Current phase:

I’m currently in a Body Recomposition and Leaning phase. Having transformed from over 200kg down to 110.7kg, my focus is now on hardening the physique and increasing muscle density. I'm refining my hypertrophy work while ensuring the fat loss stays consistent and healthy.


Future plans 3-6 months:

I’m aiming to tighten up the entire physique and bring out that hard-earned definition. More importantly, I’m focused on reaching my peak strength potential I want to push my numbers as high as they can go and continue building a powerful foundation while the fat keeps coming off.


Future plans 1-3 years:

Long-term, it’s about sustainable health and elite-level conditioning. I want to see how much quality lean mass I can carry at a lower body fat percentage and reach a "maintenance" phase where I am the strongest, healthiest version of myself.


Training split:

My training is built strictly around my night shift roster. I don’t train on my work nights, but I hit it hard during my time off. This follows a cycle of a 3-day training block, followed by a short work stint, a 5-day training block, and then a longer work stint. I train fasted for almost every session, usually hitting the gym around 10:00–11:00 AM (provided life doesn't throw a spanner in the works!).

My Split Logic:

I prioritize heavy lower-body work at the start of my off-blocks to allow for maximum recovery. I then move into Chest/Bis and Back/Tris. During my longer 5-day block, I dedicate a full session to Shoulders and Core; during the shorter block, I’ll fold those into the other upper-body days. I occasionally hit the gym on the day of my first night shift, but I leave that up to how the body is feeling!


Things that make you happy in the gym:

An amazing environment makes or breaks the experience. When I first started, I worried about being judged the same feeling I had before joining Evo. But you quickly realize people are either there to "smash it out and leave" or they are genuinely excited to see you making healthy changes. Finding that supportive, judgment-free energy is what makes the grind worth it. My only regret is that I wish I’d joined the gym and the Evo community sooner.


Things that tick you off in the gym:

Equipment camping. I totally get that some lifts take time for setup, heavy plate loading, and proper rest.. that’s part of the game. But the people who sit on a machine for an hour just to talk? That’s a hard "nope" from me.


What inspired you to start training:

I reached a point where I knew I had to break some old habits smoking, social drinking, and emotional eating. I figured that being around people who were actively trying to improve themselves was the best place to start. Little by little, one small decision at a time, the bigger picture started to change. The gym started as a tool for survival and turned into a genuine passion.


What keeps you motivated to continue training:

In the beginning, I practically had to "Happy Feet" myself into the gym like the penguin in the movie, I had to trick myself into taking that first plunge off the ledge! Once the scale moved and I started hitting PBs, it became a different game. Feeling things that used to be hard become easy was a real shift. Now, seeing muscle definition in the mirror is a huge driver. On the days where motivation isn't there, discipline takes over. Once you see what your body is truly capable of with consistent discipline, you don’t want to stop.


Outside of the gym you'll find me:

Spending time with my partner and family, catching up on sleep between those night shift blocks, or relaxing with some survival games.

Thats why I wanted to get this new segment " War Born Loggers Corner " started. To give back to my team as they do so much for the War Born brand!

I have organised a small questionnaire for each logger and will be going through our huge list of 16 loggers every so often and doing a segment drop!

Current phase:

I’m currently in a Body Recomposition and Leaning phase. Having transformed from over 200kg down to 110.7kg, my focus is now on hardening the physique and increasing muscle density. I'm refining my hypertrophy work while ensuring the fat loss stays consistent and healthy.


Future plans 3-6 months:

I’m aiming to tighten up the entire physique and bring out that hard-earned definition. More importantly, I’m focused on reaching my peak strength potential I want to push my numbers as high as they can go and continue building a powerful foundation while the fat keeps coming off.


Future plans 1-3 years:

Long-term, it’s about sustainable health and elite-level conditioning. I want to see how much quality lean mass I can carry at a lower body fat percentage and reach a "maintenance" phase where I am the strongest, healthiest version of myself.


Training split:

My training is built strictly around my night shift roster. I don’t train on my work nights, but I hit it hard during my time off. This follows a cycle of a 3-day training block, followed by a short work stint, a 5-day training block, and then a longer work stint. I train fasted for almost every session, usually hitting the gym around 10:00–11:00 AM (provided life doesn't throw a spanner in the works!).

My Split Logic:

I prioritize heavy lower-body work at the start of my off-blocks to allow for maximum recovery. I then move into Chest/Bis and Back/Tris. During my longer 5-day block, I dedicate a full session to Shoulders and Core; during the shorter block, I’ll fold those into the other upper-body days. I occasionally hit the gym on the day of my first night shift, but I leave that up to how the body is feeling!


Things that make you happy in the gym:

An amazing environment makes or breaks the experience. When I first started, I worried about being judged the same feeling I had before joining Evo. But you quickly realize people are either there to "smash it out and leave" or they are genuinely excited to see you making healthy changes. Finding that supportive, judgment-free energy is what makes the grind worth it. My only regret is that I wish I’d joined the gym and the Evo community sooner.


Things that tick you off in the gym:

Equipment camping. I totally get that some lifts take time for setup, heavy plate loading, and proper rest.. that’s part of the game. But the people who sit on a machine for an hour just to talk? That’s a hard "nope" from me.


What inspired you to start training:

I reached a point where I knew I had to break some old habits smoking, social drinking, and emotional eating. I figured that being around people who were actively trying to improve themselves was the best place to start. Little by little, one small decision at a time, the bigger picture started to change. The gym started as a tool for survival and turned into a genuine passion.


What keeps you motivated to continue training:

In the beginning, I practically had to "Happy Feet" myself into the gym like the penguin in the movie, I had to trick myself into taking that first plunge off the ledge! Once the scale moved and I started hitting PBs, it became a different game. Feeling things that used to be hard become easy was a real shift. Now, seeing muscle definition in the mirror is a huge driver. On the days where motivation isn't there, discipline takes over.
