back pump

I tried a quick search and couldnt see much, i know its on here somewhere because ive seen it,

this morning i did hams and ended up stopping because of an unbearable back pump, so how much taurine should i be supplementing with to help or is it an arbitrary thing that depends on the individual
 
It may take a little Trial and Error.
But 3 Grams is a good starting Point.
Look for 1,000 Mg Caps (1-gram), they're a lot less expensive.

I've also found that adding some Magnesium helps a lot.
Magnesium is responsible for Proper Muscle Contractions.
400 Mg is a good Dosage................................................. JP
P.S.
If you are Sweating Profusely during your Workouts.
You may want to try some Trace Minerals in whatever you're drinking.
It'll stop any Electrolyte Imbalance.
P.S.S.
I use Concentrace Trace Minerals in my Intra-Workout that I make.
The Taste is Acrid on it's own.

much appreciated, i could hardly even stand up straight by the end of the workout so ill be going after work and picking up EVERYTHING you suggested...

the trace minerals, is that on the shelf or should i be looking online?

im curious to hear more about your intra workout,
 
Indeed. Also, just a heads up, but if you're supplementing with magnesium, be sure it isn't citrate. Or make sure it doesn't contain high doses of magnesium citrate. Unless you want to number 2 during squats :p.

Usually it doesn't do that unless you do over 400 Mg.
I use it occasionally to relieve Constipation.

Works better than any Over the Counter Med without Cramping.
Do like 800 Mg before bed with a big glass of water..................................... JP

Use the Chelated Magnesium (elemental).
It's more Bioavailable.
I use Doctor's Best, it's good and inexpensive.

I feel ya bro those back pumps can kill your crucial leg workouts. I get taurine in bulk powder depending on what im running I sometimes go up 5g. Ive never tried the magnesium for back pumps gotta give that a shot. If your look for the most cost efficient way get tub of the powder instead of caps

I hit legs this morning and this fine ass chick doing squats on the rack next to me farted as I was hitting 90 degrees on squat with 405 loaded on bar nearing my last rep... Started cracking up so hard I damn near dropped the weight. The look on her face was priceless hehe

yeah i figure the amount is a trial and error thing ill start out at 3g and feel it out i almost had to lay down after stiff legs lol

I take 2 grams Taurine twice a day. And like JP, I also supplement one magnesium cap.
I need to find magnesium caps. I can only seem to find tabs. They taste like shit.

This is some good advice you are getting here. Also, you can take potassium (the easiest source for it are bananas) and calcium. These help a lot. Moreover, caffeine has proved to be quite effective for me, so you could give it a try too.

i was already supplementing with potassium thats why i wasnt taking taurine from the get go, i was hoping it might be enough to help,
actually i just started with caffeine this morning and i didnt have any noticable pain or cramping, but i also took 3g of taurine...

as long as i get relief i dont care what does it lol but thank you for your input, much appreciated,
 
Hope this is not too far off topic, but I feel it's related.

I too have issues with back pumps when I have Deca in the equation. I love the stuff, but I do not tolerate it well in terms of overall comfort. Not only do it get ridiculous back pumps, but I get shin splints that are just indescribable! Same same? For me, if I am experiencing one, I have them both.

I have been using Taurine for so long,it's become habit to drop the caps in my morning and PM holders. I need to double check the dose. It must not be enough.

BTW,.. I started the Trace Minerals today, so thank you to JP for the heads up on that one. I hope it helps with hydration. Many days I don't get enough water.

i agree with you about the pump, but this was almost unbearable, I could barely stand up straight... im really considering adding proviron but i have no experience with it and haven't heard much besides the odd thread....

The only thing I'll add is make sure you are stretching out your lower back adequately. Most people gain 10-20 pounds relatively quickly when starting a cycle and that is a lot of weight to suddenly add to your lower back and core. Remember that human have an X frame. The lower back is the pivot point. I suspect your lower back muscles are very tight and that's only further aggravating the problem.

Spend a couple minutes each night in the yoga pose 'childs pose'. It'll help loosen up tight lower back muscles. http://www.yogajournal.com/pose/child-s-pose/

I used to have the same problem doing deadlifts back when I was competing and on cycle.

anavar is well known for pumps bro.

I've been working my abs before on the stuff and had to lay on the ground from being in so much pain after a set unable to move

there comes a point where the pump becomes counter productive. if I am going to be on the ground in agony then yeah its going too far lol

thanks for the suggestion, ill try that out tonight and get a good stretch, it's really pretty obvious when you put it that way, but it's probably overlooked so often...

yeah this was me, only i was doing stiff legs and the last couple of reps i could barely come up above parallel because of the pain i was getting, i had always heard of back pumps from anavar but never really understood what was meant...i understand now lol

Twinlabs makes Caps in 400 Mg strength/Now Foods makes one/even Nature's Made makes a High-Potency that's 400 mg.

I've been using Twinlabs for years, cause they've been around a very long time, and make some decent products................................... JP
