Hello I can’t take pre workouts because I suffer from anxiety ,and I hate the way pre-workouts make me feel.So I started using creatine and I wasn’t getting the anxious feeling of having to use the bathroom every five minutes .However I have been getting really bad stomach pains since I’v been taking the creatine, Is this normal or should I go see a doctor? Has anyone else experienced this?

If you're taking regular Creatine Monohydrate, some people do report some Stomach discomfort.
Either take it with Food like RickRock said.
Or you could switch to a Buffered type of Creatine - Kre-Alkalyn - less stomach upset has been reported with this type.

Also for a Pre-Workout, make your own with some AAKG/Beta Alanine and for Energy without the Jitters.
Look for 5,000 Mcg. Methylcobalamin Vit B-12 Sublingual - Solaray makes a good one................................... JP

I battle anxiety and stomach discomfort daily, I think I also have IBS. I still take my pre workouts, I just use the rest room before the gym.

yes & yes.

add fiber to your diet. be more diet conscience, some guys just don't do well with it.

IBS won't be alleviated by diet, maybe it'll help, but I eat as clean as can be the majority of the time and plenty of greens/fiber still get stomach cramps. I don't take the medication doc prescribed me as I already put tons of shit in my body. Haha

Have you tried maybe eliminating gluten from your diet? I have not but I hear stuff all the time about gluten intolerant people.

Yea sounds like IBS to me man, and some anxiety that's very much of an inconvenience for you. Creatine personally distroys my stomach as well, as Jp stated, especially! Monohydrate, not only does it cause stomach pains, I'll be in the rest room in no time. Most preworkouts send me to the bathroom within 15-20 min. Lol. Perhaps you should further address the anxiety, you take any meds? Any OC's? There's a few for anxiety that work real well let me get the names again.

I can't tolerate creatine monohydrate myself. I have IBS. I'm not "allergic" to gluten on testing but eliminating bread helped me gl enormously. I used to take the aforementioned Kre-Alkalyn which didn't bother me. l recently tried creatine hcl and have no problem with it. 3-5 g. Half pre-, half post-. The body is a mystery and everyone's is different. Good luck bro.

My brother in law suffers severely from ibs and colitis. He follows Dr Jillian mckeiths food bible on how to live with these symptoms. After about 6 months of that diet (and a decent amount of growth hormone) he is syptom free. He says diet is the most important factor of keeping it under control.

Have you ever tried Dspark from N2BM OP? It's not your typical PWO and doesn't get you all cracked out. You should give it a try if you haven't

I also have IBS. Doc gave me all kinds of different prescriptions but nothing worked. I have the same problem with creatine and certain pre-workouts. I just deal with it and battle through. Let me know if any of the advice u got here works.
