. So watching how you tailor your excercises here is interesting.

I notice the thc ancillary. Do you find this holds you back. I too get a little naughty in this department. I always wondered if its a major hold back. But your looking killer i find too much inflammation relief too give it up not too mention The mental side effects .... it just helps

Very astute not pushing the point on your lower back bro. Certainly get it checked to see if something is fundamentally not in order. Might just need to slowly increase once it's cleared to allow the area to get used to the loads again. I have to do that, its annoying no be able to push hard but lets face it, the alternative is potentially a far worse outcome 😉🩵

I notice the thc ancillary. Do you find this holds you back. I too get a little naughty in this department. I always wondered if its a major hold back. But your looking killer i find too much inflammation relief too give it up not too mention The mental side effects .... it just helps
im probably going to move away from heavy compound movements and go more towards and good contraction.

The only thing I’ve noticed with the thc is that is sometimes makes me a little dehydrated.

I honestly think heaps of athletes use it. I find the double standard of some people who will use steroids, but be completely against THC.

I think it’s beneficial, but like anything you need to be responsible.
Very astute not pushing the point on your lower back bro. Certainly get it checked to see if something is fundamentally not in order. Might just need to slowly increase once it's cleared to allow the area to get used to the loads again. I have to do that, its annoying no be able to push hard but lets face it, the alternative is potentially a far worse outcome 😉🩵

1) People often train too frequently. As in 6 days a week vs 4
2) I work (as a lifter) to an aimed for number over up to 16 weeks then back off for 8-12 weeks. Bodbybuilders don't. Esp those who don't compete. That's why you end up needing to ease up for a week
3) Just plan on rests

I was burning the candle pretty aggressively. My old man has always sworn by 1 week off ever 12 weeks, and he's still pushing iron in his 60's!

I ended up doing two workouts today, because im not going to have time tommorrow night to hit leg again. I decided to go with a different training style for legs and it completely cooked me.

Hopefully i cant still do BJJ 2 tommorrow morning.

So normally today i only do BJJ, but like i said before i wont have time tommorrow night, so i did it early.

BJJ session was good. My lower back is still a little tight, so i can't be my normal explosive and aggressive self. I normally push my athletic advantage pretty hard on people. Today i had to focus more on skill and accept some matches were just not going to go my way. People are pretty cool to if you just tell them you can't roll 100%. Someones nearly always hurt, just happens to be me this time.

Legs 2 was brutal. I decided to go with some new exercises today to not put any load on my lower back. Adding some new stuff really was the challenge i needed. Some exercises i felt like i was doing baby weight.

I ended up doing two workouts today, because im not going to have time tommorrow night to hit leg again. I decided to go with a different training style for legs and it completely cooked me.

Hopefully i cant still do BJJ 2 tommorrow morning.

Training - BJJ1 and Legs 2

So normally today i only do BJJ, but like i said before i wont have time tommorrow night, so i did it early.

BJJ session was good. My lower back is still a little tight, so i can't be my normal explosive and aggressive self. I normally push my athletic advantage pretty hard on people. Today i had to focus more on skill and accept some matches were just not going to go my way. People are pretty cool to if you just tell them you can't roll 100%. Someones nearly always hurt, just happens to be me this time.

Legs 2 was brutal. I decided to go with some new exercises today to not put any load on my lower back. Adding some new stuff really was the challenge i needed. Some exercises i felt like i was doing baby weight.

Plate Loaded Leg Press - 240kg
Bulgarian Split Squats with DB - 15kg DBs
Single leg machine press - machine setting 63kg
Leg Extension - Machine full stack
Hamstring Curl Machine - Machine setting 57kg

Nightly Update

Had a good session today, really starting to feel my muscles come back to life after the deload. I promised myself i would take more frequently deloads to avoid getting the same CNS fatigue. I mentally feel so much better!

Training - Back

Hit back tonight. Scaled back the weights and focused on the contraction. Got such a brutal pump, it felt like my arms were resting on my lats.

BB Pendlay rows - 80kg
Plate loaded, single arm pulldown - 80kg each arm
Cable Lat pulldown - machine setting 79kg
Single arm cable row - Machine setting 77kg
Close grip cable row - machine setting 79kg
Straight arm pulldown - machine setting 56kg

Treated myself to some preworkout lollies, really helped with the pump!

Food

Was easier to eat higher carbs today, with the extra carbs from the preworkout lollies. Appetite feels much better and digestion is back to normal!

Bros, that's a good little experiment. I wonder too if it's the opposite. Let's say you're a trust fund baby and you got nothing to do all day and you're trying to work out. I bet that you have a hard time building muscle that way too.

Had a rest day and spent the day with the family. Went to the beach, had some bbq. Got plenty of sun and fresh air.

Another parent commented “woah, look at your shoulders” which was nice 💪

You often only get compliments online and rarely in real life, especially from a friend you aren’t super close with.

I was supposed to weigh myself today but my scales needed a new battery so I’ll pick one up when I go food shopping tommorrow. I think my weight has increased because I definitely feel bigger.

Training - Rest

No training today. Went out to the beach with the kids. Got plenty of exercise absolutely LAUNCHING them into the water.

Each time I’d try to throw them higher and further. Much to my wife’s fear.

Of course they love it. Feels good to be strong enough to completely send my kids into the air like a football 🤣

Slightly higher fat and lower protein today. Enjoyed a rest day with the family and was a bit more loose with the diet. Back on track tommorrow.

Today i finally cracked open the injectable Anadrol from @Prymal . I hadnt had anadrol in YEARS, and i always liked it when i was younger. I was warned that the PIP was a little spicy, but PIP is character building.

To be honest, i didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. I little dull ache, but its not like water based winstrol or something. The pip is pretty similar to L carnitine. I actually got the syringes mixed up and didnt remember which one was which, so i dont even know if the pip was the anadrol or carnitine.

Had an absolutely sick workout though. God i love me some anadrol!

Training - Chest and Biceps

I injected 1ml of the Anadrol 60 mins before the workout. I did the whole thing in my glute. Normally i jab the muscle group im about to train, but im not sure if that does anything different. I might try that next time.

About 20 minutes after the injection i could feel the heat in my face. After the full our i could feel the blood pressure increase. During my workout, i was basically back to my full strength before the deload. My eyes were bloodshot and my eyeballs felt heavy when ever i bent over. Safe to say, its real anadrol :LOL:

DB incline press - 45kg, 50kg, 50kg
DB flat press - 45kg
Cable flys - machine setting 27kg
Incline chest press machine - machine setting 84kg
Single arm db preacher curl - 12.5
Single arm cable curl - machine setting 14kg
Single arm hammer curl - 12.5kg

Im only going to run this for 2 weeks, workout days only. Then i'll take a LONG break before cracking open another. I love this stuff, but you have to use it sparringly.

Food

Back on my normal macros today. Food went down easy. I still value the reta, even on a bulk. It helps with keeping me locked in on the correct food choices. I can have 2 slices of pizza, and not need to eat the whole thing. I can see myself staying on it year round. There is just so many benefits!

Im only going to run this for 2 weeks, workout days only. Then i'll take a LONG break before cracking open another. I love this stuff, but you have to use it sparringly.

Food

Back on my normal macros today. Food went down easy. I still value the reta, even on a bulk. It helps with keeping me locked in on the correct food choices. I can have 2 slices of pizza, and not need to eat the whole thing. I can see myself staying on it year round. There is just so many benefits!

Nightly Update

I ended up doing two workouts today, because im not going to have time tommorrow night to hit leg again. I decided to go with a different training style for legs and it completely cooked me.

Hopefully i cant still do BJJ 2 tommorrow morning.

Training - BJJ1 and Legs 2

So normally today i only do BJJ, but like i said before i wont have time tommorrow night, so i did it early.

BJJ session was good. My lower back is still a little tight, so i can't be my normal explosive and aggressive self. I normally push my athletic advantage pretty hard on people. Today i had to focus more on skill and accept some matches were just not going to go my way. People are pretty cool to if you just tell them you can't roll 100%. Someones nearly always hurt, just happens to be me this time.

Legs 2 was brutal. I decided to go with some new exercises today to not put any load on my lower back. Adding some new stuff really was the challenge i needed. Some exercises i felt like i was doing baby weight.

Plate Loaded Leg Press - 240kg
Bulgarian Split Squats with DB - 15kg DBs
Single leg machine press - machine setting 63kg
Leg Extension - Machine full stack

Nightly Update

Had a rest day and spent the day with the family. Went to the beach, had some bbq. Got plenty of sun and fresh air.

Another parent commented “woah, look at your shoulders” which was nice 💪

You often only get compliments online and rarely in real life, especially from a friend you aren’t super close with.

I was supposed to weigh myself today but my scales needed a new battery so I’ll pick one up when I go food shopping tommorrow. I think my weight has increased because I definitely feel bigger.

Training - Rest

No training today. Went out to the beach with the kids. Got plenty of exercise absolutely LAUNCHING them into the water.

Each time I’d try to throw them higher and further. Much to my wife’s fear.

Of course they love it. Feels good to be strong enough to completely send my kids into the air like a football 🤣

Food

Slightly higher fat and lower protein today. Enjoyed a rest day with the family and was a bit more loose with the diet. Back on track tommorrow.

Today i finally cracked open the injectable Anadrol from @Prymal . I hadnt had anadrol in YEARS, and i always liked it when i was younger. I was warned that the PIP was a little spicy, but PIP is character building.

I weighed in today, almost a whole kilo lighter than last week. I have a theory that I had a bit of “delay” in my bodies weight. I didn’t lose any weight when I was sick from the Reta overdose. So maybe the weight drop was delayed, as I probably was processing out the glycogen and food waste.

So I’m not going to bump calories just yet. I want to see how my weight stabilises over the next week or two. If I keep consistently losing weight, then obviously it’s time for a calorie increase.

Training - legs

Again, I treated myself so an anadrol injection pre workout. I think the effect compounded, because I had a great workout, even better than yesterday. The pumps were almost excruciating.

I managed to get a PR on leg press, while it being my second exercise. It was being used so I moved the exercise selection around, and it was still super strong on all lifts.

Plate loaded leg press - 240kg, 280kg, 300kg
Db Bulgarian split squats - 15kg
Leg extension - machine setting max
Hamstring curl - machine setting 77kg

The only exercise I didn’t increase was the Bulgarian split squats. Damn they are brutal!

I noticed a slight reduction in appetite. I’m not sure if it’s from the anadrol or just a coincidence. I don’t remember getting the appetite suppression the last time I ran it, but that was almost 10 years ago. I was younger and probably more “bulletproof”.

I got the calories down regardless.

I didn’t notice any difference between the two. Neither have pip that is intolerable, and both absolutely rocket me into top gear. The strength feels endless. I was warming up and had to check the weights to see if they were right.

Since taking a break from the THC, I do feel much more focused and alert. I was probably enjoying it a little too much and a little too often.

I also have been experimenting with longer needles. I can normally get away with a half inch 27 gauge tip. I decided to try using a 1 inch 25 gauge tip. It might just be in my head, but I feel like it’s even more comfortable to get nice and deep into the muscle.

I had a bit of a stressful day and i took my frustration out on the gym. Nothing beats taking your bad day out on the weights. Afterwards, you forget why you were even upset and it feels like you've worked the bad emotion literally out of you. Like you sweat it out.

Training - Shoulders and Triceps

This is the 4th day in a row that i've trained on the injectable Anadrol. It is amazing how well it works. I do notice some acid reflux and appetite supression though. Im hoping that only taking it on training days, and having a day off of it tommorow will help with that.

DB shoulder press - 40kg
DB delt raise - 20kg
DB front delt raise - 15kg
DB rear delt raise - 15kg
Cable delt fly - machine setting 23kg
Cable Tricep Extension - machine setting 68kg
Single arm cable tricep extension - machine setting 23kg
EZ bar incline skull crusher - 32.5kg

I didnt intend to do so much volume. I felt strong and had to energy, so why not? Plus, i got a sick pump!

When i was a younger man, i could eat just fine on Anadrol. I could eat 100mg of the stuff and still pound the food (blood pressure be damned).

Now, even with the injectable version, its absolutely KILLING my appetite. Im getting the food down, but good lord its hard.

Nightly Update - Weigh in 90.5kg

Weight stayed the same this week. I’m hesitant to increase calories just yet. I want to have a couple of weigh ins in a row with stalled weight before increase calories.

I have increase insulin to 9 units, as my protocol is 10units for every 10kg of bodyweight.

Training - Chest and Biceps

Was able to march my previous week pr and throw in another set. The 50kg db is the biggest ones in my gym at the moment, so I guess now it’s about getting more sets and more reps.

I should be allowed to put whatever i like into my body, as an adult. If you want to smoke, drink and eat unhealthy food, you have every right to. How is PED's any different?

Something to note, is that my appetite has been getting increasingly crushed with the preworkout Anadrol. As i didn't have a weights session today, i didn't take any. Im hoping this will give my appetite a bit of a time to "catch-up". If my appetite continues to be hampered, ill have to cut this 2 week experiment down to just 1 week.

Training - BJJ1

Today, i got my shit absolutely pushed in by a new guy that i'd never fought before. This small, short, skinny brown belt, just fucking destroyed me like i was a day 1 white belt. All class, i felt like the fucking man! I was bulldozing people, hitting submissions i never get, just feeling like a killer.

This guy, who i would have been 2 to 3 weight classes bigger than, completely humiliated me. It was the first time i felt like giving up. I could not make any sort of meaningful offence on this guy. Even when i decided to just go all in, and brute force my way through things, he would just reverse me and make me look stupid.

He wasn't rude or mean about it, he was just super good. I remember at the end of the class sitting in my car just completely bewildered. I had never felt such a skill gap. It was motivating though. I will beat this guy one day. Not today, not tommorrow, but one day, i will beat him!

Food

Getting the calories in today was absolutely brutal. I was so close to getting out the vape pen to stimulate some hunger, but i know i needed to take the break. I have no idea how i used to eat Anadrol like skittles and still pound the calories.

I love Anadrol, but it isnt loving me back!

Training - Back

Still testing out the injectable anadrol. I have two batches, one from @Norvex and one from @Prymal . I’ve done 2 of the Prymal and had my first of the norvex to compare.

I didn’t notice any difference between the two. Neither have pip that is intolerable, and both absolutely rocket me into top gear. The strength feels endless. I was warming up and had to check the weights to see if they were right.

Bb pendlay rows - 100kg
Single arm plate loaded lat pull down - 100kg each arm
Single arm cable row - machine setting 84kg
Cable lat pulldown - machine setting 88kg
Cable row - machine setting 88kg
Cable straight arm pull down - machine setting 36kg

I pinned the anadrol into my lats and even in a spot like that the pip was fine. A dull ache but stop complaining and take your shot like a fucking man.

Food

Calories and macros have stayed consistent which is good. Appetite is stead and energy is nice and stable.

Since taking a break from the THC, I do feel much more focused and alert. I was probably enjoying it a little too much and a little too often.

I also have been experimenting with longer needles. I can normally get away with a half inch 27 gauge tip. I decided to try using a 1 inch 25 gauge tip. It might just be in my head, but I feel like it’s even more comfortable to get nice and deep into the muscle.

Might just be me.

Bodybuilders are generally healthier that most of the general population too.

I managed to eat fine today. Got in alot of fruit, as i feel like my body was craving fresh and easy to digest carbs.

I speak alot for a living, and public speaking has always come naturally to me.
 
Nightly Update

I skipped my morning BJJ class, as i plan to go tommorrow instead. I had my physio appointment today this morning for my lower back. Turns out its nothing, just some tightness. Had a massage and then immediately went to train legs.

The physio suggested that unless i really wanted to breakdown my squat form and build it back up, just to pick a different compound movement for legs. So i guess i'll just stick to super heavy leg press instead.

Training - Legs 2

I had another shot of Anadrol, and gosh i felt strong. The appetite supression is still pretty brutal, but nothing i cant muscle through. Felt super strong this session.
