hey guys,

i am following a dietary plan but i need some advice
i go to the gym right after work so i eat me last meal at about 7-7.30 pm
isnt that a bit late for such a big meal ?( 100g rice with chicken and vegetables) i go to bed around 10 pm
i eat around 2.30pm aswel , 4 slices of bread with chicken , maybe i shuld switch those 2 meals and eat the slices of bread after me training at 7.30 pm

I am not sure where these myths came like "you shouldnt eat after 7PM" or "you can't eat carbs after 7PM"

Is that 7pm eastern standard time? General mountain time? Pacific time?

Why 7PM? Why not 6PM? Why not 8PM?

See what Im getting at. It makes no scientific sense what so ever.

You should ALWAYS eat a big meal after your workout. After a workout, your amino acid levels and glycogen levels are depleted. You want to replenish your body so your body can start recovering and rebuilding the muscle you just broke down during your workout.

As a general rule - your pre workout and post workout meals should always be the biggest meals of your day. It makes sense when you think about it. Food is fuel. You want to fuel yourself for your workout and refill your depleted body after your workout.

Everything you are doing looks good - however I would switch the bread in your 2:30PM meal to a gluten free carbohydrate source like rice, sweet potato, oatmeal etc.

When planning your meals, don't look at the time of the day, but rather on the usage of energy that you have throughout the day. So if you train at night, it is perfectly fine to eat at night, since you will need energy, and nutrients for the muscles that got stressed during the workout session.

the only reason not to eat close to bed is because when you lay down it will be harder to fall asleep while food is digesting

if you have acid reflux you will have issues too.

i always like to go to bed well fed after dinner, maybe 2 hours prior, with a snack in between. if you go to bed hungry, you won't be able to sleep either.
