so lets say I have MP3 file music I want to put on a CD to listen to in my car. yeah I know there are better ways of doing this, but this is for someone who is older who isn't tech saavy

assuming my computer doesn't have a CD burner hardware/software already built in.. what are my options? is there a website I can have a CD made then sent to me? can I simply download the software online and just go buy a blank CD to use? or does anyone on here do that sort of thing where I could just pay you to make me a couple CD's if I gave you the music mp3's

Cd player in the car definitely doesnt have a headphone looking input? Or bluetooth...or any other way to input a signal....

I want to keep this as simple as possible.. I simply want to give them a CD with music on it they can stick in their CD player while they drive.

Hi,

I saw this thing before.

http://www.tech-faq.com/how-to-connect-an-mp3-player-to-a-car-stereo.html

If you have an I-Pod. You can use a fm wireless adapter to connect to your radio on your car.

If you don't have one this one is small and cheap. This I-Pod is small and cheap and works well.

You can plug and I-Pod into your computer with a USB and just click and drag mp3s into the I-Pod folder from your computer and that's all you need to do.

That's the easiest way I know of.

If you have a CD/DVD writer in your computer, you could download a free program and burn the CD. <- ideal.

If you don't have a burner, you could go to a store and buy a USB DVD writer (for like $20 or less), buy some CDs and burn the CD yourself. <- your best option, if you don't already have a CD/DVD writer installed in your pc.

iTunes is free to download and use. It is easy to use and has built in encoding/burning software.

If you need any help with it, just ask.

Something like this will do the job just fine.

some computer shops will download the music onto cds if you ask. just phone a couple and they will point you in right direction

Most computers from 2007 onwards come with built in DVD/CD burners as standard. You could probably do it at work or anywhere with a 2007+ PC?

so if I buy this... all I would have to do is buy some blank CD's right? then just connect this to my computer and load mp3 files to them.

$13 plus the cost of blank CD's is exactly what I was looking for .. thanks..

I have 3 computers that are all less than 2-3 years old .. I tried looking to see if they had them and it seems like they do not.. unless I am not looking in the right place. how would I know if they had it?

Yeah, if you bought that external USB drive you would just need to get blank CDs and you're good to go. Then download iTunes (free and easy to use).

Follow this simple guide:

http://www.wikihow.com/Burn-a-CD-with-iTunes

If you had a burner already installed in one of your current PCs it would say "DVD-RW" somewhere on the front of it. Drives that can only read data will say "DVD-R".

Hope that helps.

The simplest scenario would be to find a friend or family member that has a CD burner and have him burn the CD for you. I am sure if you knock on your neighbours door with a black CD and a USB with the songs you want burned he would do it for free.

That is exactly what I was about to propose. If you save the music on a USB flash drive, in many computer shops they will burn the CD's for you if you ask them nicely. I have done this many times when I did not have the chance of burning the CD on my own. Just brought the stuff on a USB flash drive, brought a blank CD, and asked them nicely to burn the CD - they never denied me this favor. Don't know, if I just asked nicely, or it was the tren madness on my face when asking....in any case this is well possible to do.
