Idk if anyone on the boards knows (maybe some of you GNC employees can help me out?) but where does GNC source there creatine from? i know some brands will use CREAPURE creatine and others will choose to get it from china and other "shady sources" ..reps for good info

I buy nutricost creatine sourced from creapure. It's the cheapest creapure option I've found (just note they also sell cheaper creatine that is not creapure as well).

No such thing any more.

I didn't know there was such a quality issue with creatine.

In the past for sure. A quick recap:

So back when I started out mono was... £100 for 100g. It came into the UK via a trick race horse trainers were using with their rides (in a giant tea bag). Then it got down to £10 for 100g. Now I can get a kilo for £10.

Back when it was crazy expensive you can imagine people tried to source it for less. Obviously the Chinese stuff came in and boy oh boy was it full of impurities. So Degussa in Germany started their 'Creapure' brand. they guaranteed it'd be 99.99% pure vs a standard 99.9%. The Chinese have picked up their standards cos they can afford to. It's a lot cheaper to mass produce than before and the same machines and processes are used world wide.

There are some people that swear by the Creapure and I'm like 'why... it's 0.01% ''better''. No more gains etc etc.
